Omg! What a fabulous holiday! We would have loved to stay longer! We arrived on our first evening and the buffet was kept open for our late arrival, the bell boy took us to our room and stayed to show us how to set up the WiFi in the room. The morning buffet was amazing! Choice of cooked, fresh fruits and more! But the best bit.. the waiters and waitresses kept your tea topped up! There was a que for the towels in the morning, but expected on the first few days due to influx of new arrivals. The pool side are cleaned religiously day and night and also the ala Carte was amazing The beach was beautiful and kept tidy and the handy bonus of the bar and food area nearby, there were water sports to keep you entertained also. Overall, the hotel is clean, full of amenities including shops inside and great service and professionalism shown at all times.. we also made life long friends so we are forever grateful for that.. thank you to all the team that helped make our stay a wonderful one

Best hotel where i have ever been, and i have travel in 24 country, over 50 destination experience. Glorious pool area, nice beach, luxyry food on buffet, super friendly staff, super clean hotel. (Thanks for cleaning lady). Program for kids and adulds, guided exercise ext ext. And hotel have own aquapark. For 2 aduld, completely worth the price, but unfortunately little too expencive for finnish family how have normal salary, if travel with kids.

Service 3/5 Average and a little slow at times, except for a handful of the staff there is no sense of urgency. The cleaners and maids who aren't in customer-facing roles were the friendliest. Reception wasn't too helpful and came across a little rude at times. To give a special mention, when eating breakfast outside Dimitris was terrific. As soon as we walked outside, we were greeted and offered coffee, it appeared as though he managed to do this for everyone who walked through the doors and enjoyed it too. Room 4/5 Light switches, everywhere! It's crazy, even after 7 nights we were still getting to grips with the light switches. Initially, the room is lovely and modern, but there are a few flaws, the attention to detail is lacking slightly—for example, the bathroom walls had pencil markings from renovation work. The air-conditioning is excellent, as a very hot person who struggles to sleep at night I had no trouble. You are provided with the very basics, something that surprised me was that they don't provide an iron and ironing board for health and safety reasons... when I packed 4 shirts to wear in the evenings this was quite a disappointment. This is the first place I've stayed that doesn't provide an iron and ironing board. Food and Drink 3/5 We thought the food in the buffet restaurant was excellent, every meal we were spoilt for choice and struggling to decide what to eat! Regardless of the time, the food was well stocked, hot and relatively fresh. A la carte—avoid at all costs. This is merely a money making scheme with extortionate supplementary charges. Our food was average at best, and the choice is limited if you want to avoid the excessive additional costs. The drinks are okay, the pina colada was quite nice, but we didn't like any of the other cocktails. The wine is pretty awful in my opinion, but it's all inclusive, so that's to be expected. We mostly stuck to beer, spirits and mixers where you can't really go wrong. Grounds 5/5 The hotel grounds are amazing, everything is immaculate, and I really like the design. An army of cleaners conquer the pool area each morning and scrub every inch. It really was quite impressive. We loved the pool area and happily lay there most of the day (we are not beach people, can't stand the sand). Out and About We ventured into Rhodes maybe two or three times over 7 nights. I would highly recommend visiting Rhodes Old Town in the evening—simply amazing. We had dinner at Archipelagos, the service, food and wine were impeccable with a fantastic view over the square. People will be trying to get you into every bar and restaurant on the square, they aren't too pushy and will stop once you say no. Lindos, wow. Make sure you pay this place a visit. If I revisit Rhodes, I'll definitely stay a few nights in Lindos. We spent a day there and didn't want to leave. Amazing beaches, views, and restaurants. For transport, we only used the buses from outside the hotel. It is incredibly cheap and easy to get around, even at night leaving Rhodes Old Town we didn't feel the need to get a taxi.

We were visiting Rhodes for a family wedding, this hotel was excellent a lot more then was expected, the room was very nice, cleaned every day, the staff were very helpful, liked to speak to there clients, the pool was very good with 3 bars and an adult only area which was good, the choice of food was amazing and the inclusive package was a great choice as we could eat and drink all we wanted, I also liked the fact that we could still use all the facilities available until the minute we left, and we got to book a room to wash and change before leaving the hotel.

We went at the end of October (as family of 4) - low season (weather still good) Rooms very clean and nicely furnished. Aircon working well. TV and WiFi excellent. I loved the fact that we could have sunbeds by the pool and the sea was only 50 m away from the pool. The water slides are basic, but fast enough to have fun for the whole family. If you really want the fast water slides, the public water park is 400 m from the hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and always smiling. The food was bad. Trust me, I am not being difficult (I was not expecting Michelin Star quality). I am comparing the food at the Colossus with the food at Club Med or Venta Club (Italian budget version of Club Med) and it was mediocre. The "a la carte" restaurants were even worse: the quality was the same as the buffet (bland and lukewarm food), but with less choice. We have tried the Asian and the Italian restaurant a la carte: I have never had worse Asian food or worse Italian food ever (not even in England!) To make things worse, you could choose only from a handful (3 or 4) of main courses with no extra charges everything else was extra (for example the duck was 25 Euros per person). The house wine (free in the main restaurant) was charged at approx 20 Euros per bottle. Verdict: would I do again to the Amada Colossus? Not as a Full Inclusive resort. Only if I could pay for B&B accommodation and eat elsewhere.

