The first night of my Husband and my business trip, brought us to Rivière du Loup, Quebec. We decided to stay at Days Inn. Instead of the main hotel, we requested to stay in one of the chalets. The girl on duty couldn’t accommodate us, as she said number one the room was bigger than what we wanted, and secondly it wasn’t cleaned! We told her we were happy to pay the extra. But why at 5:30pm was the room not ready? Check in is usually 2:00 or 3:00pm. The last few visits to the hotel, whenever we walked down the passage, the floorboards would creak. We thought this visit they would have fixed the flooring, however, being right at the end, was even worse. We heard every footstep by other guests, and am sure they heard us walking too. Breakfast as usual was pretty dull. They have NO fresh fruit, only out of the can, and if you lucky, one ripe banana.... The cereal is old, in huge pourable containers. Wouldn’t recommend unless nowhere else to stay. Sorry, time for upgrade
Excellent hotel for pets. Rooms are set up to accomidate pets with easy access to outdoors without disturbing other guests. Comfortable rooms, beds, etc. Great staff!
The front desk fellow was excellent ! Very helpful .He also helped up with ordering our delivered food as we unfortunately don’t speak a lot of French .agsin he was excellent . The beds and sheets were very comfortable , a smaller older hotel room but very clean .
We rented the loft and my was it amazing. Massive! We have two dogs who loved it. WEnt to the breakfast room in the morning to get food and brought back to the lodge to have at the kitchen table. Would DEFINITELy go back. Excellent basic food, vending machines for late night (arriving from the highway!) and lovely staff. So clean.
I booked this hotel as part of our family Christmas travels and we needed a place that was pet friendly as we were travelling with our two 5 lbs dogs. We booked well in advance online and when we arrived we were told that we could not have the two queen bed room we booked because it was not pet friendly. He told me all he could do was offer me a cabin with a bed and a pull out couch. Having travelled all day I wasn't willing to drag my family around all evening trying to find a new hotel so I excepted. In retrospect, it was a mistake. The cabin was old, had an odour and was run down. Not suitable at all. It took hours to warm up the place and the pull out was very dated. When I asked why I was not able to get the room I booked the front desk told me that Days Inn posts globally that they are pet friendly but that each hotel is different and blamed everything on a poor website. He told me I should call the hotel to confirm and not accept what I read online! What? We got up very early and left for the road I won't be staying there again.
My husband and I stayed here twice during our road trip to Nova Scotia in September. We were trying to find somewhere that was affordable and allowed dogs, and this place came up in our search. We were quite happy with the size and cleanliness of the room, and that we were able to park just outside the door. In fact, we had the exact same room both times we stayed here. The staff was friendly, the view of the St. Lawrence River was gorgeous, and it was easy to get to and from the highway.
What do you expect if you put 4 adults into a 2 queen bed room for a night when travelling? Yeah - that's right. It was OK, I mean OK. We were safe and it seemed clean. It was well priced. It was waaaaay too hot and we couldn't do anything about it. Decent range of basic food for breakfast
Slightly older building with a fantastic view from lrg balcony. A much appreciated trailer parking zone.Slight fee adjustment for the pets,as original pre-authorization did not include them. That's a mystery. Overall it was pleasant,
I would recommend this hotel - beautiful scenic location, close to shopping and restaurants with easy highway access. I selected the King room and was very pleased. The room was spacious, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were very helpful check in and check out was relatively quick and efficient. The hotel does offer a breakfast; however, it could use a refreshing.
I was driving from Nova Scotia to Ontario for business. I decided to stop at Days Inn, Riviere-du-Loup. The staff were very friendly. I usually feel a bit dumb in Quebec because I only know English, but they are very friendly, and speak in English. The room was good - comfortable bed, fast wifi, adjustable heat. I wish there was a tub to relax in though - just a shower available. The breakfast in the morning was good. I would recommend this place. And there is free parking.
