Just realised I never posted this back in August and do looking to go back so felt I should put this on the site as this place is so good. Having booked a very last minute holiday to the Amilla Mare we were more than delighted to find that the hotel complex offered everything that we could have possibly wanted. The rooms were bright and light with a divided area with kids beds. They were modern and very comfortable with a lovely spacious bathroom, they were spotlessly clean. On opening the terrace doors we were delighted to find that we were steps away from the pool area. It seems that they have many individual blocks with around 20 or so rooms and a pool for each block. The pool was a great size and due to the limited amount of rooms, there were never more than ten people in the pool (during August). There was a very lively shared pool area on the lively side of complex if you wanted an water aerobics class. Good food, plus a greek, French and fab Chinese restaurant included in the all inclusive price. Private beaches, water slides and loads of pools with beach side restaurants and cocktails. Watersports payable on the beach and boat trips. We will be back and met two other families that said same thing – booked through first choice.

Lovely resort with lovely surroundings with lush gardens and loads of pools! The resort was kept spotlessly clean and so was a the lovely Sea view room that we received. It was spacious modern and had a magnificent view! Many restaurants and a plentiful selection of vegetarian food especially in the main restaurant which was amazing!! Highly recommended as a hotel and will be visiting again for sure

I stayed at this hotel in September. The hotel facilites are just fine for someone who wants to both close to the old town and to enjoy the beach time. THe hotel is big itself, i stayed at Diagoras building and my room was facing the sea. the room is spacious, well equipped, with an amazing view. The restaurant is Ok, with plenty of choice of dishes. I Would recommend this hotel as a good value for money

We spent 7 days at this freat huge resort. The sea was very nice calm.and clean. We were withour 2kids andsince the hotel is located in a bay, there were no waves at all.when we traveled to another part of the island you wouldnt be able to swim. Here at amilia you could have an option of many pools too with water slides.Kids and us enjoyed the italian food at the restaurant close to the pool, we followed the program of animation team and the guys were very friendly and hard working. The food in the main restaurant was plenty.not all we really liked, but the choice was big,we always found something interesting to taste. Will return next year

This was our seventh holiday to Rhodes in 6 years, always staying in Kallithea but this was our first (and last) holiday at this hotel... We have always picked up at this hotel on previous visits and the hotel looks great from the outside and we got the very same impression on our check in with the lobby looking clean and very expansive. As we arrived late on a Saturday night we were thankful to get to our room swiftly, the room was standard and nothing more or nothing less than expected with sandwich's left in the fridge. Unfortunately these were not edible and they were still there when we left after a week! Yes the rooms were not serviced to the same standard we have got used to on previous holidays. Sunday morning, up bright and early for breakfast so we could kill some time before the meeting with our rep as we could not get beach towels until 10 what an eye opener.. Restaurant was like a cheap diner with no character and the staff seemed drained of any lust for life. I had read reviews before travelling so I was expecting limited food selection, poor service, cold food drinks in paper cups and so on but there were some things I would not have envisaged. TUI sort yourselves out and deal with the issues you miss sold us and other's on, we always travel in September or the first week of October but we did not expect the Albatross Street Food bar / restaurant to be closed down on our second day, Eva Cocktail Bar to also be closed down, La Pergola bar / restaurant by the pool area to serve only cheese pizza, ham & cheese pizza or pasta with no one serving drinks so it was beer or beer! The"Bars Delfinia" (pool bar) bearing in mind the previous bars that were closed or had no service had just one side opened up with just one bar tender with absolutely no choice of spirits / cocktails available even when you did get served. Our second day saw very unusual weather condition's with heavy rain, we were expecting this as it was forecast and yes for safety reasons outside areas were closed but this then created a situation I never thought I would experience at a all-inclusive hotel... Having to ask customer services where & why I could not get a gin and tonic at 1300 hours in the afternoon. To round that day off nicely, in the evening at the Chevalier Bar, yes the main bar with just two very pleasant over worked young men with no support trying to satisfy a constant single lined queue having to serve drink in paper cups as they had used the very limited amount of glasses they had available to them. Over the years we have made friends with locals and as our rep was invisible after giving his first day sales pitch we spoke with locals who were quick to inform us that the Aldemar Emilia Mare was once a very good hotel, but since management changes it is now one of the worst in Kallithea and I for one can not disagree. May I suggest the management team take a walk up the hill as we did during our stay and visit the Horizon Royal, TUI why for a lot more money did you and this hotel deliver so much less? Sorry I did not mention the entertainment because other than the amazing animation team this was not existent.

We have our holidays at the same hotel this autumn. Why ? - perfect location, private pool, good meat, friendless personal and very good service for kids. You can choose 3 restorans for breakfast lunch or dinner.. There is silent and safe place for our kids.

We have recently returned from the Amelia Mare hotel which we have now visited 3 times. We stayed from the 5th to the 19th September and we were delighted to be given Room 881 a suite which was spotlessly clean and with a lovely view of the sea and overlooking a pool, for our use. As always the hotel and outside areas, including the main pool, were always maintained and very clean. The pool area had all new sunbeds and umbrellas and made it look very attractive. We were sorry to see that some of the staff had been moved, Vasilis had been moved from the Chevalier bar and was the asset there, he made everyone feel so welcome. The new barmen seem to be doing cocktails, which are time consuming, so the queue for drinks was always very long. However we were always treated with great respect and help and we commend the hotel for their lovely staff. Irene on hospitality was always so kind and always helped us with whatever we wanted, she is a credit to your hotel. The only thing we found is that the food was only warm and the English taste is for hot food. The quality is very good and always a good selection replaced often. Thank you for making our holiday such a lovely experience, we hope to return again next year.

This was one of the best holidays we have had so far, The selection or choice of food in the main restaurant huge and delicious the wine list was great We used both indoor and outdoor pools but we preferred lounging by the outdoor pool. The rooms were fantastic and the view from the 3rd floor is amazing, surprisingly the sea is quite warm in October, The whole setup of the hotel is beautiful and there were plenty of things to do !! I would recommend this hotel for sure

We stayed here for 2.5 weeks and had a very positive experience with all the staff and particularly the manager Mary. Nothing was too much effort for her to arrange to give our guests the best possible experience. The hotel and grounds and very clean and well kept. There is a good and varied selection of food, the the themed nights in the pool restaurant providing even greater choice. I have never seen a bigger cocktail menu at an all inclusive hotel. The bar staff did not skimp on the measures and the local spirits were good. Welcome bottle of wine in the bedroom on arrival was a nice touch and maids kept our water bottle supply in the room replenished regularly. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

We were meant to be staying at the sister hotel Aldemar Paradise Village but when we arrived late at night it was fully closed up for the season, so the taxi took us to the Amilia Mare. Hotel grubby, very basic, the same food (lukewarm and boring), disgusting wine, watered-down drinks, very unfriendly unsmiling staff (apart from animation staff and about three waiters/waitresses who were great), gritty beach not sand, some bars and the Chinese restaurant closed...the negatives go on. They told us the hotel had been refurbished in 2015, that can't possibly be true, we saw no evidence! Thankfully we were lucky with the weather (mid-October), so that saved the day (and the children enjoyed the water slide!) Overall, I would certainly not recommend this hotel for so many reasons.
