Abitart Hotel is an artsy hotel, with the lobby and public areas featuring different pieces of original artwork, and the rooms decorated in different themes. We used the conference facilities and were pleasantly surprised by the delicious lunch buffet that came with the conference package. Breakfast is served in a garden-like cafe, also full of artwork, and the breakfast spread is quite varied. However, the coffee machine in the breakfast room does not serve good cappucino; ask the staff to make it for you. My only complaint about the hotel is the very spotty internet service, particularly in the upper rooms. I ended up working in the lobby most nights to catch up on email, because this was a work trip. If the management upgraded its wifi service, this would be an excellent hotel. It is conveniently located to the Ostiense train station, Eataly, and many restaurants and bars.
This hotel is a very good choice to pick if you want to stay in a classy environment not super pricey (aka overrated). The facilities are pretty new, pretty well refined and the position is convenient if you want bar and restaurants at a walking distance
a good hotel , great breakfast, friendly staff in very interesting area of Rome. Would definitely recommend, Close to the Basilica Di San Paulo, Commonwealth War Cemetery, Eataly, Centrale Montemartini Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art.
Due to the major good reviews we booked this hotel for us and our parents as a birthday present for 4 nights. In advance we asked the hotel if our parents could have a room with terrace (we booked 2 superior rooms). Unfortunately our request was not answered and at check-in it was simply rejected by "we tried to give our best, but could not arrange". Next disappointing question at check-in was, if we could have a coffee and a croissant next morning as we had to leave (for a Vatican tour) at 6:45 - this was also impossible as the breakfast opens at 7am and the bar wars not equipped. But the biggest annoying point was the 24/7 running fan outside our room (#406) which forced us to wear ear plugs to sleep. This fan even makes the toilet bowl vibrating - fortunately our parents room was 3 numbers away so they had no continuous disturbing noise. The breakfast is good for Italy, but the coffee is undrinkable - obviously this is the reason all Italian speaking guest get their coffee served from another machine --> 👎 The hotel and rooms itself are clean an decorated with art. The bathroom is big but oldstyle and used. The location of the hotel is good, you will find good connections to public transport and many restaurants and small supermarkets closed by.
A very nice and clean hotel located near the bus stop from Fiumicino airport. Friendly staff, very good service and centrally located in easy reach of major historical sites of ancient Rome. Thank you Abitart. We will be back!
Stayed here for a conference for 3 nights. Took about 30mins to talk to the colosseum- slowly! This was a great hotel. They can arrange an airport shuttle for you at a good price and the staff are brilliant. Great breakfast, good location, amazing restaurant on site (good wine)and good rooms. I am staying again.
Very good hotel with lovly art.friendly staff room is ok noview parking garage next to the door.and amazing restaurant with excellent food. At the reception they gives us the right information to visit Rome great.location is just out of the centre but in 15 min you are at the colloseum.
Friendly staff (slow check in though, I like them quick), nice decor, clean and quiet. In a good location too. If you need to go to Eataly this is the place to stay. Good small restaurants nearby. I did not have breakfast, but my room was top.
good but not 4 star internet very bad breakfast very good room is good but not 4 star location is near metro The area at reception for sitting, having a cup of tea and coffee, reading palers The furniture was kind of dated and the sofa in our room was torn. But hey, it's Rome, you're out walking all day.
Our room was clean & comfy, & the public areas were impressive, but overall I was not impressed by the hotel. Breakfast was ok if you like chocolate flavoured cereals and cakes. Service was off-hand until the last morning of our stay when a waitress discovered we were English & asked us lots of questions about places she should visit. Reception staff were not very friendly or helpful, I requested a non slip shower mat on the first night of our stay,& again on the second night, next day a pair of towelling slippers were placed by the shower!!! On one day we had no hot water from at least 4pm, reported it to reception & were told an engineer was working on it. All the members of our party had no hot water that evening, next day it was back, but only lukewarm. We didn't use the restaurant as the menu was too fancy & too expensive, so we found some nice little restaurants locally. This hotel is not in a very good area & if I had been travelling alone I would have been nervous about walking around the area by myself. In the brochure in our room, it said there was an outdoor seating area & cafe/bar on the 5th floor which we couldn't find, don't think it exists.
