We chose Casa Sunrise specifically because the listing describes it as "on the beach — a rare beachfront property" with West Bay Beach a "2 min walk." None of that is true.THE PROPERTY HAS NO BEACH. Despite the listing explicitly describing this as a beachfront property, there is no beach. None. You cannot even access the water from the property. That alone is a fundamental misrepresentation of what you're paying for.THE LOCATION IS ALSO WRONG. Based on the listing and map pin, you’d think that you could at least walk to nearby beaches in a minute or two. You can't. The property is actually on the other side of the island from where VRBO shows it. The beach is roughly a 15 min walk up and down a big hill. With a young child and beach gear, that's not a minor inconvenience — it changes the entire dynamic of your trip. Instead, we had to drive, find parking, buy day passes, etc. That is a completely different vacation than what we booked.When we raised this with the caretakers, they sent us to a nearby condo for beach access. The condo owner told us directly that our property has no access through them. When we reported this back, the caretakers didn't dispute it — they just suggested we drive to west bay beach and buy resort passes. They knew. Nobody once acknowledged the listing was inaccurate or offered to make it right.We are pursuing resolution through VRBO. Future guests — check my picture to see the actual location and beach access independently before booking.
