This house worked well for our family with seven people of all ages and really enjoyed our first trip to the Rockport/Gloucester area. Hopefully we'll get a chance to return and would highly recommend the area and property.

Beautiful house but
Home was very nice but the layout was something that had an impact on our stay. Kitchen was small, so for a family, it was a bit challenging to maneuver around when we were all in the room. As far as layout, here are three key things that would've been helpful for us to know before we booked: (1) the living room was upstairs and the stairs were "older" stairs that weren't as deep as traditional stairs. That meant that our elderly parent did not go upstairs to join other family members in the living room. (Also, picture of living room in listing makes it look much bigger than it is.). (2) To get to the kitchen, you have to walk through a bedroom. So, for those of us who were early risers, who weren't in that bedroom, we walked outside the front door, around to the back, to let ourselves in the kitchen each morning. (3) While the two-story deck is nice, you can't access it from the kitchen. On the main level, you access it through a bedroom; on the upper level, you access it through the living room.
The house itself was charming and nicely decorated, so no issues there. The owner was responsive and helpful and the people who live next door to the house were kind, generous, and very friendly. Made staying there even better!

Harris Wedding Stay
The location was great. parking was the only challenging issue for a family get together at the house as people came and went at different times. The wedding reception was in Rockport on a sunday and it was great being close enopugh to walk to the reception!

Great location
The short walk to Bearneck and galleries/shops/restaurants was very convenient. The layout of the house worked well since we travelled with a friend who was able to have some privacy from my husband and I. The quiet neighborhood provided a good escape!

Beautiful, sparkling clean home in an amazing location
I spent the long Labor Day weekend at the Tuck House with my sister, her college roommate and my teenage niece to celebrate my sister's birthday. The house was absolutely perfect for our group and all of our plans. The home has been beautifully and very thoughtfully renovated and decorated while still maintaining the original character. The bedrooms are quite large and having 3 full bathrooms was a luxury! The kitchen was well appointed for our breakfasts at home and the one dinner we cooked together. The two decks are fantastic for relaxing outside or enjoying wine & cheese before dinner.
The Tuck House location is ideal, especially since parking in town can be tough during the high season. Front Beach and Back Beach are both walkable, especially with the fantastic wagon for beach chairs! All other restaurants and shops are just minutes by foot, making for a very easy and accessible weekend.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend for a Rockport getaway.

Perfect vacation spot
Great house, great location, made for a perfect vacation. Kerin was quick to respond to any of our questions, making check-in super easy. The house is just the right mix of Rockport history and modern amenities, beautifully decorated yet casual and comfortable for a family with two energetic kids. The location was just right as well; a quick walk to the beach, shops and restaurants, while tucked away on a quiet neighborhood street. We felt like locals for the week, popping over to Bearskin Neck to pick up food or drinks, then relaxing on the deck or in the back yard. Extra touches like the keurig machine, beach chairs and wagon, and books and games for the kids (they loved the classic nintendo system!) made us feel at home. Thank you!
