We stayed here for a week in May 2019! A bit of a shakey start as upon arriving at reception we got given a room tax €4 per night, which we were not previously notified of. We got told our room number but not where it was and we had to lug our suitcases up and down steps around the hotel, when we asked a member of staff where our hotel room was, he said "I don't know." Although we got off to a shakey start the rest of the holiday was fantastic! The hotel was beautiful, our room was great, we had beer, water and fizzy drinks in the fridge which was restocked every other day. The pool bar was great and lots of drinks and cocktails to choose from! The evening bar staff were brilliant, really friendly. However the reception bar was very busy and we often got ignored. The food was great, lots of selection, you often had to que up for the evening meal, although if you wanted to sit outside you could go straight through, we personally preferred sitting outside. The waiter were great and brought us over wine and water straight away. We went to the Italian restaurant, which wasn't great. Our reservation time was 9 o clock, our drinks came after our meal and not a lot was explained. The spa was amazing! The spa staff were really helpful. We got a free 15 minute massage which we used as a discount on a couple massage. It was a little pricey but worth it. The spa had a swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The animation team were the highlight for me! They were really friendly, always said hello and came around the pool asking if we wanted to do activities! We did yoga, zumba, pilates, archery, rifle shooting and darts and they made it really fun. Civvi, mateo and Martina were particularly brilliant and were really friendly and made and effort to remember our names.The evening shows were fantastic! Really funny and well put together! The animation team worked all through the day, did the shows at night and found time to practise the shows that were really professional! I would highly recommend lindos and Rhodes Town but would get the bus, I wouldn't bother with the excursions. We were disappointed with Rhodes Airport, really badly organised. A few hiccups but overall a brilliant holiday!
Me & my partner just came back from staying here for a week & was really let down, we had such high hopes for this hotel due to reading past reviews on TripAdvisor. The hotel looks the part. It's very modern, clean & looks 5* but that's probably were it ends as there were many issues we had during our stay. We had lots of issues in the buffet restaurant. Firstly, it's not big enough, I have been to many all inclusive hotels but this is the 1st time I've had to queue up for 15/20 minutes to get a table. We found ourselves going to dinner at 6.30pm every evening just so we didn't have to wait around as the restaurant is too small. The quality of food was also quite poor, some evenings we really struggled to find anything to eat & we are not fussy eaters, the only things we enjoyed were the desserts. We went to the Italian restaurant & the food was ok, nothing special but I strongly recommend you stay away from the Burger restaurant. The burgers we were served were completely RAW in the middle! and when I brought this to there attention they put our burgers back on the grill & over cooked them until they were uneatable. We tried the A la Carte restaurant & the food was pretty good but you had to pay for drinks which you would not expect to do at an all inclusive resort. We found the bars very frustrating, there's not enough of them so you have to queue for quite a while before you get served & when you do the drinks are really small & of a poor standard, (the cocktails tasted very artificial). The coffee's were served in tiny cups & when asked if we could have it put in a bigger cup was told we'd have to pay. This hotel made us feel like we weren't All inclusive. There was no atmosphere in the evenings as the main bar is right next to reception in the lobby & it just felt like everyone was standing around not knowing what to so with them selves. They should definitely invest in a proper Lounge/Bar area. Our room was actually pretty good. Nice & clean with a good view but could benefit from a bit of sound proofing though as we could hear every footstep outside our door. We spoke to another couple who were also unhappy during there stay. They said that they had been to the hotel previously in 2016 & the standard is now completely different. I have also noticed quite a few bad reviews coming in on TripAdvisor now so maybe the hotel is under new management this year? I would not recommend this hotel & definitely would've give it 5*
I booked this holiday for the first week in May for my boyfriends 25th. I chose to book Princess Andriana due to the great reviews on Tripadvisor and I wanted to book a 5* hotel. (I was a bit cautious of the negative reviews but overall reviews were good so I booked) Now I can confirm, this is not a 5* hotel experience maybe 4* at a push. If you are a foodie, don’t book this hotel. Overall interior of the hotel is pretty, pool area, rooms are nice. However from your room you can hear every footstep, baby cry, conversation happening in the corridor. Being awoken every morning to crying babies, room cleaners was just extremely annoying. As they clean the rooms around 8am expect to be awoken by noise from 8am LATEST! All inclusive food - disgusting is the one word I have, if you like cold, tasteless reheated food then you can defo find that here. Myself and my boyfriend fell ill from the food. We were really disappointed with the quality of the food. We did go to the Moonlight restaurant (we had beef steak) which was the nicest thing we ate in the hotel, however the portion was tiny and it comes with One baby potato lol. The burger restaurant wasn’t great either as we were eating my boyfriend went to the toilet to be sick - gives you an idea of what it was like, we decided not to go to the Italian restaurant as we didn’t see the point in upsetting our stomachs or feeding ourself food that wasn’t nice. The buffet food was the worst. However I must the the desert was nice. Also the dress code rules apply to who they want the rules to apply to. I was told on the 4th day I couldn’t enter the dinner buffet as I had Calvin Klein sliders on (even though I had worn them every day to dinner) but then she lets a group of elderly ladies in who were wearing fit flops when the sign says no fit flops - I pulled her up on this and she apologised although it was VERY obvious she was picking and choosing who the “dress code” applies to. Alcohol part of all inclusive is good - loads to choose from, they certainly try to get you drunk with the lack of mixer they put in your cups! During our stay we went to the spa which was lovely although it was pretty pricey compared to what I’m used to €160 for a couples 50 min full body massage. Staff were great in the spa and at the reception and bar! The area as a whole is beautiful although I wouldn’t recommend this area for young people or adventurous couples, it’s boring - great quad biking experience 5 minutes down the road but this is not a service provided by the hotel. I would not return to this hotel. I felt it was very expensive for the quality provided.
