Very friendly good price very clean?,near the centre a bit noisy late the night cos of the tavernas . Good service information and very helpfull to all your questions. Also very good food to the restaurant that belongs to the hotel. Fillet steak with grilled vegetables very juicy and Lamb cottolettes very tasty. I will go again as my daughter studies in the university of Rhodes.
The restaurant is very good. Food and staff inclusive. This made up for the room in which we were staying. The shower floor was dirty when we arrived. And the bathroom glass door looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for years. The sheet on the double bed was made for a single bed which I did not find very hygenic. The chambermaid looked extremely overworked. Additionally the balcony was never cleaned.
Booked this place and then wondered was it the right decision. Answer? Yes. We were on the 3rd floor, a bit giddy overlooking the street. Not noisy. Small room. Needs face lift. Breakfast, well, weird in some respects; odd food items, but then Greece was new for us, so maybe I should not be critical. The cleaning personnel are under pressure to clear all in a short period. It is advertised as a non-smoking hotel. SMOKING IS ALLOWED here. In the breakfast room, near the bar and why, oh why do they have ash trays in each room? Another small gripe of mine, only male reception staff, and almost non communicative. No welcoming, hello? Did you have a safe/pleasant journey etc. In time, in time, I hope.
Our room was 156. Photos shown on website were of pleasant, sunny rooms. At the rear of our room was our balcony. Approx 12 inches wide and overlooking a dirty backstreet where the sun couldn’t penetrate. At the front of our room was a terrace/patio containing three chairs and a table. On three sides were hotel walls reaching six stories. On the fourth was a wall around 12 feet high. So, no view and no chance of any sunlight there either. This area was further “enhanced” by a dead tree and the noisy and smelly outlet vent from the kitchen. Our week’s stay was punctuated by regular periods of no electricity (although having watched the receptionist getting it back on one night, I learned where to thump the fuse box to get it working, eventually), and no air-con, because the lady had forgotten to write in the book that we’d paid for it. Breakfast was very hit and miss - rubberised eggs, tasteless bread and not even a toaster. Just a sandwich maker, for whatever reason. I don’t recommend this place at all.
We arrived late evening time to the hotel after being dropped off from Bus .On check in we were asked do You want to purchased air conditioning for the Room . I was a little taken back as i have never had or asked to pay extra for air conditioning in my life on holidays .We then were asked did we want to pay for a safe for the week which we had to purchase also . We booked through Tui and on our booking it stated the hotel had a safe and air conditioning but No mention of paying extra for it . The receptionist guy was quite Rude also . Half way through our week i asked can we Organise a late check on our last day due to late pick up and were told no they needed the room for new guests . I then asked could we book another night in which i was told there were no availability and to check the last day . i went down to reception and again the same gent was there and asked could we book another night and was told no availability and when i corrected him and showed him the website with rooms available he then said ok which i booked an extra night . Our air conditioning stopped working atleast 3 times that week and i had to make atleast 8 visits to reception as they would not answer the phone when i called . The breakfast was very poor with Very hard cold eggs and poor quality sausages etc we had breakfast included and only went 1 day to try and didn't go back again . Location of the hotel was very good and alot of the Issues were totally avoidable if there were better trained staff . We would not go back to this hotel Again or recommend it to anyone . The only plus side of our stay was the cleaner done a first class job and was always pleasant to say hello .WE left a little tip of 10e .
Beautiful hotel, on a very good location, nice and clean rooms, with excellent breakfast and diner. Everything you need is just around the corner. I liked this place a lot.. Rhodes is wonderfull! I will come back!
