The hotel itself is set in the hills of Faliraki around a 15-20 minute walk from the beach and main strip. The restaurant is very swish, clean and offers a great range of food for all inclusive guests with a good choice of soft and alcoholic drinks. The pool is big enough to not get overcrowded with plenty of sunloungers spaced out around. The mini waterpark has a great selection of slides suitable for kids and adults. The room is a little basic, bathroom is on the small side but has everything you need especially as you dont want to spend your holiday in the room. The staff are very friendly ranging from reception, cleaners and bar/restaurant staff. The management team are a constant presence around the hotel and are both very polite Have to give a big shout out to the entertainment team who really go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable, they are all so approachable and friendly. The entertainment at night was always worth watching each night and has a good variety of shows. Special mention has to go to Michael who always comes over and greets you each day. Michael has a great knack for making you feel welcome and valued even off shift. He always lets you know what activities are on for each day and entertainment for the night and he really impacted our stay in a positive manner. He really is a great member of the entertainment team with a variety of qualities Another mention for Clement who has a great personality and is always up for a laugh and really puts a smile on your face.
The hotel and accommodation is beautiful, exceptionally clean and well presented with a modern, warm and relaxing atmosphere. Our accommodation consisted of two very large rooms with air conditioning, plenty of wardrobe space and clean fresh decor with plenty of lighting, plug sockets and mirrors. Large windows and patio doors gave access to beautiful views of the complex and pools and surrounding vegetation. The bathroom was large with a walk in shower, very powerful, vanity sink, toilet and plenty of room for toiletries. However what really made this holiday so incredibly wonderful we’re the staff. Each day the cleaning staff ensured we had clean bedding, towels and rooms. All done to a very high standard and by people who are happy, helpful and incredibly polite. The Grounds workers were also polite, welcoming and happy to help in any way. Management were exceptional. When they say they want you to feel like family they mean it. Roy and Enzo really do have your comfort and happiness at the top of their lists. I have never met a management team that puts the customer before profit until now. I could write for hours about these two men, my entire family will miss their happy and cheerful welcomes each meal time and their energy that ensured each moment mattered throughout each day and night. Now the food was beautifully presented and tasted fab. Plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables each sitting and a variety of cooked foods. Desserts were heavenly, a wide variety to suit everyone’s taste. A snack bar was open each day from 11:00 to 18:00 and provided plenty of ‘English’ treats and as much ice cream as you could eat! Overall the food was fantastic, themed nights made it fun. Entertainment: This was provided all day until 23:00 by two different teams. However we found ‘ The International Good Time Entertainment’ group to be just superb at communication, fun, involvement with guests and general quality of care. This team were remarkable at ensuring everyone on site felt important and welcome. Individuals such as Megan, Aylish, Filip and Michaela worked tirelessly to ensure we all knew what was happening, felt welcome and supported us to a very high standard. These four members certainly impacted our family in a positive way and became family. Pool activities and evening entertainment was always fun and emotive with these four people. Clement from club jumbo was hilarious and lovable, he, along with Megan and Aylish from Good time Entertainment, ensured all the children were appropriately engaged and gave them a level of importance that ensured the children engaged with activities and felt safe enough to ask, play and have fun from morning until bedtime! The shop on site is small but well stocked with snacks, drinks and various toys, clothes and souvenirs for everyone. The staff here were wonderful, two very hard working ladies with smiles on their faces and love in their hearts for all. I look forward to seeing them again. Overall this has been the best family holiday we have ever had, I have never seen my daughter break down sobbing from having to leave anywhere, but when Roy and Enzo waved us off on departure she just let go! We will most definitely be going back to The Cyprotel hotel and our new family. Love them all dearly for ensuring we had the best time ever.
I stayed with Cyprotel last Summer & had a fantastic experience, so as a trusted place of accomodation with a great reputation, we booked again to come back this year. To my pleasant surprise, it exceeded all of my already high expectations!! Since the moment we arrived, until our departure, the friendly Operations Manager, Roy, together with the wonderful Host Manager, Enzo, went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience possible. They knew everyone by name and had a strong rapport with all of us guests, making us feel most welcome and very well looked after. This was also reflected amongst all the other amazing hospitable hotel staff. The new changes to the hotel are absolutely fabulous! From the brilliantly modernised renovations of the restaurant, a fabulous new highly professional stage / production facilities for the incredibly talented entertainers and the cutest additions of Lollo and Bernie mascots for the Kid's Club, Cyprotel is a must stay for guaranteed family fun! I already look forward to another return!
