My boyfriend booked two nights at this hotel for our anniversary. We wanted somewhere special and romantic and we got just that! My boyfriend called the hotel ahead of time to order a bouquet of flowers, and they were beautiful and sitting on the counter when we walked in. The hotel also gave us a bottle of champagne that was chilling in the fridge when we got there with a nice note wishing us a happy anniversary. We were also upgraded to a one bedroom suite rather than a studio, up on the top floor with a stunning view of the surrounding mountains and river. Thank you Sutton Place for making our anniversary a special one! We recommend this place to any couple looking to treat themselves!
This is very nice upscale place BUT what I didn't like (traveling with kids) is that even though their kitchen looks alright and nicely staffed the cooking range is so tiny and electric that once it took me 20 minutes to get milk to boil for oatmeal, I gave up cooking there afterwords. Also, some fancy Panasonic microwave was simply not working. Last, we were on top 8th floor so family members that slept on a pull out couch in living room have been listening to creaking roof noises since 5AM in the morning. Pool and tub is ok. Gym room is so-so.
We spent a couple nights at the Sutton Place passing through from Banff. These are privately owned apartments, operated by Sutton Place as hotel suites. Rooms are generally spacious and well-appointed with well-equipped kitchens including all the modern conveniences such as electric stovetop, wall oven, microwave, refrigerator / freezer, dishwasher and high-efficiency clothes washer / dryer. Outdoor decks are huge and would be perfect to sit out in the evening - as long as you have bug spray. Mosquitos are plentiful in this wooded setting once the sun sets. Staff are very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were spacious and modern. Showers are beautiful with tile and frameless glass doors, but very small. The bathtubs are large but if you're a big person, you may be disappointed in the rather small amount of real estate these showers provide. Housekeeping staff comes daily to do a quick wipe-down, make the beds, change the garbage and the towels and throw any dirty dishes / coffee pot into the dishwasher for you. The pool and hot tub are shared between 4 buildings and I would imagine get quite busy during busy summer weekends. There is a tiki hut at the pool for you to grab alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. While at the hotel, we checked out the pipe mountain coaster (highly recommended for all ages). It was a fun trip for us and the kids. Our only complaint was that the carpets were dirty with a few stains and remnant cheerios from a previous guest.
We won our stay at the Sutton through a New Years raffle in Vancouver. What a treat it really was. We would never be able to afford to stay here otherwise so thank you for making us feel so special. The suite was pleasantly decorated and kitchen was fully equipped with everything we could need. A coffee bean grinder would have been a great asset - there was a French press but no way to grind beans fresh and it's rare to find coarse-ground beans in the grocery stores. We were allowed to bring our dog, who quite enjoyed staying curled up by the fireplace while we skiied. The shower was on the small side as well. which is disappointing since the bathroom is enormous. It was fantastic to have a separate boot room with insuite laundry though for our ski stuff to dry, etc. I'm being picky though - this place really was great and we thought the service was just fine! Hot tubs were awesome! Storage lockers for skis were super convenient. Valet service great. Just great all around.
We could only stay one night here but wished we could have stayed a lot longer. We got an upgrade to a two bedroom suite, which was just stunning! Reception staff were excellent. We also got an upgrade for breakfast at the top of the gondola - see separate review. The suite was big with a central living room (complete with gas fire) and fully equipped kitchen and dining table. The bedrooms, both en-suite were located on either side of the living room. The master bedroom had double sinks a bath and shower. The room also has a clothes washer and dryer, provided with washing powder. There was a large balcony, with a table seating 6. Car parking is under the hotel, can't remember if there is a charge (probably was one). We used the outdoor pool and hot tub that is located in another building. This is a complex with shops and restaurants, although only one was open when we were there. Concierge gave good advice about hiking trails in the area and was very helpful.
Exceptional, spacious and very comfortable accommodations are just the beginning at Sutton Revy. Two adults, two kids and a 5 month puppy named Goon have had nothing less than fantastic interaction with the staff and other guests (and their dogs). The pool is very large, has two hot tubs and a bartender. The 1br suite is gorgeous and has an amazing view. The new pizza bar is amazing. Pets are welcome and have many designated areas they can romp and play. Parking is 100% underground. We can't wait to return for a snowboarding weekend!!
Have drive through Revlstoke en route, but decided to stay for 5 nights. Had a 2 b/room suite over looking the mountains. Room was large with wide balcony, good sized bathroom and kitchen was perfect. Clean and modern with everything you would need. Very cosy and imagine more so in winter time as has a fireplace. . Staff were cheerful and pleasant. Liked it so much have booked another stay. Also to mention the little town of Revelstoke is such a pretty place with coffee shops and bakeries and restaurants. Riverside walks and close to nature. Really lovely place, that we are both missing being around.
Had a one bed suite and it was excellent. Great views from the balcony and the room was well equipped. Great to have laundry facilites in the room. Some of the amenities were closed in June but would still return
Recently spent three nights at this hotel. The one bedroom suite was very clean and comfortable. Two TVs to pass the time away when not busy enjoying the lovely location. The room had a kitchen and washer/dryer which enabled us to cook some of our meals and too do a quick wash and dry before leaving. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Complimentary glass of wine in early evening was nice touch. Our second stay at a Sutton, both enjoyable.
Arrived at the sutton place hotel after a nice drive from Penticton... Hotel was great! Rooms were very well appointed, they even had a washer and dryer (needed after a few days of travelling!) Check-in was smooth and indoor parking was great, no charge for the parking either! Only stayed for one night but made use of the hot-tub located on the 3rd floor that has a great view of the mountains! Free breakfast box in the morning also helped with our onward journey.. this contained an orange, yoghurt and a muffin. A plastic spoon would help a bit though! Overall, great experience!
