We are staying here at the moment. The hotel is beautiful. The entertainment staff are very friendly and work very hard. However it is 29 degrees today. It says air conditioning in rooms and yet this is not the case. The air conditioning gets turned on on the 1st of June. It is so hot at night in the rooms we cannot sleep. The bathroom extractor fans are not functioning in the bathrooms, as per our friends room, our room and other guests. The food in main restaurant is just about ok. Would not recommend the BBQ or a la Carte meal. On saying that we have been out of the hotel a few times to eat which has been great
We traveled as a couple and stayed at the Rodos Princess Beach Hotel for a week on the 4th of May, just got back yesterday in the night and we miss it already. Rhodes is a gorgeous island with stunning views and amazing beaches. First impressions of the hotel were really good, we couldn’t believe our luck for the price we paid (holiday package with TUI). The price was probably lower because it was the start of the season and we’ve been told that they opened 10 days before we arrived. The weather was ok, not the best at this time of the year but we kind of knew it and still managed to get a few hot and sunny days. The resort is huge. It has 4 pools, including a main one with the pool bar and one for kids with slides. The water in any of the pools is ICE COLD and I was ready to knock 1 star down just for that reason. It was like getting in an ice bucket and wasn’t very pleasant. I remember that when we looked before booking our holiday, pretty much none of the resorts had heated pools on the island so it must not be a thing but it’s such a shame because it does spoil it a little bit. It’s probably because they’ve filled them recently and it might get warmer later on this summer. Not a lot of people were really enjoying it for that reason. I thought the sea was actually warmer than the pools. There’s also plenty of stuff to do in the resort like water sports (on the private beach), mini golf, tennis, volleyball, ping pong, table football and even some arcade games. There’s good entertainment for the kids and shows every night until 10. The animation team tries to get everyone involved, some were a little pushy some just made sure we had a good time which was nice. The resort also has 3 restaurants including a main one with buffet, one BBQ restaurant on the beach and a snack bar serving food all day. You can get some ice cream, pizza, chips, cake, crepes, coffee and waffles all day. There’s also more food choice at the snack bar like kebab, moussaka from 12. We thought the food at the main restaurant was great! Plenty of choice, good quality and variety of food. They also do theme nights, we had Italian and Greek nights. The private beach is amazing. I actually regret not having spent much more time there. There’s another bar with all inclusive drinks and food. No cocktails but beer, wine, etc. It’s just so nice to be on the beach and have everything you need near you. The rooms are really nice and clean with all inclusive mini bar refilled every 2 days (we didn’t know that before we booked so it was a really nice thing to get). We had a standard room with sea view and oh my god, that view. Waking up to that view every morning was amazing and probably the best one we’ve ever had in a resort. I really encourage you to get the sea view, it’s worth every penny. The staff is probably one of the best and is the reason I haven’t knocked the star down because of the ice cold pools. They do a truly remarkable job from the reception staff, cleaners, restaurant manager, spa team to waiters. They are professional, well trained, very nice and happy to assist you with any requests you might have. They work around the clock to make sure everything is perfect, especially in the main restaurant. I’ve worked in restaurants for years myself so I know how hard it can be. It really felt like a 4 stars restaurant and even if it was just a buffet, they come to your table asking if you want some drinks, take plates off as soon as you finish. When the main restaurant opens all the waiters and staff welcomes you in line and to be fair it got me a little emotional on our last night, I thought it was a really nice touch and it’s the first time we’ve had that in a resort. To me that service reflects on the overall rating of this resort on TripAdvisor and the score speaks for itself. They are just amazing. With your booking your are entitled to a free 15 mins massage which was really nice welcome gift. We took a 15 mins tailored couple massage and paid for 25 mins so had a 45 mins massage in total. Prices were more than affordable and we were offered a 50 mins Cretan massage at a discounted price (only for that day) so we booked another one. Once again I need to give special credit to the staff at the spa which was amazing, really helpful and made sure we were happy with the treatment we’ve received. We both loved the massages which were much better quality than some we’ve tried back home. There’s plenty of things to do outside of the resort as well. The area is good, Lindos is gorgeous and we’ve hired a car so we could travel on the island. We did a Jet Ski excursion, horse riding on the beach near Rhodes, a glass bottom boat excursion and also went to visit Prasonisi beach which we loved. There’s one negative thing which we’ve unfortunately had to experience on this holiday though, it’s the fly back home from Rhodes Airport. The airport is a big mess. It’s visibly been under construction for some time so it’s apparently messing everything up. The arrivals were fine but departures is another world. We got to the airport 3 hours and a half before our flight departure and nearly missed our flight because of the queues! TUI staff is not really helpful (and we’ve traveled with them last year so were really surprised). There’s one big queue for everything (why?). It’s not well organised, there’s apparently not enough staff, it’s stressful and airport staff is rude. The worst I’ve experienced in my life. It’s got nothing to do with this resort but thought I’d mention it for the other travellers as we didn’t know it was that bad. That said we still had a wonderful time and my only regret is to not have booked more time at this resort. We loved every second of it and would happily go back. We’ve stayed at many resorts over the last few years and we’ve agreed that this is the best resort (in equal position with Suite Hotel Atlantis Fuerteventura Resort in Fuerteventura). Thank you to everyone at Rodos Princess Beach Hotel for the amazing holiday.
