room- we had interconnecting room for our two teens and us. Lovely clean rooms with regular refill of fridge and beds changed regularly. Cleaning staff very nice nothing was too much trouble. food - excellent selection fresh food always available. swimming pools - three available, enough to cater for little ones teens and adults

We stayed at the akti imperial in July 2018 and were unsure what to expect due to mixed reviews following its refurbishment earlier in the year. We stayed in a side sea view room. The room was quite small, but enough room for two and very clean. Drinks were available in the room and replaced daily, which was great. The buffet food was good, lots of choice, though slightly repetitive. The pool bar buffet was where we ate most lunchtimes as this was quieter/smaller, but still had plenty of options! Service in the main restaurant was good most of the time, it depended who served you. Sometimes you’d get drinks and a wine cooler within 5 minutes, others you could wait a long time for drinks and get no wine cooler. We didn’t eat in the a la carte restaurants as the reviews weren’t very good and we were happy with the main restaurant. The terrace bar was really good and we had drinks here after dinner most nights, this got really busy and could do with more staff as it took a really long time to get drinks. The pool bar had entertainment during the evening but this was child/family focussed. We didn’t visit the beach much as there were plenty of different pools with lots of free sun beds in the hotel. The beach was pebbly and very windy compared to sunbathing by the pool. We got a taxi to Rhodes town twice, once to eat in the town for dinner and another time to do a boat trip to Lindos which we would recommend. The taxi to Rhodes town was €10-12 and took 10mins. Overall, great holiday and while it might not be a 5* hotel, the holiday price is reasonable for what you get!

We stayed for a week in September and have never been on an all inclusive holiday and had a fabulous time. The staff that were encountered were all extremely helpful and friendly. Room - we stayed on the 8th floor and had a side sea view room which was great, yes the roads around are busy but being on a high floor didnt bother us at all and the sunsets were amazing. Had no problems with leaking shower, the strip lights in the outside corridor are very bright and the light does come under the door, easily resolved with a bath mat or towel put against it at night. Mini fridge a great bonus and stocked daily. Can imagine the room being a bit of squash for 3 people though as not overly big. Bed and pillows were amazing, so comfortable. Food - so much choice, can't imagine why anyone would have a problem with it. We loved it. We have nothing to compare it with having never chosen this type of holiday before but people we chatted to who go on all inclusives regularly said it was one of the best. Staff very friendly and helpful. Branded spirits too but remember to ask for it by name. Beach - take beach shoes! So glad I read about this before we went. We spent more time at the beach than the pool as love the sea, the waves are great fun being on the windy side of the island. The beach is pebbles and shingle and not sandy. Pool - joined with aqua aerobics one day, bit of a laugh but won't be rushing to do it again :) hotel entertainment is cheesy but isn't that what its all about. We spent a couple of evenings down at the smaller pool bar where the live singers were quite good, table service here to and on the terrace. Lifts - didn't cause us any problems, and when on holiday I don't let things like that bother me, we are here to chill out I think the only complaint I have (and would have given 4.5 stars if I could) is the public toilets around the pool and in the public areas. The see through glass doors with gaps down the side are really not acceptable especially for women who need more privacy at certain times. This really does need addressing, look around though as there are a couple that have double doors in the reception area which make it a bit more private. Transfer - take a taxi, we learnt the hard way and waited over an hour on a coach when we arrived and then dropped off at about 4 or 5 hotels before getting to ours all in all about 2 hours when its probably only a 20 min drive. To sum up we had a fantastic relaxing break at a great hotel at a very good price and would recommend it if an ultra all inclusive holiday is what you are after

Me and my partner stayed at the hotel back in July 2018. I cannot stress enough what an incredible experience staying at the Akti was. We had our reservations as the hotel was new and naturally lacked reviews/photos/online presence, but we decided to take the plunge and we thankfully we regretted nothing. The hotel staff were absolutely fantastic and helped us in every which way possible and were super friendly, I don't drink alcohol so I asked for the fridge to be refilled with soft drinks, this was done each day no problem. We treated ourselves to the spa for my boyfriends birthday which was lovely and did some jet skiing opposite the front of the hotel. The bar on the beach was always staffed and the food buffets in the hotel were always refreshed. The interior design of the hotel room was spot on, slick simple and very tasteful, the extra led lighting in the bedroom added a great atmosphere. The only critique we would give is that the food in the thematic restaurants the evening wasn't always great, one evening some guests next to our table left. the quality of the food was not the standard that was expected but this might of changed now as the hotel will of been opened for some time and teething issues such as these when new hotels open is common and easily resolved if addressed. In terms of location the Hotel was perfect for us, visiting old Rhodes town was a must as there were so many markets/restaurants/bars open most for the evening, we visited before the school holidays so the hotel wasn't over run with lots of families and children but would recommend the hotel for any group and the cab ride was just 20 min max to the airport. Overall we were more than pleased with the entire experience and would recommend the hotel without a doubt.

