I stay in hotels quite regularly and even though this hotels hot tub may be a bit too hot, the beds are the comfiest I have ever slept in. Even moreso than my own bed at home. Soft pillows, even softer beds, super comfy covers. Nice room, new clean bathrooms, only thing id add is some more easily accessible plug ins.
The staff at the Sandman Hotel in Revelstoke were exceptionally helpful and accommodating in booking the rooms for our group and the boardroom for our meeting. They made us very welcome and the hotel was easy to get to.
I stayed at this property while attending a conference in town. The hotel has a very strange layout with two separate buildings. I stayed at the Monashee (the one in the back). The general impression is that the hotel is dated and the public areas are worn down. The door to the parking lot was not working. The rooms are very spacious, with good light and plenty of space. Free wifi is also a great plus. Bed is comfortable and pillows are on the soft side. The A/C unit and the fridge are quite noisy. There are other newer and nicer hotels in the area for similar price, but it is not a bad option for a short stay.
The management offered us a room with additional space at no extra charge, which made accommodating three adults and two young kids much easier on us—thank you! Very understanding and a pleasure to deal with.
Stayed multiple times here to ski. Ski and stay packages are great. Amenities are good, with two pools and two hot tubs (one each per building). One building has a Denny's inside if that's your thing.
We traveled with a large group and the hotel staff was so friendly and accommodating. Check-in was a breeze. The conference room facilities were the perfect set up for what we needed. The rooms were very clean and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Would stay here again for sure.
I quickly checked-in for a two-night stay at $225/night taxes in. I was located in the second building and it was easy to get there, that’s where the Denny’s is located also. Got $10 off breakfast for both mornings with booking, a nice touch. While the exterior looks terrible, rooms have been updated and mine was. Pleasently surprised, room was airy, clean and comfortable. Very good bedding, mini fridge & microwave, big hanger space, the WIFI was better than at Sutton Place for half the price. Bonus points for the rain shower in the bathroom. Doors slam unnecessarily though, should be fixed (creates too much noise). Hotel staff are exceptional : lady in evenings promptly printed me a pass for the town shuttle so I could get around, very knowledgeable. Single most efficient hotel staff I have encountered in Revelstoke. Next door neighbours were young, rowdy and drunk. Security took less than 5 minutes to intervene, which directly descalated the situation where all could get a good night’s sleep. The hotel understands this is a priority for all paying guests. Lastly, a very nice touch at checkout to keep luggage while skiing down last day’s runs - a hotel that caters to skiers, a nice touch. Highly recommended from all angles. Wish they had discounted rooms for solo travellers though, Europe is better at that.
Our second stay at the Revelstoke Sandman, it was great! The Revelstoke mountain Resort Shuttle stops 100 feet from the hotel, so once there, no need for a car. The shuttle carries on into the evening so dining out in town also easy with no car. Our suite was fantastic, a full kitchen, huge table for game playing, two baths, two king bedrooms! So a comfortable place to hang out for a group. Hotel has hot tub, pool, laundry facilities, all made it a great place to stay. Staff were all very friendly
We had a nice stay. 4 nights. Pool is nice. Clean room. Staff is great. Christina at front desk was very helpful and always smiling. Would stay here again for sure. Close to town and places to eat. Always had hot fresh coffee in the lobby. Kitchenette in our room. All and all was a great stay.
We paid over $230 for a room with one bed. I was shocked at the price, but many of the other motels were full so there was little choice left in town. For the price, I was expecting something great but alas, I was wrong. The people at reception were fine. The room was average, clean enough, but dingy carpeting. This room came with a small "kitchenette" although we did not ask for it. The counter was sticky, and the whole area around the kitchen had dried spills that were not cleaned up. So housekeeping staff was to blame in that regard. The worst part about this Sandman Hotel though is the fact that there is NO sound barrier between floors. We were on the ground floor and when the people above us walked it was very loud and disturbing. The people on the second floor were not running or jumping, just walking. This is definitely the fault of the Sandman Hotel and the quality of the hotel building.