We lived in September 2018. Family Room. Large room with two bedrooms. The arrangement corresponds to the class of the hotel. Large balcony with great sea views. We were impressed by the good food and choice of meals. We were all included. The area is large with several pools, its own water park. There are car parking places. The sea is not side by side. A great place for those traveling by car. Definitely recommend. We then lived in a 5 * hotel and were not so cozy there.
Hotel is set in a quiet area of town and walking distance from the sandy beach but hotel also offered you free shuttle bus. Cyprotel is located on a hill and has a picturesque view from the restaurant's terrace towards the sea and mountains. Hotel has a variety of food from different cuisine's, well prepared and fresh. We experienced amazing daytime and evening entertainment which changed daily. There has been offered numerous facilities such as Swimming pools with slides, tennis court, etc. Staff has been very friendly and helpful. Our room has been cleaned well and towels were replaced every day. Our double bedroom has very simple design, bunk bed for kids, facilities flat TV, kettle, hair drier, etc.
It's the worst hotel I've ever been to. Firstly, the food was disgusting, half of it was not fresh and had an odor. Secondly, wifi worked only at 3 in the morning when most of the guests were sleeping. Moreover, there was an incident. Our room was nice and comfortable, but one night my husband caught a big cockroach in our bathroom. The hotel manager blamed the climate. So strange. We had been to the Greese before and had never shared a bathroom with a cockroach. all in all, the hotel should be two-star-hotel. Where they got two extra stars I don't know.
Lovely hotel with great entertainment ! The staff are very friendly and always there to offer assistance. Lovely food and drinks ! Amazing location and set out lovely only fault we booked in the wrong month as rain and thunderstorms ! Also some shops and restaurants closed !
Lovely gardens spread over large area, lots of sun beds no need for early morning dash! This may not be the case in July August! This hotel did not have the prefix Sun Connect last year so well may have been sold to a new group, therefore standards may not be the same.. Last year the food was good and the rooms were basic but nice, we were near the outside dining area used for lunch and snacks. The main restuarant is upstairs (they have a lift which also goes to the roof bar) There is an alfresco area. Food was of a good standard. The evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss in an outside amphitheatre, the lighting in the outside areas is poor making card playing difficult. The three pools are all well maintained and there are outside showers. The children enjoyed the slides,. Sugar free drinks are not easily available, I used robinsons squashems in a variety of flavours with their soda. Faliraki town is down the hill a pleasant walk, a taxi back is 4 euros.
We visited the Cyprotel for the last week of the season. We visited Corfu last year at a similar time so we were aware that things would be closing but we didn’t realise it would be quite so bad ! On arrival the room we were given was right at the top of the hill (block 7000) and was very basic. Definitely not 4 star standard. We moved rooms the following day to a room closer to the pool. This room was very similar and again not to 4 star standard. The finish of the room was terrible. Skirting boards coming of the wall, gaps in the laminate flooring. We had ants nests in our room a few times and had to get someone to come and sort this out. Which to be fair they did swiftly. The bathroom also flooded and we had to wade through inches of water ! The hotel was closing down around us. I think they forgot they still had paying guests there. It did feel like we were just an inconvenience. Bins weren’t getting emptied, sun-beds were dirty and they were removing furniture from around us which doesn’t really make a very relaxing holiday. The food was very limited. The snack bar had already been closed down and all meals were served in the main restaurant. Things were running out and not being replaced, tea bags, ice cream cones and even plates and crockery on the last day! You had to use napkins. The animation team were poor. We didn’t really see much of them. They did a few things in the day, darts etc but in the evening they were terrible. Non existent. A 10 minute game of bingo or a quiz. We were really disappointed after reading some really good reports about this hotel. I don’t think we would visit again. We enjoyed Faliraki but not this hotel.
We spent a week in the hotel in October. Consider it’s a great value for money and choice for families with kids. Good entertainment, aqua slides and play room was the busiest corner at all times :) for not only kids but adults as well. Food needs some better choices, my personal opinion - they save on food. Rooms are basic but all you need. Beds are not very comfortable. Be ready to use a shuttle bus to the beach or walk about 15-20 min downhill and then back. In low season with moderate temperatures it’s a nice walk, but in summer heat - bus highly recommended. In Faliraki you will find much better choices to dine from time to time.
