Kids water park was the best part of the hotel and both kids loved every minute of it. The pools are great, lot s of choices. Food is average, but the staff was the best.

We didn't have a nice staff at the front desk, Bryan was rude and didn't help us with courtesy also we had to wait at the end for 1 hour to get somebody to help us with the luggage, I called around 15 times to the reception and they only answered the phone once after that I wait 1 hour and after an hour I called the concierge phone # 28880 I believe and they came in 5 minutes I asked them and they said from the front desk didn't tell anything to them.

Everything was nice. The hotel is family friendly and eveeybody is nice. The food at rhe brazilian restaurant is super good.

good hotel about 1 1/2 hr from airport .. staff try their best to make you feel confortable. nice beach nice pool good drinks perfect... i left my camera in the pool and someone returned it to the front desk. the desk returned my camera..

Although not on the beach, it is very close (3 min shuttle). The pools, restaurants and other facilities are 5 star. This is a fantastic value.

Easy to get around. Room right next to pool and kid play pool. Frequent shuttled to the beach. Great food selection at buffet.

Room was old and outdated. Stains on sheets, walls, ceilings. Bed was extremely uncomfortable and hard. It had an old piece of foam on the top of it. I am not a large person and normally can sleep anywhere but I had difficulty sleeping each night and woke up with a sore back each morning. Noticed things all over the hotel that needed repair or updating. Not impressed with cleanliness and overall condition of the hotel. The beach was not the beautiful beach you'd expect to see. It was small, crowded and not picturesque. The beach is normally my favorite spot to hang out but my husband and I only spent an hour total at the beach. One major complaint is the amount of smokers. I cannot be around cigarette smoke and we had to walk through smoke to get into any building. No matter where we went (pool, lobbies, waiting for transportation, etc) we had to stand/sit in smoke. It would be nice to have designated smoking areas. Food was ok, my husband loved the sushi at the buffet. We were disappointed at the variety of snacks and room service items. Entertainment was better than expected, I would say it was above average. We have stayed at many places near Cancun and compared to the others this was just ok. We will not be returning.

My boyfriend and I spent 5 days at Coba right before Christmas. It was wonderful! The lobby was beautifully decorated with holiday cheer which I thought was really special. The staff at Coba is unparalleled. They are so kind and welcoming always ready to help you! Jose, the bartender at Hibyscus, is fantastic! The food was good too! Check out Mikado and le gourmet! The entertainment staff is also amazing. They seem to work long shifts but they had the best attitudes and are always cheerful and energetic.

Great staff, very clean, great time. First time and it exceeded our expectations. Will definitely be going back.

The price was excellent and the weather was great. It was a honeymoon trip for the wife and I. The hotel was great and the staff very helpful. We will definitely be coming back again.

We were taken to two different lobbies upon arrival, no one knew where we needed to check in. The next day we were lured into the public relations office to offer a membership, thought it was a great idea until we actually got to spend time at the resort. Stay away! The beach is very far from our side of the hotel coba and full of seaweed. We get to the pool and see topless women as we walk through the sand. No sign of children not being allowed there. Needless to say my children were stunned. Resort is huge but the great thing about it is they have golf carts and trains all throughout the resort that take you around different places, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes. Be ready to eat the same food through your stay, at first buffet is great but same food gets old and boring after three days. We got to go to three of their specialty restaurants-not impressed by either of them. Food was no good. Drivers and hotel staff were very nice and very friendly and helpful except the buffet staff...understaffed. Didn't care much for their entertainment. Asked twice to have a light in my room fixed and they never did. However, rooms were very nice and clean! This is a must for me. If you don't smoke or don't like to be around smokers this is not the place for you. I personally wouldn't go back.

Booked this to reign in my 50th based on our friends recommendation. The only bad thing I can say is that I wish it was closer to the airport but I guess you can't have it all. The resort was immaculate and the staff was incredible. The beds a really firm so I was concerned about that but they were surprisingly OK. They did a great job keeping the seaweed levels down and spraying for mosquitos. I think I only had to apply DEET once. I'm not a pool person but they keep it so lively with music and activities that it's not boring for me. The food and drinks were off the hook and we enjoyed the live shows every night especially the Michael Jackson show. We just got back home yesterday but are already planning our next visit.

Food was lower end buffet food at best. Could not get into any specialty restaurant during our stay, tried to book them the first day and all were booked for the 7 days except at 10pm the night before our 6am flight back. That wouldn't work. Room smelled very sour the whole time. They brought in a portable air conditioner but it didn't really do anything. Snack bar closed for October with no notice. My son was bit by an iguana at the restaurant and had to go to the hospital. My wife got food poisoning. Also, everything is very spread out. Lot's of walking. Beach is a 10 minute golf cart ride. Overall, not at all impressed for the money. Much better places down there.

Hotel complex was just to large for our liking. Hotel did everything great, including the food, we just prefer something smaller.

This is our second stay at a grand Bahia, first was at the punta Cana one and we were happy with it so we tried this one. What a big let down! First the food was horrible. Such a let down. So many options and hardly anything was good. We were a group of four and three out of four of us has stomach issues from the food, which ruined half of our trip. Also on the food topic, I was in the buffet at coba and saw a cockroach! I told an employee and he just stood there and got a maintenance guy. I waited around to see what he would do and he did NOTHING!!! He looked around to see if I was there and then just left! So grossed out at that point. There were barely any healthy options. All the pool snack bars just had the same thing every day, even the pizza was so gross. How can you mess up pizza? The beaches are so full of alge that you couldn't swim at all. I would pick a cancun beach. You also have to take the shuttle far to get to the beach. The staff at this resort was so hit or miss. We had two amazing staff members, andres and Omar at some of our meals and they were great. The bartender Rene at the coba pool was miserable and made you not even want to be there, like you were inconveniencing him. Then trying to book dinner, the barely had any options open and the guy told us if we slipped him some money he would try and get us another reservation?! It was so uncomfortable. I was so disappointed with this Bahia principe location.

Property was great, staff was excellent. Rooms (beds) left a little to be desired, rooms overall were good. Wish internet service was available throughout more places in the property. Great value for a last minute family get away...

Hotel was very excellent but they didn't have free Wi-Fi you should pay 50$for 6 days and hotel was about 1 hour drive until city taxi was expensive from hotel until city 100$and taxi from cancun airport to hotel 160$

The hotel met my expectation and is worth for the price. Food was great. Just couple suggestions: On the sea beach was no restaurant, snack bar was operated each other day. The hotel is having a lot of mosquito and we got a lot of bites. Overall our trip was OK.

We had a great time. The hotel in general was great.

Nice family trip, very good food, drinks. We had fabulous vacations. The little cars are fantastic and you can move from some area to other! I come back, thank you Gran Bahia Principe staff!