My girlfriend and I have just come back from a week here. This hotel is so lovely. It is modern, clean, and there is a good variety of food served at the buffet restaurant. We had a double room with sea view. The room was really clean and modern and the cleaners always did a great job. We also made use of the Gym and Spa, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff are so helpful and polite.We are already looking to book again next year.
We had a fabulous time at this hotel and would definitely come back but there are a couple of things that I feel need addressing, firstly why can some people reserve a table at meal times and everyone else as to queue? Also the small waiter in the restaurant is very abrupt and rude with both staff and residents. The staff everywhere else are great and I have to give a special mention to Georgia in the royal bar and Natasha on reception, both very friendly and approachable. Like the previous reviewer I feel the hotel lacks a proper bar with indoor seating and some seats that take into account people with disabilities as most seating is way to low and the only other option are tall chairs which again are no good for disabled people
Positives, lovely food, room excellent, staff very good, drink selection good, negatives queue every night for dinner, not enough staff in restaurant, it needs another bar inside the lobby bar not enough seats inside for chilly nights, the spa is very expensive, pools the water is ice cold, lovely and warm in the spa pool though, entertainment is non existent in the lobby bar. Having said all that it is a lovely hotel and we would not rule out coming again.
This is a lovely hotel that lets itself down in some areas. First of all I have to say our room was lovely ,we were upgraded to a luxury room overlooking the pool and fountains. very nice with a fridge filled with beers and soft drinks. Bathroom had plenty of toiletries and the towels were replaced daily if required. There were plenty of beds around the pool and the girl serving behind the pool bar was great. The main restuarant although set out nicely just wasn,t big enough. The queue every evening to get in was ridiculous. I understand that the evenings were cool because of the time of the year that we went and so people didn,t want to sit outside but that didn,t help when you were waiting for twenty minutes to be seated. The food was ok but nothing special. The only speciality restuarant worth going to was the moonlight bar, where you had to pay for your drinks. Again the problem we had in the evening was the lack of seating. The hotel could certainly benefit from an indoor lounge area . I realise it,s probably ok in the height of summer where all the outdoor spaces are utilised but I think the hotel should cater for all seasons. Personally I don,t think it,s a five star hotel for that reason.
