The staff working in the restaurant are very friendly and make you feel first class. The room overall is very clean, has many element like air conditioner, internet, big bathroom etc. I would recommend hire a car as it is quite far from the city but luckily there are some shops and restaurants near the hotel. It is a nice area with no traffic in the night and most of the people working there do speak English as well.
The Hotel is on the outskirts of Rome and on first appearance we thought it was a little run down. However how wrong I was the staff especially Marco the waiter and the desk manager were a pleasure to chat with . The Hotel was clean and well looked after the WiFi was a little poor but not to complain about. The surrounding area looks a little dated and run down but everyone we talked to were the most friendly people anyone could wish to meet . A pleasure to go to the shops restaurants and pubs in the locale so friendly not at all threatening .
We stayed here after reading the reviews, on our arrival the hotel is in a run down area but looked quite nice, staff friendly, nice room, spacious and clean. Only 2 English channels on TV, all channels very hazy. Evening meal, don't cater for vegetarians, spaghetti or salad! I had squid with seasonal vegetables, turned out to be a bed of overcooked chicory, that was it, not very filling. Breakfast, cakes or toast!!! Really, cakes for breakfast???? Got the 444 bus to rebibbia, no English speaking bus driver so didn't pay anything, went into the metro and changed the machine to English then understood why no payment on the bus, 36 euro's for two tickets for the whole of Rome for three days, not bad I thought. So overall nice trip, ok place, not bad accommodation, absolutely awful food and no selection at all, menu the same EVERY day and not a lot of it.
the staff was really helpful and friendly the breakfast had a vast selection was nice, if staying in this hotel i would hire a car its around 35 mins by car to centre of Rome but there is a bus stop outside the hotel, there is plenty of parking outside hotel there is no smoking in the hotel you have to stand outside hotel was very clean and well managed the staff couldnt do enough to help.
We booked this as part of a 6 nations package. Distance from Rome to far bus journey from metro scary. And a final walk to hotel uncomfortable don't feel same at all . Got into hotel room dark and miserable feel to it wall outside window covered in plastic ivy. Not like any of the rooms on website. Went straight onto booking .com and got a 4* hotel in rome for less than this one. Back to reception got taxi booked and straight back to metro into centre. This has a rating of 4* not sure how it gets it from rooms or location even the staff not bothered about us leaving shrug of shoulders and a bye bye NOT. bad move going here avoid at all costs mainly location and travelling to and from .
Me and my partner travelled there for the 6 nations weekend last week. I wouldn't say that they rate the star system in the same way they do in the UK but was still a lovely hotel all the same! When we arrived the receptionist was lovely and friendly and checked us in quickly, for any of you not aware though there is a €6 per night per person city tax charge which isn't a problem but it's worth knowing to factor into your budget as it's not included in the initial booking cost! Our first room we where given wasn't quite up to scratch with quite a few missing light bulbs, partially fallen down ceiling and a hole in the bathroom wall, but we spoke to reception who had no rooms available that day but swapped us the following day to a more suitable room! The WiFi is none existent! with there being only one English channel on the TV in the room, my partner and I tried to download a few TV shows to my Ipad to watch in the evenings, it however, took 3 days to download a single episode so I would recommend downloading anything you may need before you leave home!! Breakfast is included which is great for the price, but make sure you get there early! Although the breakfast finishes at 10 o'clock if you go after 9 you may find yourself with no milk for cereal, no bread for toast and no cooked food. There was however, a large selection of cakes, fruit and more jams and spreads then any normal person needs! but it was good to have a variety if there was some bread available to toast =) The rooms were spacious and clean which is the main thing! and you get you selection of tiny toiletries which is a lovely touch. Staff are friendly and do they're best to helpful, however, if you find that your key stops working for any reason insist on a new one on your first visit to reception to save yourself two days of asking and countless trips back to your room to prove that your key does not in fact work!! Overall not a bad hotel if your working on a budget, it's a fair distance from the main part of Rome but is still accessible. Would still recommended for a place to lay your head and have a lovely trip to Rome!!
The rooms are big and clean,the staff is very polite and helpfull and there is a big breakfast buffet.The location is far from the center but there are 2 Atac busses,no 404 & no 444 that can tranfer you to the metro station.I wouldn't choose termini because hotels or b&b rooms are old and nothing special.Degli imperatory is a great value for money hotel but you must have in mind that you need to use public transport(bus & metro) or rent a scooter to reach the center.
We have stayed there for 2 nights in September 2014. The hotel is very good; a really big room, tasty breakfast, helpful staff. Wi-Fi worked well. So the location is not the best one; but we found a very good pizzeria next to the hotel (not touristic one!), it would be hardly possible in the center of the city. So we are glad with his location indeed ☺. I would say this hotel is a good 4* hotel. I would recommend it to all who is not afraid of location challenge.
I stayed in several hotels in various cities in Italy ( 4 total) and this has been the worst location , information provided on the website of the Internet is completely different to what you actually get. First, I had book the hotel one day prior to arriving to Rome. On the website, the city tax that I needed to pay for my stay was 4 euros per day. However, once I got to the hotel, the city tax was raised to 6 euros. They claimed there has been a "raise" in city tax overnight. How could that be possible? My reservation clearly stated 4 euros. There was also a problem with the wifi. There was not internet in the rooms and I was told t was due to a technical problem that they were trying to fix it. I have read the previous reviews I realized that other people were told the same thing. The internet can only be used in the lobby, This is not a 4 star hotel as they claim. I even asked for a bottle opener to open a bottle of wine that I bought and event that they were not able to provide me with one. As for the breakfast, the food was cold and had very few choices. Not a good experience at all!
I declare at this point I did not stay in the hotel, but my daughter did and so my poor review is based on MY dealings with the hotel over her arrival. I emailed the hotel and inquired about the most direct and safest way for my 20 year old daughter to get to the hotel as she was arriving on an evening flight. 1st time in Italy, speaks no Italian. I was advised a car/taxi could be sent to pick her up, the driver would wait for her in arrivals. The usual, holding up a board with her name on etc. She landed and NO driver to be found , she called me, distressed as to what to do now, no idea where to go where he might be. her flight had been delayed 20 minutes from departure time in London. I called the hotel, the reception advised they had sent a taxi, but the driver had phoned in claiming my daughter has not boarded the flight, he had clearly not looked at the boards etc and had no waited and left. I explained the flight was only 20 minutes late, they had the flight number and the driver should have easily looked on a board and seen this and then waited. He was booked and being paid for the job. The reception did not care at all, and told me to tell her to get a airport taxi of the rank. She eventaully arrived at the hotel to be greeted by the same receptionist who was not welcoming at all, greeting her with "Are you the one that was late" no apology, no explanation, just a cursory check in, room number and a sloppy "the lifts are over there" I emailed reception and asked for the email address of the hotel manager to try and get an answer as to why they had not delivered on a basic service, and now 5 days later I still have not heard from anyone. I was very clear in my email I wanted her collected and delivered. It is a service they offer and failed to deliver, and subsequent silence confirms my thoughts
