This property is located nicely--easy walk to Rockport's public beach (but no "private footbridge" that I ever saw) and Bearskin Neck. It's a fine old house. Space-wise, it fit our family (6) well. There are toys, a nice TV, 2 baths, and lots of towels.
However, unlike any other VRBO property where I've stayed, you should be aware of a few shortcomings:
The kitchen had cooking/eating tools, but lacked the small food-related essentials provided by every host I've had--i.e, NOTHING edible. No salt or pepper shaker, no ketchup, coffee, teabags, sugar, oil... You must buy/bring everything. To be fair, there were three dishwashing pods, and a wee bottle of dish detergent
The kids' little bedroom had bare windows. Their air conditioner's seals had a gaping hole with tattered package tape. I texted the company; they thanked me and said they'd report these things were needed. Nobody called, texted, or came; we hung towels over the windows to keep the early sun from waking the kids.
I later sent them a recording my son made of what I recognized from experience as the sound of a mouse chewing in his bedroom wall (all night long, he said). They thanked me. Period.
This odd lack of responsiveness could be because the property is managed at a distance by Atlantic Vacation Homes; I never saw a human.
Overall, there was an of inattention--a broken drawer here, a sprung shade there, a non-functioning stove burner.
They charge a breakage fee up front. It's unrefundable.
