My husband and I were delighted to find this hotel on our trip around Rhodes. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was beautifully laid out and equipped and had a lovely view of the acropolis. The icing on the cake was the food, which was both great to look at and tasted delicious. Fabulous.
Just returned from here. Reading other reviews it seems this hotel is a place of 2 halves where some rooms have been refurbished and others haven't. Our room, whilst spacious and clean was very basic and dated with no character atall, no curtains or pictures just white walls. The Kitchenette was basic, no sharp knives, no egg cups or cooking utensils. Usually when staying self catering, i expect some basic things eg soap/washing up liquid, tea towels, cloths, but there was nothing. Also no complimentary bathroom soaps or shower gels etc. The room was also noisy, paper thin walls and lots of noise from outside and a nearby farm with an enthusiastic cockeral doing its thing at 4am, meaning i had to buy ear plugs! The main problem though was the beds- Rock hard and i mean ROCK hard, it was like sleeping on concrete. I actually have sores. The linen was grim, a white sheet and an orange blanket. Everything in this hotel is extra, including air con, priced at 67euros for a week. Pool area ok but broken and old sunbeds. The only positive was the restaurant which did good food and a good location. Maybe the newer rooms are better but i would not book this hotel again , mainly because of the beds!
We stayed for a week in mid-October, and it really was a wonderful, relaxing experience. We had a room in the building at the front, House of Hearts, with a great view of the Acropolis, day and night. And even though the main road was close by, the road noise did not penetrate the room. As for the room itself, wow, a walk in rain shower with enough room to throw a party, there were a fridge and a kettle, the beds were extremely comfortable, but we never did try the jacuzzi bath, next time, and it did not seem at all strange having the wash basin in the room. And the room was kept spotlessly clean throughout our stay. We had dinner in the restaurant the night we arrived and on one other evening, and on both occasions the food was really good, after that we had a couple of lunches, and as for breakfast it was a really refreshing change not to have to battle it out at a buffet. There was a really good a la carte selection for breakfast and all beautifully presented. As for the staff, they all made you feel really welcome and that it was their pleasure to serve you and they could not have been more helpful, which enhanced the whole experience of staying there.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Room was a very good size and clean. The shower in the bathroom was the best shower I have ever had!! It was so powerful. Our room had it's own patio area with clothes drying airer which was handy. All rooms appeared to have their own balcony or patio area. Friendly staff at hotel and nice bar area with nice lighting. The hotel is in a great location with about a 20 minute walk to beach and 10-15 minute walk to the square and restaurants and shops of the lovely village of Lindos. Small supermarket/shop only few mins walk away. There are plenty of lovely restaurants in the village with great views of the Acropolis which is lit up at night. We were self-catering so did not eat at the hotel apart from the day of our arrival we had some snacks (the hotel is thoughtful as provides a small choice of food for late arrivals until 11:30pm). There are also a few bars/cafes/restaurants at the top not far from hotel. After my partner had started to get a bad back after third night, we lifted up the mattress and noticed there were slats missing on his side of the bed. I mentioned this to the receptionist and within a couple of hours the handy man had attended and fixed this, so very good service. The Only negative really (which is only a small gripe so hotel still warrants 5 star rating) is that there was no hand soap left for us. I presume it's because we were self-catering, but other places I have stayed (outside of Greece) have always provided this. We just had to buy some from the supermarket just a few mins walk away (which is expensive but has the essentials), so it was the most expensive bar of soap I have ever bought! Towels are provided though. Handy to note that the hotel sells packs of 6 x 1.5 litre bottles of water for 2.90 euros which is reasonable. Hotel has pools, did not use as went to the beach every day, but the pools looked nice with good pool side lounging areas. The beaches are fab in Lindos and great for snorkelling and had lovely weather for out stay during second week of October. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
We booked here for the night so we could see Lindos in the evening Great location in the main road Easy to park up especially as during the day when its really hard to park given all the day Visitors Lovely room with comfy beds and really. Lovely decor Breakfast was lovely the best I have had in a long time husband had the full English and I had the avocado with egg came with fresh juice and choice of hot drinks Would def stay again and well worth the visit at night to avoid the crowds during the day
Firstly loved the fact this was walking distance to Lindos village apx 10-15 minutes. Lovely view over Acropolis and was a lovely boutique hotel. Food was amazing At breaky and loved the fact there were 2 pools and wasn’t crowded. Friendly staff and nothing was ever a problem. Clean rooms and we lived our stay here.
Stayed here for a week and we had a great experience. The room was kept spotless and it was a lovely room, refurbished ground floor room which was great as it meant it was shaded from the afternoon onwards so we didnt have to pay the expensive air con so it worked a treat as it cooled down enough in time for returning from having dinner in the village. Staff were all great, had two little issues which were sorted straight away with also being felt as a valued customer. Pool area is fantastic kept spotlessly clean and the pools were great too, they could just do with new sunloungers though, the ones they have although do the job could do with being replaced and I think a lot of guests would appreciate that considering the amount of time you are on them. Only ate twice for breakfast which again was very good just a bit expensive. Great location and based on our experience we would return as lindos is just a beautiful place.
Stayed at this beautiful hotel from 7th September to the 21st in room 623. All the people that worked at the hotel were exceptionally friendly couldn't be more helpful. The food was exceptional. I have never tasted better. The pool s were lovely and clean. The cleaning staff kept my room spotless. Everyone works so hard and have had the best holiday ever and without a doubt will be back. Thank you to all at the Lindos View Hotel xx
not very happy on my return to these apartments after having been here two years ago. the main reason after booking 15 months in advance a high floor and rooms together requested, we were told could not be done but we did have refurbished rooms however on ground floor in different blocks. when we asked next day to be moved my friend was told we would have to pay 50 euros, we said no i think someone is trying to make some extra money. staff not very happy, no good customer service. beds not made up and my friends bed sheet was full of grease. the hotel is in a fantastic location with fantastic views but im afraid the staff let this place down. we travel to greece a lot and this hotel is the least friendliest we have been to wont be back in a rush.
I liked this place but felt they could have done so much better. Lindos is amazing and the hotel location excellent with a wonderful view of the acropolis. It was our first time here and my expectations were far exceeded. Rooms were clean albeit a bit dated and were tended to every day by maid service. Couple of things to note - air con is extra - almost €70 a week. In fact a lot is extra - local tax and safety deposit boxes. WiFi is only in one small area near the bar and is patchy. When booking I was asked if we would like a sea view and/or and first floor room and I requested both. We were accommodated in a ground floor room at the very back with absolutely no outlook. Not a problem but why ask!! Furthermore, we had a noisy family next door and were kept awake at night for half the week. When we asked to be moved we were expected to pay €50. You’d think they would be more accommodating and just move us as a gesture of good will but they were difficult and unaccommodating. Unfortunately as a result I wouldn’t return as there Is a huge choice of places and will try somewhere else.
