My wife & I recently visited Roatan & stayed at Pineapple Villas. This resort is amazing!!! Two restaurants, a bar, a spa & numerous pools. The condos are spacious & very clean. It is in a great location. The staff & owners went above & beyond anything we could have ever expected. I highly recommend Pineapple Villas. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The resort is in mid island. It is centrally located and close to other attractions. The resort is clean, nice accommodations, and great staff. The pools are clean and great for children because they are not that shallow. The package we got included access to the private island of French Cay which has exotic animals and a natural habitat. It also has great activities. I highly recommend it for families.
One of the best apartment style hotels I have visited. The rooms are clean and the daily cleaning service is excellent. The rooms are cozy and are fully equipment with kitchenware and even a washing and drying machine. A five minute walk can take you to Eldons supermarket where you can find any groceries local and imported. Best of all, the hotel has an unlimited day pass to the beautiful French Key! A must visit. I surely would visit again Clarion Suites at Pineapple Villas and the beautiful French Key!
My family and I travelled to Taulabé for ten days then made out way to Roatan for 4 more. We stayed at Infinity Bay then the day were to start our way back home, the plane broke down. HA! Coxen Hole airport is two terminals and maybe one mechanic with a cell phone. Needless to say after a couple hours of waiting they cancelled our flight. I took to Twitter and messaged United Airlines and before long we were moved to the front of the line (because we had two girls) and booked us one night in this beautiful hotel. Our room, or should I say small home, was superb, spacious and had their own washer and dryer. We (my wife that is) were able to catch up on laundry, grab a great dinner courtesy of United and try out our personal pool right out the back of the villa. For the short time were there the staff was great and worked hard to get everyone checked in in a timely manner. The main problem was the pool water - all pools - was frigid. I have been to Alaska and bathed in glacier water which came close to the temperature of their pools.
Pineapple Villas is a great place to stay in Roatan. The grounds are beautiful, units are spacious and well decorated, great views of the water and it has a sports bar/restaurant that is excellent. The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable.
I have stayed here on business a couple of times and although it is not on the beach it does have great pools and a fantastic restaurant on site with an incredible selection of sports memorabilia. Most of the units are privately owned and rented out when the owners are not using them. As a result there can be some discrepancy between the quality of the rooms. You will probably need your own vehicle to get around the island if you book here but I believe the hotel does have a shuttle bus to take you to a beach close by.
We (3) arrived fairly late in the evening and had private transport to the Hotel. This Hotel is near the town area of French Harbour and a fair distance from the tourism concentration in West Bay. Check-in was smooth, we were on the 3rd floor, the accommodation, very spacious (2 Bedroom suite, approx 1300 sq ft, everything was as advertised, elevator worked well, stairs are also in good shape. full Kitchen with Ice in the freezer, good Wifi throughout the apartment, TV in the living room and the Bedrooms, good programming 60% spanish 40% english, beautiful balcony with Ocean view (South Coast) apartment well furnished and clean (some rash from users) appliances in good condition. Maid service was prompt and decent! No complaints. The property is very well kept, beautiful Flora throughout, plants look very healthy and very colorful, the 3 pools are clean and well designed pleasing to the eye. Staff was very friendly throughout, obviously some spoke better english than others, after all it is a Spanish speaking country!. Breakfast was a la carte with a good selection, service was good although I did see some challenges. We did not actually have lunch or Dinner there, if I may make one comment about the menu, for my taste, it was a little too focused on the North american fare! We did eat some small meals in the Sports Bar (Herbie's) this locality is on the 4th floor of the Hotel and was a typical North american style Sports Bar with at least 2 dozen TV screens with the usual full gamut of sports events being portrayed. Herbies also had live Music on Friday & Saturday night, playing a little bit of everything from Salsa to Country. perhaps because of the volume of music and TV, this was the area were we had the most misunderstanding and mixup of orders, not everyone in our party of 7 was amused! Checkout at the end of our stay was not difficult, but a bit tedious, because Honduran Government regulation require bills to be produced (and charged) in Lempiras. Cost of the room was very acceptable (March is the height of the tourist season) Cost of food and beverage is in the range for a tourism facility, government tax on food is 15% and on alcoholic beverages 18%. Service charge was a standard 10% on all Restaurant checks. We did not avail ourselves of any of the ancillary services like Gym, Beauty saloon, massage etc. therefore I cannot comment on those. The shuttle bus will pick up and deliver to airport or Ferry. In closing, I would definitely stay there again and can recommend the property!
I chose this hotel for its free access to Little French Key, and I'm glad I did. My family of 4 stayed in a 2 room condo that had a pool/ocean view. The kitchenette was convenient, and the the design was charming and authentic to the region. I didn't like the fact that they didn't have softer beds and the linens weren't great. No comforters on the bed, just a thin cover. Pools close too early at 8pm. Service was slow at Pineapple grill, but the food was good. Other than that, the grounds were beautiful, the pools are awesome and I would stay here again. They also made me a bouquet out of the flowers on the property for free. I thought that was a nice touch.
We enjoyed the nice clean room here and the beautiful grounds with abundant flowers. Unlike some places in Roatan, you can get a nice hot shower that stays hot for the whole time. We enjoyed eating at both of the restaurants here and the spa provided nice and relaxing massages.
My husband and I spent a long weekend and enjoy visiting Little French Key Island that is a facility by the beach that the hotel offers. At the hotel the restaurant offers a salad and soup bar that is excellent, you also can choose from the menu. Service is excellent!
