We had a wonderful time and the home had so many amanitas. We all had a great time and there was something to do for everyone at the home from darts to walking and sight seeing or just relaxing on the patio. We had a wonderful visit and absolutely enjoyed the ability to relax and unwind at this spacious cottage that had more than enough room for everyone.

Dog trip

Great place for dogs, there is a pretty big fenced in yard. Great wifi for those that have to work. Very clean and they have just about every thing that you need.

Home sweet home

Tony’s place is great. My husband, 2 daughters and I had a very nice stay. We used it as home base and went fishing one day and to the beach the next day. It has everything you need to cook and hang out and enjoy yourself. The house has a warm, familiar feel to it and we especially loved the way the kitchen is outfitted. If you have a dog bring it! See you soon!!

Cute Little Bay Getaway

We were visiting family for Thanksgiving that live just down the street from this adorable Goose Island house. It is decorated in a perfect beach theme so even though the weather was a bit chilly we still felt like we escaped the black Friday bustle in the city to enjoy the serenity of the sand and waves. The house is within walking distance of the bay and if you want to jog a little farther it's easy to get to the Big Tree and see the whooping cranes along the way, otherwise everything is just a few minutes away by car or cart. The cottage had everything we needed, even extra blankets for the chillier weather that blew in during our stay. The kids were happy to find some toys, bubble machines and a giant monkey, and we were welcomed with snacks. Tony was easy to contact and the check in and check out was the easiest we've ever had with renting vrbo's. The house is updated in some ways, but maintains it's old charm in quirky little ways that we love. The neighborhood is so quiet and you get a great view of the stars because there's no streetlights so it gets DARK at night. Tons of wildlife to see including gators. Rockport beach is just over the bridge and if you want to take the ferry you have easy access to Port A. There's not many places to stay on Goose Island so if you can snag this cotttage it's worth it!

Amazing Stay

What an amazing quiet community, free roaming deer everywhere. The water and boar ramp are lest then a 2-minute drive. The house is everything you need for a weekend or weeklong stay! Well-stocked with all the essentials. Purified drinking water in a 5-gallon dispenser, so no need to bring cases of bottled water.

Perfect for a Family Vacation

The house was clean and comfortable. The location is quiet and convenient to Rockport/Fulton. If you are looking for a place to take the family and enjoy Rockport Beach or a day of bay fishing, this is a great place to stay. We brought our 2 dogs and they enjoyed their stay as well. The backyard is quite large and the surrounding neighborhood is great for taking walks. Just be ready for the Deer.

This neighborhood is a hidden gem. It’s wild, but nice, secluded but close enough to civilization. There is so much wildlife! This is where I want to live when I retire. What a beauty

Relaxing

This is a peaceful home in a quiet neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Everything went well from start to finish. We have loved the Lamar area for years, but this was our first home rental. Oh yeah, we'll do it again. Thanks Tony.

Great property!

We stayed for 6 weeks. The house was great with nautical themed decorations. It has a huge fenced in backyard and was great for the dogs. The neighborhood is nice and the traffic is low on the surrounding roads. Great place to take some walks. It is a fairly short walk to the bay (1/2 mile or so). There are a couple of ponds close where you can sometimes see alligators sunning themselves. We typically did a a 2.5 mile loop over to the “big tree”. Looking forward to staying again in the future.

Perfect Stay

I just can't say enough good things about this place and Tony. It was so peaceful and a stay my spouse and I will definitely never forget. We stayed for 2 months with our 2 dogs. The house is clean, bright, and had everything we needed for a long stay. We felt right at home. The yard is large and secure. There is a great sun room (the dining room) where there was enough room to set up my office. The location is truly magical if you like nature. There were stars galore, frequent deer parades, herons, egrets, whooping cranes and even a couple of alligators (safely away from Tony's property, of course). Just a short walk to St. Charles Bay (one we did with the dogs every day). Tony was very responsive and resolved any issue we had very quickly.

Cozy!

We enjoyed the house and quiet neighborhood!! The house was relaxing and well kept. Enjoyed the poker table and dart board. Beds comfy and plenty of room for 8 people. They had sand tools, water guns and bubble machine for the kids. Only 35 min drive to the ferry in Port A. HEB and Walmart close by. Nice open back yard as well. Cute decorated rocks and beautiful sea shells to welcome you at walk up. The only thing I would recommend is putting the address street view with a light. We will defintly be coming back to visit.

Nice location, perfect fishing stay

We didn’t stay at the house because the ac was not working and it was 90 degrees inside. However, the home owner was very helpful and apologetic for the issues with the ac. Would recommend the location for fishing or kayaking.
