We stayed in the Elia room which with is partly below ground level, however as we didn't intend spending much time in the room this was not a problem. apart from not having many windows the room was well proportioned and had a great bed and bathroom. Breakfast was varied with optional hot eggs cooked as required , fruit, breads and everything you would expect. The hotel itself is 5 minutes walk from the main part of town and there are plenty of good restaurants within a few minutes walk. Parking when we were there was no problem in April but may be difficult in the high season, the area is quite safe day and night. To be recommended especially the very helpful and friendly staff.
Lovely hotel. Room was super clean. All facilities were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Advised us with places to go whilst touri ng Crete. Would we stay again? Yes!!!
It was a pleasure to stay at Casa Vitae. I was told that the property had previously been a private home, and it had the feel of staying in a small castle. There is a central courtyard where an excellent breakfast was served. Staff were friendly and helpful. The property is in midst of Old Town, and you can walk around cobblestone streets that don't allow cars. Best of all, the excellent and inexpensive restaurants in the neighborhood were filled with local people, and I felt that I experienced more "cultural immersion" than I do on many trips.
Our room was very quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed the view of the court yard. Also sat in the courtyard in the afternoon for reading and a glass of wine. Breakfasts were varied and delicious with eggs cooked to order. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying in a boutique hotel with attention to guests. Easy access to restaurants, shops, sites.
Very spacious and comfortable. Good breakfast. Close to everything. Helpful staff who even made up a breakfast for us as we were leaving early. Only issue is you cannot get to it by car but it is a short walk.
Very nice and comfortable boutique hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Hotel was right in old Town and very close to everything , fort, harbour, shops, restaurants etc. Breakfast was very good and they even took the trouble to ask about dietary requirements for breakfast and supplied gluten free food, for me which was the first hotel that did that in my 6 weeks in Greece. Marvellous and thoughtful staff. Nothing was too much trouble!would definitely recommend and return if we could
Excellent service from the welcoming and friendly staff. They are very helpful and look after their guests so well. Lots of attention to detail in the service, decor, and the food. Location was perfect too - easy to find, but in a quiet, residential street,- yet minutes away from the streets with shops and restaurants, and an easy walk from the Bus Station. The beautiful, peaceful courtyard was a real bonus - we spent our afternoons there relaxing and reading books in the sunshine. Just perfect!
The hotel is located in the old town, where one can reach in 8 minutes by foot from the bus terminal. It is also within walking distance to most of the attractions in the old town. The hotel room was very nicely decorated and cosy, I really like the bed as it was very comfortable. There was also a jacuzzi in our bathroom for us to relax. The staff were very friendly and helpful, making our stay a very pleasant one.
We loved this place. Situated in the heart of the old town. Very nice, very stylish... Friendly staff and lovely breakfast. We would come back to this Place. Free parking close to the Bus stop resp. soccer field. Only about 10 minutes walk from the Hotel.
We arrived at Cass Vitae in the early hours and were met by a friendly receptionist who had waited for us! It's a small hotel and all of the staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable, this included printing off bus timetables and giving advice on where to go. It was the Greek Orthadox Easter and we had Easter candles and information provided by the hotel which allowed us to enjoy and join the celebrations. Location is perfect for exploring the old town, and easy walking distance to the bus station. Excellent breakfast & lovely room, we honestly couldn't find fault with anything!
