Eden Roc Resort Hotel - All Inclusive4.0 out of 5.0

Without a doubt the best all inclusive food I have ever tried. A la carte options for every meal, including breakfast, and six different restaurants in the evening plus the buffet for all meals is almost baffling. Along with that comes around five bars. The hotel itself somewhere shows that is has some decades on its back, but it has been somewhat renovated. The rooms were fine with wood paneling and fancy forest wallpapers but the bathrooms showed some age. All was clean and fine though. A/C didn't really cool very much. They have four pools, one being reserved for the fancy pool room bungalow people. Here in the low season we always found available sunchairs somewhere. Also a small beach in a cove, although rocks instead of sand so it hurt like h... to walk there. Very sweet staff and never any issues with anything. Didn't really speak great English but we were understood for our needs. Things to improve: Walls and doors are paper thin in the main hotel. If your neighbors are screaming babies or loud singing French women, well then they are your room mates. I always bring earplugs so I could sleep for them, but guess you can really lose out here. On windy nights we also experienced some crazy howling winds from the A/C. Bread and juice really isn't their fortè. I would have liked more fresh bread and fresh non artificial juices. All in all minor blemishes on a great hotel. 90%, converted to 4 1/2 stars and rounded up to 5 stars cause they don't do half stars here.
Just returned home from a wonderful relaxing week at the Eden Roc, the staff are fantastic, the food and choice of food is amazing. Would we go back? Absolutely. Rhodes town is a short bus ride away and is definitely a must do.
Loved this hotel, so big we didn’t have to leave if we didn’t want to. Can’t wait to go back!! All staff were very helpful. George (from around the main pool) was my favourite member of staff who was very funny- along with Francesca and Lorenzo from the entertainment team! So many restaurants to choose from and the food was amazing! Highly recommend this place, and would rate it 5* !!!
Had a short stop at this resort, we arrived late and it took about an hour to get to our rooms. The reception and the staff looked lost and didn’t know which direction to direct us. Breakfast overcrowded and very noisy. The location is far from airport or the city centre. Maybe a good place if you want to stay isolated from outside world.
We spent two weeks at this wonderful hotel in May 2019.(4th to 18th) The first week the weather was mixed from cool and sometimes windy to some decent sunshine. Week two was hot with temps approx 24 degrees or more and sometimes a most welcome light breeze. This is an all inclusive hotel with a large buffet restaurant and several speciality restaurants that you need to pre book - something very well worth doing as the dining experience is truly excellent. Wherever you eat, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner you will not be disappointed as the food is excellent and the service equally excellent. The bars are well stocked and the service is generally good but occasionally, at busy times, there may be a short queue but of course in the restaurants and buffet the staff will serve you so that makes life very easy and pleasant. The champagne bar opens daily at 6pm - don't miss this as there are a good variety of champagne based cocktails or straight champagne if you prefer. The barman is really great, always smiling and very courteous as are the ladies that support him and happily deliver your drinks to you. The hotel has a number of swimming pools including an olympic size one (with lifeguard) plus one for children and two others. It also has its own private beach with many sun loungers many of which were updated during our stay. Beach towels are available and free. There is also an excellent massage/therapy facility plus hairdressing and other services. The resort comprises of a hotel plus two storey apartments and a "bungalow" area with its own pool and bar. We had a ground floor apartment with a large double bed, bathroom with bath, shower and WC plus a lounge area with sofa and TV and outside there was a small veranda with a table and 4 chairs. Tea & coffee making facilities plus a free mini bar and a free safe were also included. There is a very decent and well stocked shop within the main hotel with good prices so if you run out of essentials they are easily replaced. Another plus is the main reception - always several staff available who are courteous, knowledgable and extremely helpful. Overall this hotel delivers exceptional value for money but for us the outstanding aspect was the fantastic team of people who continually delivered great service and always with a smile - a big thank you to each and every one of them.
