The resort is beautiful, the service is prompt and precise...however the staff were predominantly there to serve, not welcome you with open arms and treat you like family. Something that my family absolutely loved when staying at the Mitsis Rodos Village resort across the road. There, it was fun, entertaining and friendly, but still professional and curtious at all times. At the Maris it felt coldly professional, unwelcoming. Managers would visibly scowl at staff that engaged us for a chat, even if only for a few minutes in non-busy periods. After a few days we made our way to the Mitsus Rodos to see if the staff we knew were still there, they actually remembered us and we were given hugs all round. We stayed for the day and had an amazing time. If only they hadn't been fully booked! That said, the rooms, pool and beach at the Maris were great, the food was good too and I can recommend the little taverna/bar in the middle of the complex, great service. The pools in both resorts have switched from fresh to saline water which is a shame, but it's cheaper and easier to keep them clean, it does burn the eyes after a while though. So, if you enjoy being served and are not there to make friends, this may be for you. If you like fun, entertaining, chatty (not imposing) staff, good food, great pools, nice (not terrific) rooms and like a hug or two...try the Rodos Village. I realise that I may be writing myself out of a return to Rodos Village by increasing their bookings, but these are our personal opinions and feelings, yours may well differ. We visited in 2017 but Trip Advisor doesn't roll back that far.

Our family stayed at the resort in October 2018 and had an amazing stay as the resort was shutting down for winter. Although now I have attempted multiple emails and phone calls to the resort as for some reason, my credit card account has been kept on file and are continuing to be charged by the resort. I would appreciate communication from the resort. I understand it is seasonal but appears someone in accounting is certainly still working over the winter.

It is a very good hotel, I enjoyed a lot the staying there last summer. The food was great, very delicious and everything fresh. Everything there is great, specially the staff of the waiters. Five stars go for Ndue which is the best there. Can’t wait to come back

Mitsis hotels are very good. Excellent when you go with the family. You know everything from rooms to food to be very good. We have been several times. Get a sea view and enjoy all amenities of a five star hotel. Gaining again in May. Had my granddaughters first birthday there and going for her 7th.

What a fantastic place, as soon as we walked into the hotel we felt welcomed. The staff were absolutely amazing. The accommodation was the best I have seen. The food was perfect. The views were great... The beach was amazing! Trips we went on were awesome. A week just wasn't long enough.... We have some great memories

The staff are positive,helpful and make things fun! It was easy for me, travelling with “Helen Mirren”, but this is a great place to take a relaxing holiday. Everything is spotlessly maintained.The food is invariably excellent,even though the hotel has to please a wide range of tastes. Russians compromise 40% of guests, Poles 25% , Germans 20% with a few French and Brits. The staff are multilingual! Lindos can be reached easily by boat from the beach,or by bus. Rhodes Town is a long bus ride and is the only cultural or historic centre on what is essentially a holiday island.We hired a small car from the desk for a day to tour the south of the island and it was very easy. On the strength of this great holiday we would look out other Mitsis hotels for future holidays. 10/10!

We went as a party of 8 for 10 nights in October this year . We had 2 family rooms on ground floor, nice rooms but had to report ants twice as they were everywhere in our room . My daughters room was on the end near steps so she couldn’t,sit outside her room. Lovely Mitsis decor throughout the hotel. Plenty of room to sit and relax and have a drink. Beach was lovely with water sports but thought should have been ice cream on beach for kids as galleria was a long walk from the beach. Found it hard to book evening restaurants as screen kept crashing but had lovely meal at burger bar in the Greek restaurant at lunchtime. Staff in Greek were brill.staff at beach bar and pizza bar on beach were hard working and very friendly. Thought charge for safe in room was dear as lots of Mitsis hotels give you free safe and towels now. Food was good in restaurant . Was very surprised not to see anyone clean pools at all, my grandson went in with goggles on and said it was very dirty on the bottom , usually in Mitsis chain see cleaners there everyday. Bus service outside hotel to Lindos is good and car hire in hotel very the reasons we won’t visit this hotel again is night staff in galleria were more interested in drinking themselves than serving customers, we witnessed drinks just being left at bar end for customers to collect themselves. We saw one barman texting a young girl staying in hotel ,she told my granddaughter this was happening. The waitress Elizabeth worked very hard and carried the other lazy staff who were too busy chatting amongst themselves.there seemed to be a lack of managers keeping the hotel staff running it smoothly to Mitsis standards. The golden tones were a brilliant act in the evenings but when shows were outside restaurant there was not enough seating .steps were very steep around the hotel without handrails.

