Perfect location next to the beach. Very helpful staff on the reception and made sure everything was ok. Unhelpful staff by the restaurant and pool and it was difficult to get a drink when required ... but it seems like the restaurant, pool and bar aren't anything to do with the actual hotel ... not very clear or obvious what was going on.

Aparthotel, no hotel...totally chaotic and no help

Very nice condo, not a real hotel but more an apart hotel.first night was terrible,no sheets,no pillows no help, second day they upgraded us to a bigger apartment which was nice and had ocean views. Very best location on avenida sernambetiba. The problem is there is no assured parking , and the rental company has no representative whatsoever in this residential complex.the doormen had to do all the checkin and dont even get paid for it. A total chaos. Internet was not working on the firstday,then perfectly.pool closes at 7 pm ....

Hotel Review

The hotel is a residence hotel. The restaurant on site is excellent and not expensive. There is a gym and a wonderful swimming pool, as well as ample secured parking. The staff is very helpful, however they do require a little patience to work through daily problems. Each room has a full kitchen, clothes washer, nice bedroom, and full bathroom. This represents are bargain for a fantastic stay in Rio.

This is more like an apt hotel than an actual hotel. The room was clean but a bit old. It is just in front of the Barra beach but pretty far from Rio's center. It offers a nice swimming pool.

You will not be satisfied.

This place was my first and worst and only bad experience in Brazil. Look, I'm not here to complain, I only want to share the honest truth. We arrived at 1am, the security guard would not open the gate for our cab. We were left stranded outside the gate with luggage. I had to yell and scream until someone pulled up in a car with a remote gate opener. We followed him in and then the security guy finally ran out of his office screaming at us (which was right next to the gate!!). The front desk was not manned. The person in charge had to wake up and come down to the lobby. He had no shirt on. His manager pulled up in a car (did not get out) and explained that I cancelled my reservation.. I did not. They finally gave me a room at 145am. We received a call at 2 am asking us to come pay for the room. The room was one of the worse hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. It was comparable to a 1980s motel room. We left the next day. I enjoyed Rio as soon as we left this hotel. The place is an over priced dump with poor management. Please don't stay here.

Good value

Well located if you want to be close to the beach. However, it is far from all other tourist attractions. Most of the hotels in the Barra de Tijuca Area seem to be over priced. This one is more or less reasonably priced. You will have fun trying to understand Portuguese. The staff speak very little English, but that did not turn to be a problem at all.

Decepcionante

Estou insatisfeito com o apartamento disponivel para mim ( 120A) . Portas agarrando, fechaduras emperradas, barulho insuportável da geladeira e não podia fechar a porta da cozinha senão travava; ar condicionado do quarto só ficava na temperatura minima e sem regulagem; não tinha como ligar a telavisão( sem controle). Unica coisa boa era a ducha do banho; as cortinas do quarto não tinham comprimento para vedar a janela, assim a claridade começava as 5:00 hs. Paguei um preço alto pelas diárias e recebi este imóvel nestas condições. Gostaria de um retorno sobre isto, pois não está certo pagar por uma coisa e receber outra. Reclamei na recepção e não teve ninguém para resolver os problemas. daí me jogaram "goela abaixo" este péssimo apartamento

Ótima localização e estrutura, falta capricho.

O local é excelente, mas os quartos estão muito descuidados, sem manutenção, paredes descascando, tomadas sem proteção, mofo aparente, cortinas estragadas, etc. Bastava um cuidado melhor para o lugar ficar ótimo. Realmente me pareceu um local desleixado. Há uma varanda excelente e nem uma cadeira para se sentar, por exemplo.