A bit of a late review, but anyway, stayed here in July. Plus points, nice comfortable room, amazing bed, mini fridge which was filled daily. Free, strong Wi-Fi. Near Lohan's nightclub which opened a week before we arrived. Negatives - Even if you put the do not disturb sign on, the maids and mini fridge refill guy would still walk in, even when we were in bed, this is simply not acceptable. Also, our doors extra lock did not work, a maintenance guy came once and said he'd return the day after and did not. The hotel reception kept telling us the hotel is safe and not to worry, but the lock from inside the room should always work in any room. The beach: Accessed via it's own tunnel near the quieter pool. The view as you come out of the tunnel is just beautiful, the waves however, wow! Rhodes is very windy so beware, but in the heat it is most welcome. Make sure you bring your sea shoes as this isn't a sandy beach, entering the sea will be very painful without them. The food was ok, it wasn't the best. Ate out alot - lots of places to eat at around the hotel. Rodos Garden was a nice place to eat at, but one block down on the corner was another place which I can't remember the name of was even better and the prices were great. We only discovered this place on the last day which was a shame. The entertainment at the hotel was the same as always, cheesy and not up our street, but they all tried very hard. I can comment on the pool area as there was never a space there (we're late risers), but I did see that the lazy river was most definitely not a lazy river. It was a nice holiday (with branded drinks I should add), however I don't think I'd come back again. It wasn't up to 5 star standard when we visited, but maybe that's changed now.

Great facilities and beautiful suites with picturesque views! The special dining restaurants weren't good at all- we tried the Italian and Greek, and didn't go back to either (left the Greek restaurant early to head to the buffet). The buffet restaurant was excellent and suitable for all dietary requirements, and waiting staff were friendly and took the time to converse with you. You'll definitely never go hungry here, there's food served at all hours of the day and night. The fresh pizza made at lunch time is amazing! The chef was happy to make a fraction of a pizza without tomatoes especially for me. The entertainment was great for children & adults, and the bar area that overlooked the stage was the best spot to watch it from (for adults) or on the sun loungers at the side of the stage. There are so many pool areas you’ll always find space and quietness (If that’s what your looking for). The children’s pool area is popular. There were always vacant sun loungers on the beach no matter what time you’d show up. The hotel was very close to the main areas of interest. We got public transport to the Old/New towns which only took 10 minutes and the busses stopped right outside the hotel (the bus drivers were helpful by calling out the names of the stops when we arrived). Could not fault this hotel, would definitely stay there again!

well, its a little late, but i think i should say whats on my mind....we arrived back on the 18th of october. after 10 days at the akti....firstly let me say, that i cant fault the hotel or the staff...in fact if it had not been for the convention, which we were never told about until we arrived..would have been one of our best holidays...i wont go on about HERBALIFE NUTRITION,as anyone that was there would have seen or written reviews....what i am not happy about is JET 2..we paid over £1600 of our hard earned money for a relaxing holiday, which we never got...i emailed them when i got back, and told them of our experience, and advised them to read the reviews of the akti imperial,at the time we were away..i really thought they would say that they agreed with the fact that for 4 to 5 days of our break, was a bit of a nightmare, and that a little bit of compensation would have been appreciated,as there were times we could not get into the restaurant, and had to wait a very long time to get a drink...what they said is they sympathise with us ,but it wasnt their fault the hotel was full....well it certainly wasnt ours.and one of the reasons we come away in october, is that it is normally very quiet, and thats what we like....I have come to the conclusion, that JET 2 have little customer care, and once they have the money, then its tough if you dont get the holiday you paid for...i would like to hear anyone elses feedback, and wonder if they had been compensated, booking the same holiday, but with a different company....paul...birmingham