This was our seventh stay at Rhodes and second stay at this hotel and after our impressions are settled we can say that the strongest one of this hotel is staffing, to begin with Mrs Kiki, both Eleni`s from the restaurant, Mr Stavros, Mr Manolis at the reception desk, Miss Cristina from the lobby bar, cleaning ladies, all of them impeccable ! This time we were also thrilled with dinner at the hotel restaurant, as we had half board arrangement. Chef was fantastic and we couldn`t decide what to choose from all the delicious meals they were offering every evening. At our great surprise with every meal they offered free drinks - soft drinks, beer and wine, that was fantastic ! As in a first class restaurants !!! Our room - 401 was great, bed very large and comfortable, bed linen fresh and often changed, fresh towels every day - what to ask for more than that ? Hotel position in city is optimal - a quiet street but close to everything from shops and restaurants to city beach or old town. There are, of course, some little things that could be improved or refurbished as for example wooden terrace furniture and fences but that is just to give a completely independent and fair review. Considering that this is a 3 star hotel that is just a suggestion for further improvement. All in all - would certainly visit again !!!
Restaurant staff seemed to work long hours and were generally cheerful and delighted at any attempts to speak Greek. Breakfast was just OK but how cruel they were to the eggs- neither scrambled nor fried just dozens of them cooked till hard all in one baking tray - most bizarre. We had a broken bedside light hanging by its live wires which in over 25 years of travel to Greece we have come to expect. We were denied use of the safety deposit box as I lost the will to live arguing with reception. Someone's breakfast in their room was left out in the corridor all day and their were a number of touches that could have made to place better. Location was good but information in reception for English speakers was not. Scandinavians were well catered for in this regard. Delightful young lady on bar duty. Room was well cleaned and the road (for Greece) was quiet at night..
We searched hard for an affordable room in the town centre that fits a family of 4, and ended up with Atlantis City. It is a short stroll into the old city, archaeological museum, castle and the beach. The hotel itself is rather faceless. Front desk is pretty passive and gets the job done (it didn’t even offer to help us with our luggages). However, the folks at the breakfast table are friendly, and housekeeping person is tip-top. The family room is spacious, fitting a double room and 2 single beds. It comes fairly equipped with the basics for a hotel room, with a tiny tv, fridge, safe and hairdryer. Internet connection is however spotty. Our room at 156 even opens up to a small courtyard at the back. Breakfast buffet is fair, with some selections of cheeses, stale breads, hams, bacon and sausages, juices, coffee/tea and cereals. Not terrific, but it’s fine. Overall it’s a central property that gets the job done for sightseers. It’s fine as long as you don’t need a lot of services.
Firstly let me start by saying I'm not a picky traveller. I've been on my fair share of lads holidays with dirty sheets and all sorts and never kicked up a fuss because it was cheap. I expected a bit better than that with this hotel as a couple's break and in fairness the room and hotel was spotless. The location, appearance, price etc were 10/10. What let this hotel down is the absolute basic requirements: electricity, hot water, air conditioning. When we arrived at around 2am the power had gone out by the same morning (when we woke up sweating). By evening the electricity and hot water had come back but the ac remained broken leaving us constantly dripping wet in 33c heat. Throughout the week we had less protracted power cuts, with some lasting just a few seconds in length, but they were happening sometimes as often as once every 10 minutes! This meant that the hotel would constantly plunge into darkness at unpredictable moments. Far more annoying than this, every time the power cut out the AC would reset and not automatically turn back on when the power came back. My view of the hotel was soured even further by the rude lying woman on reception who when we complained about the situation tried to pretend she didn't know anything about it and suggested we were lying about it happening, even though the whole hotel was without power and scorching hot. I pointed out that we had to walk down the stairs to talk to her because the lift was without power, so obviously it was the whole hotel, when suddenly her once perfect English dissolved into incomprehensible Greek gibberish. Overall, I found the staff to be dismissive and liars. I asked if the hotel would be willing to cover our €7 city tax charge as a show of old faith (an entirely reasonable request since €7 is a tiny fraction of what I paid for the hotel) and once again it was met with a rude dismissive "NO". Unless you want to deal with the most arrogant staff I've ever witnessed, and put up with 3rd world utility conditions, I suggest you AVOID this hotel like the plague. It ruined our holiday.
