Great spot for a family vacation. Mix of owned condos and hotel managed condos. Pools were great and they just added a new bar. Staff were friendly and helpful. All of Roatan is friendly and helpful. Beachfront is small but it’s fine because you can walk up and down freely. Took two rooms. Our kids’ room had a water leak that took a full day to fix, all the rooms on our side of the resort were without water for most of one day but thankfully back before dinner time, the water maker for the fridge never worked. Honestly, these were not major issues for us. We know we are on an island in Honduras so nothing works perfectly. One really good part was the water and ice were perfectly fine at the resort so we could drink from the tap. We were there a week and we could have been more cautious but we weren’t and it was fine. Explore dining outside the hotel. Great places within walking distance.
One final tip. Yes, tips. Everywhere, there’s a tip jar. Putting a few dollars here and there goes a long way even when service charges are applied already. I recommend bringing new USD bills as they will reject worn and torn ones of which there are many because they circulate a lot there.
