Cyprotel Faliraki - All Inclusive4.0 out of 5.0

Hotel is set in a quiet area of town and walking distance from the sandy beach but hotel also offered you free shuttle bus. Cyprotel is located on a hill and has a picturesque view from the restaurant's terrace towards the sea and mountains. Hotel has a variety of food from different cuisine's, well prepared and fresh. We experienced amazing daytime and evening entertainment which changed daily. There has been offered numerous facilities such as Swimming pools with slides, tennis court, etc. Staff has been very friendly and helpful. Our room has been cleaned well and towels were replaced every day. Our double bedroom has very simple design, bunk bed for kids, facilities flat TV, kettle, hair drier, etc.
It's the worst hotel I've ever been to. Firstly, the food was disgusting, half of it was not fresh and had an odor. Secondly, wifi worked only at 3 in the morning when most of the guests were sleeping. Moreover, there was an incident. Our room was nice and comfortable, but one night my husband caught a big cockroach in our bathroom. The hotel manager blamed the climate. So strange. We had been to the Greese before and had never shared a bathroom with a cockroach. all in all, the hotel should be two-star-hotel. Where they got two extra stars I don't know.
Lovely hotel with great entertainment ! The staff are very friendly and always there to offer assistance. Lovely food and drinks ! Amazing location and set out lovely only fault we booked in the wrong month as rain and thunderstorms ! Also some shops and restaurants closed !
Lovely gardens spread over large area, lots of sun beds no need for early morning dash! This may not be the case in July August! This hotel did not have the prefix Sun Connect last year so well may have been sold to a new group, therefore standards may not be the same.. Last year the food was good and the rooms were basic but nice, we were near the outside dining area used for lunch and snacks. The main restuarant is upstairs (they have a lift which also goes to the roof bar) There is an alfresco area. Food was of a good standard. The evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss in an outside amphitheatre, the lighting in the outside areas is poor making card playing difficult. The three pools are all well maintained and there are outside showers. The children enjoyed the slides,. Sugar free drinks are not easily available, I used robinsons squashems in a variety of flavours with their soda. Faliraki town is down the hill a pleasant walk, a taxi back is 4 euros.
We visited the Cyprotel for the last week of the season. We visited Corfu last year at a similar time so we were aware that things would be closing but we didn’t realise it would be quite so bad ! On arrival the room we were given was right at the top of the hill (block 7000) and was very basic. Definitely not 4 star standard. We moved rooms the following day to a room closer to the pool. This room was very similar and again not to 4 star standard. The finish of the room was terrible. Skirting boards coming of the wall, gaps in the laminate flooring. We had ants nests in our room a few times and had to get someone to come and sort this out. Which to be fair they did swiftly. The bathroom also flooded and we had to wade through inches of water ! The hotel was closing down around us. I think they forgot they still had paying guests there. It did feel like we were just an inconvenience. Bins weren’t getting emptied, sun-beds were dirty and they were removing furniture from around us which doesn’t really make a very relaxing holiday. The food was very limited. The snack bar had already been closed down and all meals were served in the main restaurant. Things were running out and not being replaced, tea bags, ice cream cones and even plates and crockery on the last day! You had to use napkins. The animation team were poor. We didn’t really see much of them. They did a few things in the day, darts etc but in the evening they were terrible. Non existent. A 10 minute game of bingo or a quiz. We were really disappointed after reading some really good reports about this hotel. I don’t think we would visit again. We enjoyed Faliraki but not this hotel.
We spent a week in the hotel in October. Consider it’s a great value for money and choice for families with kids. Good entertainment, aqua slides and play room was the busiest corner at all times :) for not only kids but adults as well. Food needs some better choices, my personal opinion - they save on food. Rooms are basic but all you need. Beds are not very comfortable. Be ready to use a shuttle bus to the beach or walk about 15-20 min downhill and then back. In low season with moderate temperatures it’s a nice walk, but in summer heat - bus highly recommended. In Faliraki you will find much better choices to dine from time to time.
The hotel itself is fine. The pools are nice and water park is great for the children. The entertainment team work hard to keep everyone happy. The rooms are certainly not to the standard of the rating of the hotel and are very basic, but are cleaned regularly. The surrounding area is generally run down and requires investment. My issue is more with the service received due to holidaying at the end of the season. I was not made aware that the whole resort closed on October the 31st. As a guest, I expected to enjoy my holiday and receive the same level of service and enjoy the facilities in the same way that the guests had done the week before; unfortunately, this was not the case. We were viewed more as an inconvenience, with staff packing away restaurant tables and chairs as we ate. The pools were stripped of loungers and room furniture was thrown from balconies to removal trucks pretty much around the clock. All the snack bars were closed and when an item of food of drink ran out, you were to choose something else, as they weren’t replaced. I think they were using whatever was in the freezer at mealtimes ready to close, so the food was repetitive and poor towards the end of the holiday. The ultimate insult was to be told to use a napkin to eat our meal off, as they didn’t want to dirty plates on our last day- we were still on our holiday that we had paid good money for! The maids also cleaned my room out to close the block, before my checkout time, discarding all of my drinks and toiletries and stripping the bathroom of the toilet roll and shower curtain. A dining table was randomly place in front of our door. The saddest thing is that this could have been a great holiday, if the staff were more focused on hospitality rather than closing for the season. My advice is, do not visit here at this time of year. My photos clearly show how closed the hotel felt, even though it was still pretty- such a shame!
We visited Cyprotlel Faliraki in the last 2 weeks of September. To be honest - we weren't too sure about that place. And end up very satisfied with that holiday. Location - superb - close to the beach, bars, aqua park, - but still quiet enough to have proper rest. Hotel - it was our first time in Greece - 4 stars here ... I would compare it to solid 3 stars in Canary Islands. Rooms quite big, good size balconies. Beds are bit tough but comfortable. Cleaned everyday but Sundays. Good aircon. We were located in the top row of the buildings... Close enough to everything... Food - not a lots of choices but enough and very tasty and we thought it was better than to have lots but no taste. always fresh. Swimming pools and slides - what can you say - GREAT. Simple. Best part - ENTERTAINMENT STAFF and hotel staff overall. Mix of nationalities and just great - always have time for kids, adults... Thank you. why 4 stars not 5? Drinks... the worse we ever had... sodas - cheap no brands but drinkable... just... Alcoholic drinks... waste of time... really cheap local stuff... no flavor, no strength... tasteless... Local lager was quite nice... Overall - great budget holidays in fantastic place... Thank you Cyprotel.
I have been with my family in this hotel and I only have compliments. We love the food, like all inclusive drinks, very well catered for by the staff in general, very entertaining animation. An experience to repeat and recommend.
Cyprotel Faliraki is definitely place to go on holiday! It has everything - amazing pool with nice surroundings and more than enough beds, water park, good food available at any time of day and animation team that will entertain ANYONE. Me and my boyfriend cannot wait to come back next year!
