The dinner was awesome. Victor was very courteous and friendly to deal with me and my friends at the dining table. Highly recommended

Location is fantastic for a first or last night in Iceland. Too bad restaurant did not do takeout or room service. Common area was very comfortable

Okay but very pricey. Nothing luxurious for over $350 per night. Wanted to stay close to Blue Lagoon which it was.

Great rooms and wellness spa/sauna. Also very close to the Blue Lagoon. The restaurant was also good. Check-in was ok. The person helping us was constantly distracted by multi-tasking for several other guests. He seems to be frazzled. Wasn’t that welcoming. Other than that, everything else was good

Northern Lights Inn was a gem! I will advise friends and clients to stay here, including a two-dsy stopover flight. Ziggu (nickname) was a gracious host proving transport to the nearby Blue Lagoon. Sadly transport from the airport or to Rekavik is horrible. A bus from the BL doesn’t start until 12:15. This is an Iceland public transportation problem, not the hotels around the BL.

The inn is in a surreal location, in the midst of an old lava field, adjacent to a huge geothermal facilities and the Blue Lagoon. Depending on which way the wind blows, you can often smell the sulfur in the air from the geothermal activity. The inn also has a large TV room, a living room with a fireplace (and chess board), and excellent food.

We paid more for other hotels but this was BY FAR our most comfortable stay in Iceland. The beds and bedding were so comfortable, we loved the “honor bar” with ice water and coffee for free. Breakfast was great, both hot and cold. The staff was wonderful. Exactly what we needed after a long flight!

Wonderful place to stay! Staff is very friendly and helpful

This was the cutest hotel ever. Very hospitable. My daughter loved the make your own waffles station in the afternoons. So close to the blue lagoon and within 20 min of airport. I just wish their restaurant stayed open paat 9pm

My husband and I stayed at the NLI for two nights while traveling about in Iceland. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. They got us reservations for our blue lagoon visit, and had a free shuttle to take us there as well as to pick us up. Dinner at Max’s restaurant was also exceptional. The food was delicious. We can’t wait to go back!

It is situated by a geothermal plant. Though it is a beautiful hotel inside, the surroundings are not very attractive.

We had a wonderful time here, just a short walk to the blue lagoon which was nice after a long flight. The rooms are very spacious and clean and the restaurant was fantastic.

Everything was clean and nice. Very close to the Blue Lagoon. One issue is the strong smell of sulfur in the room due to the geothermal activity in the area.