Firstly our room. we stayed in a superior eden roc room with sea veiw. room which has apparently recently been upgraded, room is nice but silly little things let it down. toilet seat not fitted properly so falls all over the place, no where next to the kettle to plug it in so u have to move it and put it on the floor, no maiden to hang wet clothes outside, AC is very noisy and sometimes doesn't work too well, shower screen isnt long enough so floor gets soaked when taking a shower and this cant be avoided as the tap is in the middle of the wall rather than at the bottom end, our bathroom flooded and we had to call maintenance as the water was coming into the room from the bathroom, the tap that has the water running to the toilet constantly leaked, we had a rusty metal table on balcony. on the plus side tho the bed is super comfy and the housekeepers do a lovely job cleaning, even nice little touches like laying ur pjs out on the bed and u can have ur mini bar restocked daily. Food/restaurants lots to choose from but u have to book the a la carte ones in advance, I downloaded the app but wasnt able to secure a booking. we had lunch in the one by the beach- buffet one, but all the flys put me off, the food should be covered over like they are in the pool snack bar. the main buffet restaurant has lots of choice for all meals but I found waiting to be seated was unnecessary- let people find there own tables unless it's really busy which it wasnt when we went. they do themed nights which is a good idea but for example on the fish night, EVERYTHING had fish in it,even down to the rice dish and salad dishes, as someone who doesn't like fish I ate chips from the kids section on a roll- so a chip butty. the restaurant is clean inside and they are very quick to clear ur plates away however outside is very dirty and i dont think brushed and mopped- a cup was smashed out there in the morning and was still there in the evening (pic 1) the grounds Beautiful and well maintained inside in the lobby and lounge tho its old an needs repainting where paint is coming off the walls. the pool areas. there is only really 1 main pool area (there is a small kids pool which is no deeper than 2 feet, this is next to the main pool, there is a pool with slides, but over the other side of the hotel, and a pool in the bungalows but only to be used for people in them bungalows) the tiles around the main pool and kids pool are all cracked and loose,I tripped on one of them but thankfully my partner saved my fall (pic 2) but I still twisted my ankle a little bit, it's a heavily used walk way and I'm surprised I didnt see any major accidents. also this area never seemed to be cleaned, I saw a plate of food spill onto it and 2 days later the stains from the sauces where still on the tiles. the beach. the hotel is right on it's own private beach with sunbeds included for free- even in may u would see people going down at 6am to secure there favourite spot- and no they wernt German they were English! not a problem while we were there as there was plenty of beds but for summer this really is something the hotel should crack down on, they do have signs saying not to and towels will be removed after an hour but no one enforced it. they need to supply ashtrays around the sunbeds as everyone just puts them out on the floor, also the beach is not sand it is stones so u get really dusty and the stones hurt so bring some water shoes with u, that's a must. beach towels are provided for free and u can swap them daily so u dont need to pack a beach towel. from the beach u can rent pedlo, ski jets and other things and a glass bottom boat picks up here- we did the boat and it was lovely. dont get the hotel to order u taxi as it costs an extra €3 for them to come to the hotel, a call out charge. instead walk over the little bridge at the side of the hotel and up the steep slope to where there are a few shops and there is 2 guys one was called Mike- they do hire car, private taxi, shuttle buses and Express buses and boat trips cheaper than the tours offered from the hotel. we went to Rhodes town for €6 each return and the bus only stopped at one other hotel. Kalithea springs was €10 return and we chose what time to be picked up,Mike is a lovely guy who will do all he can for u but in the heat walking up the hill is a killer. on site shop. sells everything, snacks, beach toys, drinks, clothes, alcohol u name it they sell it. they also sell cigarettes but if u want a large quantity u have to give them a day or 2 notice. the staff in here are lovely also. when we booked the hotel I asked about late check out- I have many conditions that often means I will need to sleep during the day so being able to do that was an essential as our flight wasnt until late evening. I was told on the Friday it wasnt available as someone was checking into our room at 2pm. then she said she could offer us a room for an hour to shower and to come in the morning I then said we didnt leave till Sunday (so someone checking in to our room was not true!) we then enquired sat evening and were told no rooms were available but they would offer us a bungalow- free of charge. this was great news, however when we got in it I see why it was free. maybe these just havent been updated yet but there is paint flaking off the wall everywhere( pic3) and the room smelt of mouldy wood,on inspection it was mouldy wood- we dumped our cases and headed to the beach. all the staff are fabulous they are so friendly and happy to help and the manager is on site between restaurants from what seems like 7am till 11pm and is always very chatty and the housekeepers are amazing, mostly female and they are washing windows with huge extensions and can never do enough for u. sadly from my point of veiw I would class this as a 3 star hotel. if they shut it down over winter and did a lot of work to it then it could be a 4 star again but as it is it needs a lot of remedial work and freshening up.
