I liked the hotel in general. I didn’t like that I had booked a “cobertura” penthouse and they placed me in a room below it and when I asked them what was the reason, the answer was that they actually had upgraded me. So, I was moved on the second night to the penthouse. The terrace area didn’t have any furniture. I thought it was a kind of weird!

very quick check out for a Brazilian hotel. check-in staff speak English.

Safe location, good value for money. Would recommend to others going to Rio

Great hotel in a great location just 2 blocks from the beach in Leblon. I like the Leblon area of RIo because it is less congested, newer and is less "touristy". Great restaurants too in this upscale and affluent neighborhood, just one block north of the main street - the best most popular were one to two blocks west of the hotel. I had a junior suite with a microwave and mini fridge (and dishes and silverware) so being close to 2 grocery stores was a plus. Also, unusual for Rio, a 24 hour mini market right on the corner. The fitness center at this hotel is not really a fitness center, rather a multi machine with limited choices for sets of anything more than very basic.. Fortunately, there is a BodyTech gym less than a block away and was a good, well-equipped gym, but rather expensive, as gym proces go, for short term.

Nice hotel and excellent location. Front desk staff very helpfull. Nice breakfast. One block from the beach and half block from main avenue with restos and cafes. Clean. Very comfortable bed. If you have the chance to choose a room, choose a room located in upper floors, street could be little bit noise. Safe neighbourhood.

Our only problem was with communication with the staff, who spoke mostly Spanish, and a little English. Hotel was a bit pricey, but this happens during Carnival.

This hotel is in Leblon and two blocks from the beach. There are plenty of nice restaurants and shops very close to the hotel. I was especially impressed with all the staff. The front desk is very helpful and is usually staffed by at least one person who is bilingual (English). The cleaning staff did an excellent job in our room each day.

the location was superb. very safe neighborhood, close to beach, shopping, dining, nightlife. staff was very friendly and helpful. breakfast was great. elevator is tiny. having to pay for wi-fi was a definite negative. overall, would stay again.
