The Sutton Place Hotel Revelstoke Mountain Resort4.0 out of 5.0

I just booked a week with this hotel during the ski season, "ski and stay", all inclusive. Except it's not. As soon as I booked it & paid for it, I got an email saying I would have to pay another $23.50 per room per night, "resort fee". That is sneaky, and bad business.
We were there in off season so the hotel was quiet. We stayed in the two bedroom suite and it was just beautiful, I was very impressed with the comfort and quality. Just the luxury I felt like! We ate in the restaurant next door, very nice food and a good range of wine. We also rode the Pipe and that was a lot of fun. But most of all I'd like to thank the staff for being amazing and going above and beyond. My daughter left her beloved Pooh Bear in the hotel lobby, we didn't realise until we were way too far away to turn back. We called and the staff arranged a courier to return him (see photo). To the amazing staff thank you, Pooh made it home and I have a very happy 10 year old.
Needed a hotel to break up the drive from Vancouver to Calgary and decided on Sutton Place. Sunday night before the ski season so hotel was quite empty which was nice. Staff at the front desk were very informative and were able to give us a government rate with my military ID which was appreciated. Room was clean, spacious and exactly what we were looking for. King bed was soft and sheets were the same. Would definitely recommend and will stay again if we need a place in Revelstoke.
Lovely hotel, very modern super friendly and welcoming staff. Child friendly. Received a room upgrade on arrival. Comfortable and clean rooms. Great kitchen and stocked with everything you would need. Plenty of eating areas around. Right in the centre of revelstoke resort so you don’t have to leave. Great amenities.
this hotel has the potential to be better. located at the base of the ski resort, the suites are all self contained with kitchens. we were intially given a one bedroom which had drywall repairs underway. got upgraded to a two bedroom. comfortable beds, plush towels, clean unit except for the condition of the carpets. heavily stained in our unit, the initial unit we were given and throughout the hotel...hallways, etc. would have rated this higher otherwise. not what we expect from the 'sutton place' brand. desk staff very pleasant, and helpful.
This large, ski-resort hotel is just a few minutes off the highway and south of the townsite. Definitely worth the time. During the off-season, the prices was quite low and so we booked. The rooms and suites are everything that you would expect of a five star resort and we recommend it highly for off-season stays. The price during the ski season is much higher. There were a few things we found odd: the bathroom have lovely plush towels, a heated floor, and a separate shower and bath, but no bathrobes and ho slow-close no-slam toilet seats. The kitchen unit had the largest fridge and freezer we have ever seen in a hotel room (and we have stayed in hundreds) but a tiny two-burner stove top and small bar sink. Go figure. But overall a fine place. Check the hotel's site before booking. The price on it was much cheaper that Expedia/Kayak.
Hotel about 10 minutes outside of the village of Revelstoke. We booked a 3 bedroom apartment for 4 adults and 3 children + 1 dog. It was fantastic. State of the art kitchen / lounge / 3 bedrooms ( 1 en-suite), all surrounded by a large balcony with outside seating. On site there is a outside pool, hot tub, restaurant, spa facilities, shop and bar. The restaurant food is gorgeous. Take a trip on the gondola and have breakfast on the top of the mountain - food and views exceptional, ride back down on the pipe ride - not for me but the younger members of the party loved it !
The hotel is located in the Alpine village at Revelstoke and therefore quite a bit outside of the village. This means if you want to have dinner you are either limited to the hotel restaurant or you need a car. The hotel itself is in very good conditions and the rooms are quite large with a decent living room and a good bed. The check-in process was quite long as there was only one person and the queue quite long. It was very obvious that the hotel was running on a off-season staff and was focused and bus tourists. It was still a good choice for a one night stop.
This resort is at a nice location with a restaurant right on site. There was a deli and a bar as well , but they were both closed when we were there. The restaurant was good and it was very handy to have it right there. This hotel is right on the ski hill , so good for skiers and those who want to ride the gondola/pipe which was awesome. The only reason this hotel is getting a three score is because of cleanliness. There was food on the carpet when we arrived (caramel corn and chips), so it obviously hadn't been vacuumed. There were lots of stains as well. The common hallway was really dirty too. The shower was not clean either.
The hotel is the only ski in-ski out option in Revelstoke. The various rooms are spacious with sll the amenities needed for a good ski holiday. You can either cook your own meal in the room or go to one of the food outlets in the resort. A perfect choice in Revelstoke.
