I loved my stay at the Windsor California Copacabana. The location could not be any better, especially for my first time in Rio de Janeiro. It is directly across from the Copacabana beach strip. The staff went above and beyond to make me feel like a valued guest. There was always someone around to provide assistance. The room was modern and clean. The buffet breakfast had a lot of delicious options. I would gladly stay at the Windsor California on my next trip to Rio.

FIND SOMETHING BETTER! This place is horrible. The staff is terrible, the rooms are subpar, felt like a prisoner in this garbage hotel. The staff called me a liar after they had security chase me through the lobby, and it’s not that great of a place. They have horrible rules and live off of the only positive, which is you are close to the beach. You can find better with the same views. Do not stay here.

Original room was very disappointing and looked dark and grubby. It did not have the seaview, but faced the hotel next door, not per the Expedia photograph. The front desk staff explained that we had not paid for a seaview. Expedia misleading buyers again. They helped us move to another room that was more acceptable. The roof top heated infinity pool is a selling point as is the location to the beach. A short walk to get to the pedestian crossing but there are plenty of small restuarants across the road. The staff were very helpful and should all be commmended. Would recommend if you can book a seaview. Perhaps directly with the hotel.
