It was one of those winter nights when you only hope to find a place open to welcome you, who do not book anything in advance. Despite the cold rain and late hour, the hotel was a perfect find. Breakfast was as surprising and good as service. the right place to be outside of Rome
We visited the hotel near the end of September 2017 prior to departing on a cruise. The hotel and grounds were delightful and the rooms were well furnished and clean. The bedroom was average size for a European hotel but the bathroom was quite large. The shower stall was a bit on the small size if you happen to be a large person. The staff was wonderful. We had an incident where we discovered one of our party was missing a medication. We contacted the manager at the front desk who suggested a couple of drug stores and made some calls for us. We were able to get a replacement without any issues. The hotel location is very convenient to the business section of Santa Marinella and is walk-able. We found excellent restaurants and coffee shops for our morning breakfast. We also picked up cheese, bread and cured meats for a breakfast on the hotel grounds. Yes, the rusty pier structure is still awaiting renovation but it was not a problem for us as we had lounge chairs and umbrellas on the adjoining concrete pad area with drink service from the bar.
Exquisitely situated right on the Mediterranean,. a charming, boutique Hotel. Our spacious room (403) was very clean with a beautiful view of the water from our balcony. Comfortable, quiet and immaculate. Extremely friendly staff. Love the General Manager, Paula ----speaks excellent english!!! You can't go wrong here! Will probably book a couple weeks during the season. Only here for 2 days prior to cruise. Great shuttle service to/from cruise port!
Villa delle Palme was a delightful pre-cruise stopover that allowed us to enjoy the area outside of Rome and explore the Lago Bracciano area. The rooms were small but very clean and comfortable and ours had a generous balcony overlooking the quiet street. The staff spoke fluent English and were very helpful with our sightseeing questions. The restaurant La Perla Nera in the lower level was a perfect spot for the first night as we arrived late in the day and didn't have the energy to go far. There is a 15 Euro breakfast buffet that we didn't try but it seemed popular with other guests. The lounge area with chaises was a nice spot to enjoy wine while watching the sea and sun. It was a little chilly to swim but on a hot day it is easy to get into the ocean. We would stay here again pre- or post- cruise as the hotel is only 20-25 minutes from the cruise port.
We stayed or 3 nights pre cruise, it as so peaceful and relaxing. the villa was so friendly with buffet breakfast, lunch from the bar , sitting on the sun terrace over looking the sea. dinner could be had at the hotel which had a good choice. sandy beach 10 minutes walk with café..In the evening people sat around chatting and everyone was so friendly . We visited pizza restaurant 2 mins away and pizza was as big as the table and beer really cheap. Will be back to the villa again with friends next year
My wife and I recently spent a couple of nights at this hotel after coming off a cruise. I had seen the good TripAdvisor comments previously, but we were very pleasantly surprised with the hotel and the excellent restaurant food.
This is a very nice, clean, elegant hotel with a beautiful garden, cafe and hotel (run by another company) facing the see. Rooms also nice and clean but simple by furniture. Own beach, not a sand beach but stone, better for adults than children, and so is the whote hotel, I guess.
Knew nothing of this little place, perfectly situated right on the Mediterranean,. a boutique Hotel, small and perfectly formed. Our spacious room had a seating area, good for a longer stay, was quiet and very comfortable, kept in immaculate condition by friendly cleaning staff. All the staff are so special , friendly and kind, management, and every person we encountered on reception, during our 6 day stay, they went out of their way to make our stay an experience we will remember always. A small restaurant on the premises has top class food, and the Hotel, serves breakfast and a very nice lunch. Walks in the vicinity are numerous, Santa Marinella is a little gem of the true Italy, close to the Cruise Port of Rome, and on the rail line ,with services to simply everywhere.. We hope we can return one day, or that someone we know could also have that pleasure.A highlight of our time spent in Italy.
This is a nice little boutique hotel. Friendly, English-speaking staff. As of July, 2017, the seaside pier was still dismantled, with only the rusted infrastructure standing. In the guest lounge area, seaside, a railing had been removed from the stairs and was being painted directly behind our chairs. No complaints with the room, but the seaside amenities are in significant flux at the present.
This boutique hotel is situated next to the ocean. We had a balcony room, which was very clean and comfortable. The staff is amazing and the views are even better. The little "beach" area (without any sand) is awesome and you can order drinks and food while you get some sun.
