The hotel is 2-3 stars. The location is good, the lobby area is very nice, clean and well furnished. Rooms are quite small, but well equipped and the hotel is sufficient for a short stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful,and the breakfast is good. Copacabana is 2 minutes walk, and the rooftop pool is very nice.

The hotel has 4 starts but is a less that 3 stars. The rooms indicates it's a queen bed and their two small individual beds, I am a short person and I do not fit. The pillow covers are old and also the bed covers. It is not clean, starting with the bathroom, the shower doors base is not clean and the floor is not very clean. The amenities' quality is not very good. The bath towels are very thin and the one that you place on the floor has holes. The A/C makes a lot of noise and does not cool the rooms. The electrical connections do not have grounding so you will net an adapter. The "pool" is very small and you have to go up a lot of stairs after the elevators lasts floor. The curtains have a lot of dust and are dirty. The restaurant is small and has about 10 tables so it gets very crowded at breakfast, you have to win a table and then start looking for your plates. The fruit is served complete (for example the papaya has the seeds and peel). The rooms views are of the inside of buildings. In the reception they keep their word on some indications given on first day and one the second day at the after noon shift, at night it was a complete different thing. I hope it can get better.

I was here during the Olympics. The staff were very friendly. The room was adequate, but not the cleanest. The towels were very thin. The housekeeping was marginal. Would forget to come, forget to replace items. The location was super. A good value, all in all.

Recepcionistas desconhecem informações turísticas e sobre a cidade. Faltavam toalhas. Tentaram diversas vezes "empurrar" taxis e serviços "conveniados" com o hotel. Cama quebrada e velha, travesseiros ruins. Café da manha bem fraco pelo preço cobrado. Ar condicionado barulhento. Receptionists were unaware of touristic and local information. Missing towels. They tried several times to "recommend" taxi and touristic services of their friends. The bed was old and broken, pillows horrible. Breakfast poor for the price payed for the room. Air conditioning too noisy.

The location of the hotel is really good, two minutes away from the beach. The hotel is pretty cheap, so it`s normal to be nothing special. Our room was old, but clean. When you make an reservation make sure to choose a room with ocean view- ours room view was awful- looking at the building right in front of it.

We were there with my girlfriend and hotel is very nice, personal very friendly, food perfect, no problem with internet connection, nice and cool bar and swimming pool on the roof, nice view to Copacabana

The rooms smell horrible, the staff is unfriendly, the pool was disgusting, breakfast was incredible - diaria including; every hostel I have been on that continent offered a better breakfast. I wouldn't recommend this place to aaanyone!!!!!!! It's copacabanas dirtyest place! Check the pics!

My parents booked this hotel for my partner and I as a gift as it was his first time in Brazil. We usually travel more simply staying in pousadas or hostels but my parents wanted to give us a nice experience. Unfortunately it was not the case. In my booking it was written check in time was 14.00. We arrived at 15.30 and were told check in is actually at 15.00. But they were still cleaning up the rooms and we were asked to wait in the lobby for 20 min. We waited more than an hour after complaining and asked to speak to the manager. The manager was very arrogant, saying thst he was actually doing us a favour as he could see we were a couple and our booking was for a twin bed. Being very rude he said it is up to you you can wait and have the double bed or have the twin right now. As i havent booked it myself I couldnt argue, despite my reservation saying the opposite. The room and the hotel in general was very run down, air conditioning very noise. Plus you have to pay for wifi and the locker extra for the locker in the bedroom. One would expect for that price to have these for free. Be careful with the elevator it closes very quickly. There was a lady in the elevator with us that had to go for an elevator ride to pick up her bag because as she was getting into it the doors closed leaving her bag outside. And as i was getting out the elevstor the door shut on me! Staff are really nice and friendly but sometimes very unhelpful. We had much better value and service for our money staying in hostels. Do not stay here. It is a tourist trap. The only good thing was the location, steps from Copacabana Beach and blocks form the metro.

The first unpleasant situation was getting a cab from the airport. They charged a flat rate of 60 Real to get to the hotel. Our return trip to the airport by metered cab was 25 Real( Brazil currency). The experience just continued downhill from there. Arriving at the hotel there is a trampoline skateboard type ramp to get into the hotel. Let go of your luggage and it would roll down this ramp and into the center of the street. Just inside the door are large scatter rugs where your luggage wheels bunch up the dirty carpet until you can no longer pull it. Check in process very cold. We were told to sit and wait our turn. The hotel is so old and outdated it was questionable if we were even going to go to the room but since we had prepaid through the travel agent , and of course there were no refunds, we decided to stay. How bad could it be?? Far worse than expected. There are six rooms per floor and no lights in the hallway until a motion sensor comes on to light the way. Have to find your way in the dark to the antiquated elevator while inhaling a moldy type, nauseous smell. Our "standard" room was the size of my wife's shoe closet. All old and musty smelling. Bathroom caulking needed extensive repairs. Bedding recycled from the early 1900's and worn extremely thin. When you leave for the day you have to hand in your room key at the front desk, because there is always a guy standing behind the flower on the front desk leering at you. Very uncomfortable. Sign in elevator directs you to the top floor for a pool side bar. Elevator stops one floor short and you walk up one floor to the padlocked door. Besides being one block from the ocean there is absolutely nothing that would entice anyone to stay here. There are a number of hotels within a few blocks of this disgusting hotel that have comparable rates and considerably better amenities. Travel agents obviously get paid commission for selling rooms on behalf of hotels, so they book you into worst one where they get the highest pay back. Stay away from this garbage dump !!!

The worst experience ever. It has never happened to me before to stay in such a bad hotel. The most arrogant hotel manager imaginable. Refused to speak english when I complained to him. And in the end they charged me 950 Reals (over 300 USD) for forgetting the key in my room. This was just outrages. Not to mention that my girl friend and I remember giving the key to the guy at the reception. Yet the key was found in the room and I was not allowed to go to my room till the morning until hotel manager came to work. The worst hotel ever.
