Visited for 7 Nights, the hotel was great, very friendly staff and lots of options for food and drink and activities to do if inclined to do so. The private pools that come with rooms or the public outdoor pools are not heated so it is cold getting into them, once in though they are nice. the indoor pool is too small and constantly have children running in and jumping off sunbeds into the pool and causing a nuisance so best to go to it early in the day. The spa is very nice and you get a 15 minute sample massage which you need to book in the first 2 days. other than that is is a little pricey for what is offered. The food options are great either from the main restaurant or the pool bar (didn't try the special bookable ones). only issue was sometimes difficult or takes time to get a drink order for the table when eating in the evening (options of water, Beer or Wine). Before going recommend looking online for car hire prices to get the best offers. although taxi's/buses are cheap supprising how cheap it is to hire a car. Also be careful in rooms and around site for wet floors, don't walk about bare foot as likely to slip over.

We stayed here with friends. Hotel put us in room next to each other as requested. We had the rooms with the pools which are very spacious and clean. Staff were friendly especially Karolos, Arta and Theodora. Food was very nice with plenty of choice my only criticism would be men having to wear long trousers. This is a ridiculous rule when you are allowing men to wear jogging bottoms and sports wear.

My wife and I, overall, had a very nice stay in this hotel and I did read many “trip advisor” reviews before going. It is always interesting to see whether any of the downside reviews hold any water. There was this on and off stink wafting across the hotel which I understand was from a local sewage farm and when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction it does whiff. Other than cold vegetables, because it is displayed directly under the air conditioning, I thought the food was very acceptable. I did mention the cold vegetables thing to the chef and the situation improved greatly after that. I was very worried by reading Trip Advisor about overbooking as this seemed to be mentioned more than once, luckily, we did not experience this but we met one or two people that did and quite rightly they were not happy. However, I would say to the management of the Kresten Royal please visit room 715 and take a look at the shower room floor and then perhaps reduce the five-star status that you boast to one star. I did not complain about this to the hotel as there would have been nothing they could have done to rectify this during our stay there, but I have photos. I am happy that the floor was not dirty, but my goodness how can you seriously allow that kind of grubbiness to be present in a five-star hotel? Jet2 must take some of the blame for this as they advertise all this on behalf of the hotel so they should really check what they are advertising. I have to say comments I read about the food being “samey” does not hold up, the food was fine, after all there is only so many dishes and establishment like this can conjure up night after night and overall I thought they did a pretty good job. I think sometimes people need to book half-board or even B and B where you then have the extra choice of eating out in the local town etc. This would have probably been a good idea for us but I didn’t pay enough attention to the situation of the hotel, it is in a place where, of an evening you cannot stroll to the local town. Rhodes Town is 6 kilometres north and very much worth a visit Faliraki is 10 kilometres south, and you wouldn't particularly want to go there. Having said all that the staff, cleaners, waiters and bar staff in the Kresten Royal were all wonderful and we did enjoy our 10 days at the Kresten Royal.

Have been back a week now from this fab hotel, it's lovely and clean, the rooms are nice and spacious and the food was lovely and something for everyone .... a must is the Italian and Greek a la cartel which was truly lovely .... a bottle of wine is placed on the table when you sit down but be aware that you will be charged for this ... if you just ask for a glass of wine then it's in your all inclusive ...... we just went down to the bottom pool for pastries and coffee for breckie (opens at 10am) as we found we enjoyed lunch more in the main restaurant but the snack bar also offered a good choice ..... yes there is a drain type smell when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction but we could cope with it as it was only occasionally ...... well worth a visit into Rhodes old town at night as it is so pretty .... would definitely recommend this hotel and would return .... not a 5* but a good 4+ .... all the staff are very friendly and accommodating .... my only little gripe was the prices in the spa ... way too high but that's just my opinion .... funny how they could knock 50% off on a rainy day (only had 1 which was day we were leaving) .... which tells me they were too high in first place ... hey ho .... hope to see you all next year x

This is a great hotel. We are still there! The staff are pleasant and welcoming . The food is exquisite and the rooms spacious and clean. We had rooms together as a group which was great . We don’t want to go home . Please try the Greek and Italian restaurants - wonderful If we come to Rhodes again we are booking this hotel.

We have spent very relaxing 5 days! The food is tasty and variety spoiled us!. Ask for room 210...Amazing private pool. Very friendly staff! We used Spa and the girls are so professional. We will be back for sure!

Although I was staying at the Kresten Palace, I did spend a lot of time at this hotel during the day as my family were staying here. From what I could see the hotel itself was very clean. A lot of the rooms here have private swim up pools, but when you have two pools to choose from (one salt water and one freshwater) do you really need to have your own. I was originally supposed to stay at this hotel and will definitely do so in the future so that I can find out about their food!

My wife and I came for a three week holiday. Week 1, the wedding of my nephew and week 3 our Pearl wedding anniversary. Our stay started badly with no room on the first night and we were shipped out to a separate hotel! Not what was expected but I had read other people's reviews where this has occurred. Whilst at the hotel we were at reception and noted three other guests having to decamp for the first night. In these cases all were offered free WiFi and room upgrades during the rest of their stay. We only were given free WiFi, we were annoyed by this inequity. However we came for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday and this was what the hotel provided. Although fully booked it never felt crowded and there was always room in the facilities, around the pools and on the sunbeds at the beach. All the staff were fantastic and we always asked to sit in Maria's area in the restaurant as she was always happy and professional, a pleasure to be around. The spa provided excellent massages and treatments if rather pricey. We would stay again as long as the bath didn't leak leaving the bathroom like a paddling pool, standing in water whilst using the hairdryer is rather disconcerting! and having to fill the bath using the shower attachment as the control between the tap to shower wouldn't work as it was too stiff to move. Ok, only little niggles but not what you expect when you pay for 5* luxury

Really enjoyed our stay at the Krestan Royal. Very happy to have got a room upgrade and had a private pool. The room was a great size, clean and the beds/pillows were comfortable. The hotel is well laid out and our room was convenient for all facilities. The view is stunning. Also the hotel is not far from Rhodes town be transfer time from airport is not too long. All of the staff were pleasant and helpful. The dining room is pleasantly air conditioned and the dining manager shows you to you table. We never had to wait to be seated. There was always something nice to eat at every meal and they have theme nights like Chinese style buffet. We went to the Italian and Greek nights too and really enjoyed both. There was a variety of entertainment every night from live music, dancing display and quizzes. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and think we will go back to Krestan Royal.

The hotel is situated a long way off the main road down a steep road ,not good for pushchairs or wheel chairs also if your not to good on your legs. The hotel is very clean nice bedroom and bathroom. But the main problem was the food,it was awful. Both in the main restaurant and the snack bar (Porta Di Mare Taverna) The food was never hot very often un edible ,we had eat out a lot just to get hot food It is no were near five star, on one occasion I complained about the soup not being hot and was told by the head waiter he would put it the microwave for me? The main pool was to deep and the water was freezing no good for children ,the other pool was saltwater and the floor was very slippy we saw several people slip over .There was also a smell of sewerage at most times. The other thing you are miles away from shops bars etc Very very disappointed altogether .
