beautiful apartment in Rhodes old town

George & Alexandra were the perfect hosts. We were a day late due to the ferry from Marmaris being postponed for a day. We contacted them by email and they assured us “No problem to change booking dates” George came to pick us up at the port, just as well because my wife was so seasick from the rough ferry ride from Marmaris that she could hardly walk! Alexandra even got one of her doctor friends to give my wife a check over as she was so badly affected. Much appreciated and she soon recovered. Alexandra greeted us with a nice bottle of red wine and George supplied us with fresh bread and butter till we got our own supplies. The apartment was a real find! They have converted a 700 year old building into several beautifully renovated, spacious apartments. Alexandra allowed us to take our pick of the apartments as it was the low season and we were the only guests at that time. The location was fantastic - right in the middle of the old town. We really enjoyed our stay wandering around the narrow, cobbled mediaeval streets. At times we felt like the only tourists on the island and after 6 days we felt like locals. We were originally booked for 3 days but enjoyed the old town of Rhodes so much we stayed for 6. We booked a taxi to take us to the airport when we left but George took us because the taxis didn’t like the narrow streets. Thank you George & Alexandra for looking after us so well. We’ll be back!
