The hotel room was great. The reception staff was also very helpful & shockingly, she spoke perfect English. The rest of the country either refuses to speak English or cant. Whilst the hotel service was great, the neighbourhood is extremely sketchy. I didnt feel safe and would not venture out alone in broad daylight beyond the front porch of the hotel. The only reason to book this hotel is its close proximity to the Sambadrome.

Great Value with Exceptional Hospitality

This hotel is a great value for the price! The accommodations are comfortable, and they offer a decent breakfast to start the day. However, what truly sets this place apart is the outstanding staff. Everyone is incredibly friendly, helpful, and goes out of their way to make sure guests have the best experience possible. I stayed during Carnaval, and the hotel added such a fun and festive touch to the experience. They had adorable decorations, plus glitter and little trinkets for guests to use, which made the celebration even more special. If you're looking for a budget-friendly stay with exceptional hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere, this hotel is a fantastic choice. I would definitely stay here again!

Black mold!

We booked last minute and this was affordable and in the city from the description. My allergies flared up with the big black mold patch in the washroom. We checked out 3 days early. Customer service was great. Breakfast had not many options. The area is not the best but close to the steps and some markets!

The street leaving to the hotel looks and smells terrible, the rooms are not soundproofed, there was hair in the shower, the ac units are very loud, the customer service is terrible, the blankets were either torn or missing. Avoid unless you're desperate.

Located in Lapa, many restaurants, shops and super market within walking distance. The property was clean and the room was spacious. I stayed on the 12th I didn’t hear any noise or had any problems with my room. I usually stay in the Copa cabana beach area but the prices were expensive, so I researched the Lapa area and I was nervous after reading reviews about the homeless people and safety in the area. This hotel had a great rate per night so i decided to book the room. Uber is very affordable and safe in Rio De Janiero so getting around is very easy. On the second day I walked to the supermarket and eat at a few of the local restaurants and i felt safe during the day walking alone. Ruan at the front desk and the lady that worked with him they both displayed excellent service and offered assistance to help with anything that I needed during my stay. Arian spoke very good English. I would stay there again and I would recommend this property if you’re staying in the Lapa neighborhood. Thanks for everything!

Fiquei insatisfeito com a hotel por algumas coisas: o quarto não tinha cobertor, e cheguei a pedir um na recepção e não recebi. A tampa do vaso sanitário estava solta e no banheiro não tinha toalha de rosto. No dia de check-out, aconteceu algo inacreditável: uma camareira bateu na porta do meu quarto às 9h, perguntando se eu tinha interesse em "exercer a opção de fazer o check-out naquele horário", e eu estava dormindo. Em momento algum ela disse que o hotel daria desconto na diária caso eu optasse por sair mais cedo, ou seja, foi apenas um procedimento que obriga as camareiras a tentar fazer com que os clientes saiam mais cedo para que o hotel ganhe $$$ cobrando meia diária para os clientes que desejam entrar mais cedo. Definitivamente, foi uma péssima experiência.

Ficamos hospedados no quarto 301 e, logo ao entrar, percebemos um forte cheiro de mofo. O quarto apresentava sinais evidentes de falta de manutenção, com paredes sujas e aspecto geral de desgaste. O ar-condicionado funcionava de forma precária, sem permitir a regulagem adequada da ventilação e um enorme barulho. No banheiro, a porta do box não fechava completamente, e a água pingava para fora bo box alagando do o banheiro. Deixando o tapete completamente enxarcado. Entendemos perfeitamente que a proposta do hotel é oferecer uma hospedagem econômica e sem luxos. No entanto, simplicidade não deve ser confundida com falta de conservação, limpeza e manutenção. Um hotel pode ser simples e, ainda assim, proporcionar conforto, higiene e uma boa experiência aos hóspedes. O café da manhã apresentou variedade compatível com a categoria do hotel, porém a qualidade dos produtos deixou a desejar. As frutas aparentavam estar próximas do vencimento, com odor desagradável, e alguns itens, como bolos e pão de queijo, estavam excessivamente assados. Não adianta oferecer quantidade quando a qualidade não acompanha, pois isso acaba gerando desperdício e insatisfação dos hóspedes. Infelizmente, desta vez nossa experiência no Days Inn Lapa Rio de Janeiro foi bastante abaixo das expectativas. Esperamos que a administração invista na manutenção e na melhoria dos serviços, pois a localização do hotel continua sendo um dos seus grandes pontos positivos.
