We took our family to this hotel. Very beautiful. Old school. The hotel and all its facilities are perfect for a beach family holiday. Fabulous breakfast where it can last a couple of hours just relaxing on the fabulous atmosphere where people are beautifully dressed and the sun is shining. The grand dinners on the terrace are really like being at a wedding. All dressed up in their best designer outfits - and the singer singing are as much a site to be seen. How special and magical is this place. The feeling to be here is priceless. Love it.
We love faded glamour, strolling through grand spaces that have clearly seen their best days some time ago. This hotel probably enjoyed that 50 years ago and really could do with a little more money being spent. Just remove the beige curtains would be a start and put warmer bulbs into the chandeliers (you could straighten them, too). Rimini is old school and there remains a long trousers and shoes rule for men at dinner. Some diners are suit and tie with all the women looking rather glamorous, for Rimini… Service is OK, mostly friendly and efficient. Food is good, though again old-school. The dessert buffet was actually excellent. The hotel beach is huge with acres of space between sun loungers. Just watch out if you want to sit with friends. The beach captain has his list and no one sits together unless his map shows that. Which is inconvenient for friends that have travelled around the world to spend a week together at the hotel. Despite the acres of space, he was having none of it. Unhelpful. The area is old fashioned, it has some cheap local options and the adverts blaring out across the beach from speakers next door don't really help. It would also be in everyone's interest if the beach staff actually offered drinks to their guests; money for the hotel and pleasure for their guests. That doesn't appear to happen either. Overall, if you want to enjoy a more formal few days in a clean, cared-for but outdated property and don't mind that occasional lapse of service, this is a great place to see how it used to be.
Had amazing 4 day break. Everything was wonderful food service cleanliness helpfulness. Can t wait to visit again. If you want a hotel with real old fashioned standards The Grand Hotel is for you. Everyone from The Manager to the beach staff are there to make your stay perfect. Well done.
Was there as a stop during a business trip. I just had a long transoceanic flight, and a couple of hours of train. So probably not in the best shape. When I arrived at the hotel, there was some kind of rotary club event, with people extremely well dressed. Ferrari were parked outside. So , when I asked the reception for a restaurant to have dinner, I was suggested a cheap restaurant, and I was mildly offended Apart from that the hotel is very nice, old fashion, with a great view on the sea
Stayed in this hotel during a board meeting. It's filled with history and the environment is amazing. The room I was given was however a miniature single room. Do make sure that you get a room towards the garden and ensure that it is spatious. I would assume that rooms are very different in layout at this hotel. The food in the hotel is amazing, the staff is super-professional and I am left only with good memories.
Finally the REAL Grand Hotel! Absolutely outstanding premises globally! They can compete with any location in the planet. Great service in any field. Great beach & personnel working there. Nice SPA - ok for relaxing. Great restaurants (both in the beach and in the main building) - wide selection of food with excellent freshness and quality. Renovated apartments / rooms are very stylish and with all what is needed to relax. You can feel the history walking by every area of this hotel! You cannot be wrong here if you are for business, with your family or for a romantic rendez-vous. They like to pamper you so much here that you even forget to be in a hotel! One more thing to mention: This year the sea was EXCELLENT. Even Fishes were swimming in the water! Great job, indeed, Grand Hotel! We'll be back soon to visit you!
No wonder why Fellini was so obsessed with this hotel. It's pure perfection in the middle of paradise. Amazing breakfast, service everything. The only thing that bothered me was that beach wasn't included in the reservation and I found out right there on the spot ready to get my front row sun bed. Made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
When You enter the hotel you will immediately feel different. This place gives a hint of the good old times of the last century: roaring twenties, the fifties and so ob. Grand, luxurios and with perfect services. The rooms are all furnished with antiques. And so is the whole place. Tapestry, tables, statues display far more than just the last century. Don't just walk by! Have a closer look. Altogether my stay was a great experience I don't want to miss.
The grand hotel offers 5* deluxe service The Lobby is magnificent, marble pillars and floors with double height ceilings and as grand as grand comes The next we visited is the bar where the staff make the most fantastic gin and tonics The bed rooms are really exquisite The best is last to mention, the food. Te chefs cook up the most amazing treats