Spacious rooms, comfortable beds and above all exceptionally clean. Great facilities to help you enjoy your stay. Food is sensational and you have a choice of different restaurants providing a variety of cuisines. All staff are very friendly and obliging
We returned home on the 15th May from Eden Roc Hotel. Eden Roc resort was fabulous. Everywhere was very clean and all the staff made you feel very welcome. They were all very friendly and made us feel like part of the family, especially Dionysia (in the pool bar) and Alexandra (in the Dikti bar). Before we went to Eden Roc I emailed Mr Stavros (hotel manager) about a special request I had and he went above and beyond throughout my stay. Also it was good to see Mr Stavros walking around the hotel and making sure everything was top notch. The food was excellent. There was so much choice and so many places to eat at, at all hours of the day! You could get WIFI almost anywhere in the hotel but the WIFI could be improved when in the room as mine kept on dropping and I had to reconnect. Overall a great resort and hope to visit back soon! :)
We arrived at the hotel after 1.5 hour delay to a lovely welcome from reception staff and a well needed welcome drink. I emailed the hotel previously before our stay and requested a sea/pool view in the main hotel, and they delivered, our view was perfect, very pleased we stayed in the main building, it suited our needs, the room was very clean, bed very comfortable, Food was lovely, lots of choice. Eden Roc stands out from the rest with there choice of restaurants that you can eat in, it feels like you are going out to a different restaurant every night, The Mediterranean stands out from the rest, food ombiance staff 100% The only one that disappointed us was the grill in the evening, in the day was good, they seemed very rushed in the evening, and food let them down, but others that we spoke to enjoyed. We had a feel queries in regards to the mini bar, which were resolved by the reception staff, You have a safe in the room which is free, You didn't have to get up early in the morning to secure a sun bed, there was always a space available for you. Not so sure how this will be in full capacity. Now on to the staff.... Dimitris in the beach bar was so funny and made our stay enjoyable, I'm sorry for the other residents if we were (slightly loud) we had some great laughs every evening there, met a lot of lovely couples and family's. Stavros the hotel manager is always on site for any issues if you have any, and will if he can accommodate you. Martina from the entertainment team always came round to speak and interact with us, only one thing hat I think can be better is if they have other nationalities in the entertainment team so they can interact with everyone as seems to be lots of nationalities staying in the hotel we visited kalithea springs by taxi from the hotel which was 6 euro's and 3 euros admission fee, was very peaceful and relaxing. Eden Roc we had a blast and will return next year.
We came here as a group of friends for 5 nights, arriving on the 10th May late evening. We were greeted with a glass of champagne on arrival & a bottle in one of the rooms as we were away celebrating a birthday. The food was fantastic during our stay & would highly recommend the Italian restaurant! Two people that made our stay absolutely perfect - Valeria at the bar who once she knew we liked “Sweet Freddo’s” always brought one to our sun beds when coming round the pool to take drink orders. We didn’t even need to ask! Such a shame we didn’t get to say goodbye as she was sick on our last day. Finally not forgetting George at the Champagne Bar - always smiling, very chatty - also goes above & beyond. It was an absolute pleasure to be able to meet these two staff in particular & they definitely made our stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely be returning! The rooms are brilliant & the views fantastic! Thankyou for a wonderful holiday.