Room really nice, clean and spacious. Hotel itself really nice but on three levels so lots of steps. Lovely sea views. We came at the start of the season so windy but still pleasant . Ate in the restaurant on the second day, very little choice and very bland. I had serious D&V spent two days in bed so refused to eat in there again. Only other choice was pizza and chips for 7 days so not good. Entertainment not good but staff lovely. Kids club till around 9 then little else. I wouldnt come back.
Just got back from a 10 day break and it was possibly one of the best family holidays I've been on. The hotel is superb from start to finish. Staff are an absolute credit. Weather it be the lovely friendly staff in the restaurants or the animation team. There's nothing too much trouble for them. Jack, seba and Manu around the pool joking around and doing there very best to get everyone to have the best time while visiting. I'm not one for sunbathing so I loved the full experience and would recommend couple, families or just friends to all visit this place.
I like it very much, They have a lot of services, very good food and the rooms are very comfortable, very clean, much animation, we have a direct way to the beach, with bar, animations for children, I recommend it
We stayed here twice this year. It was that good in May we decided to come back for our anniversary in August. Animation team fantastic. Entertainment team fantastic. Kids thoroughly enjoyed 7 & 4 which helped us relax. Our son is allergic to peanuts so we were worried. Main food labelled but kids foods and deserts not but we managed. Pool great. Bedrooms had a lovely sea views. Excellent day would highly recommend.
Good - location is quiet & beautiful. Kids club is only available at certain times but seemed to offer good activities. Entertainment was very basic but the animation team were always friendly & chatting to the children. Crepes & waffles all day - yummy. Pools lovely! Bad - insects in drinks machines & staff dismissing any concerns about it? Good choice for kids wasn’t ideal, lots of lovely options but kids just wanted basic pasta, pizza etc which they could get at pool bar but not restaurant! Mini golf - needs some work! Overall not bad for price week paid (around £700pp for 1 week AI) but certainly wouldn’t like to pay anymore!
My self , husband & 4 children aged 12,11,9 and 1 stayed here for 2 weeks in September through to early October! We traveled with friends and family for our wedding here & we literally had the best time ever ! Nothing was too much trouble & everyone from the reception staff to the cleaners , waiters , bar staff ,lifeguards & reps were really friendly and catered for our every need ! The hotel manager could be found everyday talking to his guests and went out his way to make us feel welcome . Our wedding day was perfect & I would highly recommend this hotel to cater for your perfect day . You will not be disappointed ! Thank you so much Rodos Princess!!
Stayed here for a week in the October half term and I was really impressed with the cleanliness, quality of food, the private beach with the all inclusive bar cafe on it - every morning at ten the entertainment crew are out organising darts, water polo, football tournaments - all sorts. Our room was a double w sea view and and the balcony and view was stunning. Only drawback was the hotel owners wedding fireworks which sounded like people unloading shotguns right outside the room and a weird couple arguing next door - not the hotels fault! I have to say my gf was not as impressed with the food as I was but I thought it was lovely, huge variety and great quality. This is a clean and well run establishment- fully recommend it.
We booked this hotel as a package through TUI. This was our first family holiday abroad(kids aged 10,12,14). Right from the start (we arrived just after 11pm) we were given a a warm welcome very efficient reception staff, gave us our bands, we were given beach towel vouchers, spa voucher and our bands they then took our cases to deliver to our rooms then we were able to grab some food. First impressions from the kids were "wow"! The whole place is kept in pristine condition. The grounds were exceptionally clean and well tended. The rooms (we had 2 adjacent ones) they were very clean and looked exactly like you see in the photos. Plenty of storage, big bathroom, mini bar fridge all lovely and clean. Our balcony overlooked the sea...what a view! We were in the main body of the hotel. The pools are fantastic, a few to choose from but we stayed around the main one. It was cold but once in you were fine. The food was fantastic for such a big hotel to produce the amounts that they do the staff must work incredibly hard and efficiently. The selection is wide although not 100% our taste you are in Greece not the Uk. There was a huge selection, different outlets.....Gyros,Pizza,Crepes,salad,roasts, plus a huge amount of other foods. The dining room staff were exceptional for how busy the main restaurant is they are incredibly hard workers. My kids loved the crepes and the poor crepe lady was kept inundated with orders so well done to her! The beach is a short walk down some stone steps at the back of the huge hotel. Plenty of beds, there is a bar and food cafe down there too which is all part of all-inclusive. Beautiful clean beach yes it's shingle so I would recommend some aqua shoes. Water-sports available too, my kids choose the inflatable sofa. Top tip would be to get a well fitting snorkle as the sea is clear and there are plenty of fish to see! The bars we use d the main bar which is opposite the restaurant drinks were fine...My husband loved his Pina Colada ! We also used the bar by the pool which seemed livelier! Entertainment wise I perhaps have saved the best till last here. This was what made a big difference to the holiday The Entertainment team...Darts, Archery, Volleyball, football, water polo, water aerobics, all delivered by the most amazing team of young guys and girls ...They also delivered performances in the Theatre each night show's such as Greece, and a comedy show too. The hotel has it's own outside theatre which can be seen from some of the hotel rooms. We visited in October.......If you are planning to visit you will not be disappointed! Fantastic first overseas experience for my children...Thank you Rodos princess !