We stayed her in May for my Honeymoon, We had the Honeymoon room with the swim up pool. The room was to a high standard and the pool was great but as we were all inclusive it is kind of a waste as there is no bar that is close to the rooms (Block 8 through the underpass to the beach) . Having no bar close made us abandon our room for most of the stay and head to the main pool or beach where there is a bar close by. I called the hotel before I arrived and told them it wand we were greeted by a cake and a bottle of sparkling wine in our room. As we arrived late at night 23:55, the snack bars were closed and we had a small sandwich in our fridge but there was no other food available. We ventured out the hotel due to this and the guy running the sports bar over the street cooked us a pizza (I think this was out of his own food as we didnt see any other people eat there at any other time haha) We had a fault with our Air con and made a couple of calls about this and although it seemed like we were palmed off by the receptionist the maintenance man came and fixed the air con later that day. The car rental attached to the hotel was quick and easy and cost us 90 euros for the day rental of a Beetle convertible. This doesnt sound like a good deal at first but it cost us 60 euros in a taxi to visit Lindos (Great day out) for the day so for 90 we visited Rodos (Another really good trip) at the far end of the island and then made a few stops on our return. This made it well worth the Money. Now for the downsides. The entertainment at the hotel was absolutely shocking. You can hardly say there was any. Its early May and the night time temp isnt the warmest so why have no indoor entertainment?? We had a guy with a saxophone and a poor karaoke singer on when we were there, Other nights we went out of the hotel as it was so dull in the evening. Can I just say..stop treating the fountain show as entertainment. It is nice to look at but it is not a show you will go see more than once. Also.....WHY SO FEW BARS!!! I cannot get over this, its all inclusive, you have 4 bars available through the day then the beach bar closes at 18:00 so does the snack-bars bar. This leaves the pool bar open until 12 which is outside in the cold and then the lobby bar which is small and understaffed. You have the convention rooms downstairs that has a bar built there that just needs to be stocked and seats added to the space to sit. Having all the hotel guests cram into the lobby to sit of an evening is ridiculous, we were standing waiting for seats most nights and the times that we got a seat others were doing the same. It feels like you are in the airport rather than your hotel. It really is poorly thought out and this needs to change for this to be truly a 5* We went to the amphitheater one of the nights but again the cold forced us back to the inside of the hotel. The show that was on at the time was kids singing and an overly outgoing guy trying to Shepard us into a team...We wouldn't have stuck that out even if it was warm in truth. The food at the hotel: The buffet restaurant was fine and you could find many things to eat, we liked the food most nights but some were better than others. We only stayed for 4 nights and were told that our complimentary meal in the Moonlight VIP restaurant would be a cost of 30 euros each...and then drinks on top of this. We decided against this, Im not going all inclusive to pay for lunch made by the same chefs. It should be part of the inclusive range in truth. We did however at one point go to the moonlight bar for a drink as the tiny bar downstairs was full. Somehow the imported/branded spirits seemed stronger...read into that what you will. The barman in this bar (A young guy) was very personable and made great cocktails. There were other members of staff that went above and beyond, the lifeguard at the main pool was very helpful, he set us up with beds and a parasol when there were none left. Genuinely nice guy too. The cleaners did a great job also. As we had the private pools we had them cleaned and the guy doing this wasnt the most polite, No explanation of what he needed to do just grunts and pointing. I also returned to my pool one day to see a random Maintenance guy on my wall between the pool...no acknowledgement on what he wanted just went about what he was doing and eventually left. Awkward when you come back for a nap to say the least. It may seem like I didn't enjoy may stay from this review but that isn't the case I did enjoy my stay I just think that the hotel needs to improve on the things mentioned (Mainly bar space and evening seating indoors) for this to get a 5* review. Also Id like to mention the manager walked past us on our way to the airport and said goodbye and thanked us for our stay which is nothing really but it is a nice touch. If I was to stay here again it would only be if entertainment was improved and I would not recommend that people stay in a swim up room as you wont make the most of all inclusive (The mini bar has 2 beers in stocked every two days). We only stayed in this due to being the honeymoon.
The hotel is amazing. Clean food is amazing .you can have 3 meals in different restaurant. Al a cart is amazing burger bar was lovely .yet to try the Italian. But you can see why this hotel is a 5 star .our last night we will be paying to go al a cart again .will be coming back to this hotel
This was our first visit to Rhodes. We chose the Princess Andriana based on reports we had read, we were not disappointed.The coach transfer is 1hour 45mins, we decided to factor that in to our mind set so not to feel frustrated. We were impressed with the stunning reception and speed of check in. It was gone 11pm the restaurant had a hot meal or sandwiches in our room. The fridge is stocked with free drinks.The room was excellent, very clean, towels changed when needed. Sheets changes a couple of times during the week. Slippers, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion,shower cap, soap. You can cut down on carrying things unnecessarily, there’s a supermarket for extras. Food Is high standard with a good variety. Food bars serve during the day, you need never feel hungry. The hotel supplies beach towels. I’ll mention some of the outstanding staff we came into contact with. Reception, Alexandra, Cleopatra, Sophia and Sara worked as a really good team. In the main restaurant, Michael the manager gave 100% to each guest making sure they felt valued. Maria welcomed each guest with a smile.The main bar,Georgia and her colleagues stayed calm no matter how busy the were. The animation team worked hard to include everyone, noteworthy Staohen and Martine. Finally I have to say ALL the staff had a smile on their faces that seemed genuine, making time for the guests. All in all a brilliant place to visit, yes we would defiantly go back for a second stay.