This was our first 5 star hotel we have been to. Enjoyed it very much staff were great food was amazing. only criticism we would have is the room we stayed in was a bit outdated. We went the last week in October we were very lucky with the weather I don't think we would have enjoyed it as much if we had gone in the middle of august cattle market springs to mind.

We stayed for our 3rd visit here the first 2 weeks in October 2018. Further to my review of this time last year, I am looking for something different to say, firstly having read a lot of the reviews posted I whole heartedly agree with most of what has been said. So looking at it from different perspective I will try to give the readers some alternative/ different information. Firstly as I have mobility problems, I will point out there are a number of stairs to navigate around the site, plus plenty of ramps as alternatives. But not all the stairs have hand rails. The steepest one is from outside the Gelateria, with the added complication of the metal hand rail getting very hot in the sunshine. My wife is on a gluten free diet, and I want to thank the Executive chief and his staff for creating or amending dishes for her in the main restaurant and in the Chinese+Mediterranean restaurants. I would also like to thank Irene manager of the Chinese+Mediterranean restaurants, for her assistance with the gluten free menus and her general helpfulness. In the main restaurant I would like to thank Freddy, for his care and wit, and to Irini +Ionna (blonde one) for their help with getting gluten free products and service for my wife and tea bags for me. I would also like to thank Anna of the kitchen staff who provide me with jugs of hot water for my tea, and Dida for the best omelettes ever. Outside this area I would like to thank the Guest relations team and the deputy manager Mr.Vlachos for their care and attention. Plus this year we have a new General manager Mr. Michail Michail, who was like a breath of fresh air, in comparison with the previous incumbent. He spent time each day going around talking to the guests. I had the good fortune to talk with him a few times. I am writing this at the end of the 2018 season, but the improvements we noticed were the soft furnishings in the rooms had been changed from red to a more relaxing green colour, and my wife’s favourite improvement, weighing scales in the bathroom! The hotel is on a 5 year rolling improvement plan so I wait to see what 2019 brings. The onsite supermarket is very well stocked, and is competitively priced in comparison with the shops on the main road. If you have forgotten to pack a hairbrush or tooth paste or deodorant, it will have it. The only negatives were:- 1) When we went to the Greek restaurant I told the waiter my wife was on a gluten free diet, he said what’s that, is it no milk products, which worried me somewhat. 2) When trying to get the time for my return transfer from reception the sheet said 00:00 which for a 19:30 hrs flight was wrong, when I queried it with the receptionist, ( a small lady with a pony tail) she just shrugged her shoulders. I would have expected her to offer to ring the transfer company, but she didn’t. 3) With my mobility problems I find it difficult to stand in long queues, which occurred sometimes when trying to enter the main restaurant. When Freddy was one he would help me. But this year there is a new Restaurant manager/Maitre, and when he was on he was very regimented in strictly bringing people in line order. On more than one occasion he stopped Freddy from letting me in before the people in front of me. In some hotels we have stayed in there have been designated areas for guests with mobility issues. Having said all that, overall we liked the location, the friendliness of most of the staff and we hope to return here next October. William NWUK.

Had a great time at this hotel, rooms were kept clean and tidy. Pool - was nice, would prefer it not to be saltwater but it wasn’t a problem. The deep end was around 3.2m and the shallow was about 1m. My friend children loved the water slide and it kept him pretty occupied. There is also a kids pool with a mini slide for the smaller ones. Animation team were great and really friendly and we didn’t feel pressured into doing activities we didn’t want to. Entertainment was the best I’ve come across on the hotel scene. Great magic show, but even better was the singers who were tribute bands of the Jersey boys and the Four Tops. Food was okay and I could always find something that I liked however it did feel slightly Samey. The waiters and waitresses were brilliant singing happy birthday and giving our friends 3 year old a cake with a candle in it for him to blow out. Nice little touch. My only gripe is that you have to hand over a €20 deposit per towel. Most other hotels we have been to don’t do this. You would usually get a towel card with your room key. All in all though a nice clean hotel, with brilliant friendly staff and great facilities