Lovely refurbishment completed and rooms and pools look great. Get used to no door on the bathroom. Came at half term with the promise that all facilities were open. They weren’t. No teen club, no healthy snack bar, no coffee shop. Mini market empty. Pools were freezing and not able to be used. This meant the water park was not used as much either as far too cold. Nothing open nearby as all had shut. One bar by water park ran out of wine, just kept being told end of season. Nightly animation was poor, all staff but two had left. Animation in the day was poor, the one guy left, I think his getup andgo had gone. Overall lovely place but I didn’t get what I paid for. You should only go between June through to Sept otherwise it’s on shut down. Disappointing when you can only go in term time.

We stayed as a family of 5 in late October. The hotel is beautiful and the room looked just like the picture on the website. Ignore the negative reviews - the staff are very welcoming and very friendly. Vesna, especially who welcomed us into the restaurant, was lovely. The restaurant staff work really hard but most made the time for a friendly 'kalimera' and appreciate when you make a tiny effort to speak a bit of Greek. The food was awesome with lots of choice every day. Yes, there was a bit of a queue sometimes at the bars, but what's the rush? We were on holiday and relaxing, and Toto and his helper were funny to watch! The water park was great and being right on the beach was a real bonus. Rhodes is a beautiful island and one week is nowhere near long enough to see it all, but this hotel is the perfect base to explore it from with bus stops just outside. Fantastic place.

The Amada Colossos Resort is fantastic, hotel is very clean, hotel rooms lovely and modern, we had a Sea View Studio Partition room which we could not fault apart from the air conditioning we couldn’t lower to below 22 degrees so ended up sleeping with the balcony door open for some cool air. Food amazing, if anyone goes hungry it’s their own fault as lots on offer from morning til night, local branded alcoholic drinks included in the all inclusive but unfortunately if wanted a named brand it was an additional 3 euros per drink. Evening entertainment was rather disappointing and nothing really for our 13 & 10yr old boys to do other than play ping pong, but the WiFi is very good and free so their electronic devices kept them entertained along with the odd game of uno :-) Pools are lovely, one has a large jacuzzi area, the swim up bars are also a nice feature. Aquagym in the mornings is good fun to take part in. Waterpark is great fun and great plus for the hotel, certainly kept our boys entertained. Overall a brilliant family holiday in the sun and will definitely return in the future.

We visited at the end of the season (late October) for a week and stayed in a family room (one double, two singles, separated by sliding doors and with a large sea facing balcony). The staff were all very helpful, and from the plate of sandwiches waiting for us in the room for our late arrival, to the offer of a late check-out on our departure, they made sure we were looked after. It is well worth booking the three theme a la carte restaurants, we enjoyed them all and it is nice to sit together for some meals rather than popping backwards and forwards to the buffet (which was also very nice). Also the wine list at the a la carte options is very good (you pay extra for this). The water park was great - 5 big slides, a (very) lazy river and a large splash zone for the littler ones. The lifeguards on duty did a great job keeping an eye on everyone and the snacks from the bar were more than enough for a light lunch. The water was a little on the chilly side, but it was October! All in all a lovely hotel.

My wife and I arrived on Thursday 18th October with our 13 year old son. We had booked a family room to accommodate the three of us and after the short journey from the airport we were pleased with the standard of the room although my recommendation would be to upgrade if you have teenagers. The room was lovely and clean and kept well looked after during our week here. My only advice to the hotel would be that it would be appreciated if the water in the fridge was replenished daily. The staff in the main bar (Yannis and Kiriakos) made us very welcome and made us instantly feel like we were in a good place. Over the next few days, we had a lot of fun and special mentions to Thanos at the adult only swim up bar, Irini at the main pool bar (and the young smiley guy who works there too) - they all made this a happy experience. In short, I was apprehensive having read mixed reviews, but I would like to say this - if you are happy and polite with the staff, they are all amazingly happy and polite in return. I did witness some people talking to the staff in a blunt, not particularly friendly tone and this must take it's toll on the staff. My personal special mention goes to Dimitra who I had a massage with and then had to return to see for a second massage on my last day - she has magic hands and fixed my upper back problems and left me feeling totally relaxed! I highly recommend this place and look forward to returning.