My partner and I stayed in the Akti Imperial between 10th - 17th September 2018. In terms of weather, this is still a perfect time of year for sun seekers. By 10am (when the pool opens) the sun is high in the sky. The days are hot and the evenings are cool but definitely no need for a jacket at any point! When we arrived at the hotel around 10pm on our first day, we were greeted with complimentary drinks as we checked in. The reception staff are extremely helpful and provide you with all the information you will need for the duration of your stay. As we had arrived late after a long flight it was great that the buffets at the pool bars stay open late so we were able to get some food and a drink and watch the Monday night entertainment. All the staff at the Akti Imperial are very friendly and helpful! We had a double room with a partial sea view (paid for garden view so this was a nice surprise!) and the view was beautiful. The sea is crystal blue and on a clear day you can see Turkey in the distance. The rooms are lovely and modern and fitted with everything you would need. Tea and coffee facilities, free mini bar (with beer, wine, water and juice refilled daily), very comfortable bed and a bathroom with a waterfall shower. The pools are lovely and there are plenty of sun beds, so no getting up at 7am to fight for them before breakfast! Although the pools are great, it is the beach that really won me over. This is a pebbly beach so definitely worth getting some sturdy sandals/crocs. There are plenty of sun beds on the beach too so again, no need to worry about getting out there too early! The beach is huge and the water is beautiful and clear. The beach also has a bar (no food or alcohol at this one) and is so so quiet. Definitely my pick if you want a peaceful, relaxing day in the sun! When you arrive at the hotel you are given a free voucher for a 15 minute massage in the spa, this can be used on its own or as a discount for a longer service. We both had a 45 minute back, shoulder and scalp massage for 55€ each with the discount. This is definitely worth it if you fancy it! ***FOODIES*** The food at the hotel is lovely and as it is all inclusive, you will never go hungry and each meal has something for everyone. As part of your stay you get the option to have one evening meal at each of the four restaurants. We chose to book two restaurants as we were planning on eating out in the Old Town and Lindos for two nights as well. We chose to eat at the Italian and Greek restaurants and they were fantastic (especially the Greek). The restaurants serve set courses of 10 dishes to share between two, so I recommend not eating too much in the day if you plan on going to these! I HIGHLY recommend the Greek restaurant (of course) as you get to try 10 Greek dishes which were all equally delicious and included in the price of your stay! The Greek food I would definitely recommend you find elsewhere is a Gyros! As this is typically a takeaway food you will find the best ones at a takeaway, there is no point ordering this at a restaurant as it is definitely not as good. The Akti Imperial is located in Axia/Ialysos and so getting there from the airport only takes 10/15 minutes. We didn’t see the need in paying for a transfer and so got a taxi from the airport, this cost 20€. The location of the Akti Imperial is brilliant! It is only a short taxi journey (10 minutes for 11€) into the Old Town where there is plenty to explore! Most taxi drivers are extremely helpful and will point things out to you, I.e what area you are in, where the bus station is, how to get to different tourist spots etc. You can also get a bus from Rhodes to Lindos Village which will cost 5.50€ and takes just over an hour (definitely worth it). Lindos is beautiful with plenty to explore. If you want a typical Greek, Mamma Mia style village, that is definitely Lindos! We spent the day there, a few hours at the beach first of all (10€ for two sun loungers and a parasol for as long as you want) and then a few hours exploring. From what I saw, if you’re looking for a beach holiday, Lindos is not the place for it. It is a stunning village with a gorgeous Mediterranean beach that is most definitely worth visiting, but unless you fancy getting a bus down to the beach every day and paying 10€ a day for a sun lounger I would stay somewhere on the North of the island where resorts like Akti Imperial are! The only negative comment I could make to the Akti Imperial is that the lifts are very slow and some of the buttons don’t work. In one of the lifts you can’t press floor 7 (which was the floor we were on) and because the lifts take such a long time, people press all the buttons to get one, which means the lifts then stop at every floor on the way down. However, the hotel overall cannot be judged based on its lifts as this is something I sure anyone could deal! A brilliant stay for sure. If we decide to come to Rhodes again, Akti Imperial will be our first choice!

Me and my family visited this resort in October for me and my wifes aniversary. Special thanks first of all to the reception staff (especially vicky)and the manageress before we start for giving us a holiday we'll never forget. Rooms- amazing facilities with mini bar that's stocked up every day, room cleaned every day changing sheets every other. Fresh towels and slippers provided on entering and room was second to none. Views from the room we were specially given made the week even in the thunderstorm that hit mid way. Food halls- there are a gud number of restaurants to go to and tapas themed ones one the night time with Greek, Italian and asa in. Food was well cooked nothing went cold and mostly hot and fresh. Main restaurant manager is also very kind. Asking after our son when he wasn't well and showing he loves his job. Pools- was more than enough for us due the the time we went with it being close season as was quite quiet so more than enough. Lifts- no probs but was quite season. Wish I could write more but I could go on but really a special hotel lovely staff and top manageress. Thankyou and we will be going again

Could not fault this hotel at all. Room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Food was varied, always hot and complimented by friendly service from the waiters and waitresses. We had a sea view room which I would recommend over the rooms to the sides and try to get one of the higher floors if you can.Sunbeds around the pools were plentiful which you would expect for the time of year (stayed 18th to 25th October). Sunbeds also supplied on the beach but didn't use these.Nice walk along the coastal path/road to Rhodes Town (about 2 miles) which helps to keep the weight off from the 24 hour all-inclusive on offer at the various bars and restaurants. Visit to Rhodes Town is a must and taxis are 8 euros if the walk is too much.Lots of shops in the new town as well as the touristy shops and restaurants in the old town.Entertainment in the hotel was good, both the resident entertainers and the visiting acts. Ask for branded drinks in the bars otherwise you'll get the local varieties.Would definitely go back to this hotel.
