We stayed here in the executive room with balcony for 5 nights. It’s a boutique hotel right on the central street of Rethymno. In a car you are best parking at the central parking area in the middle of town and walking down. It’s only €5 a day. The hotel has a sun area with splash pool so you can cool off at the end of the day. The staff are very friendly and a little kooky which all helps a very warm welcome. Any receptionist who says as I worried about her carrying my heavy case ‘don’t worry I’m a deep sea diver’, gets my vote. Breakfast is a mix of traditional Greek and English served till 10.30 each day. There are only 3 tables so you need to ring down in advance. Our room was very large with bedroom and a sitting area plus a balcony overlooking the old street. The only quibble is you have to hold the shower head above you, as it’s simply a connect from the bath; but it’s a minor issue. Location wise the hotel is well placed for all the streets and restaurants of the beautiful old town of Rethymno and if needed the beach area is only a 10 min walk away. Certainly recommend a stay here.
A wonderful holiday in Rethymnon, staying in this beautiful hotel. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and really bent over backwards to make sure we had the best holiday - take a bow Vasa and Spyridoula. We had room 107 which was spotless with a huge balcony which was very private. Ample breakfast, air con, small swimming pool which we had mostly to ourselves, but I keep coming back to the staff - they were so friendly and helpful but also professional. One small niggle - the hairdryers supplied are the wall-mounted variety so absolutely useless if you have longish hair. So either bring your own or use the hair salons nearby. Location is terrific...right in the heart of the old town but just 10/15 mins walk to the beach. Lots of lovely shops and restaurants but no hard sell by the owners, everyone was so kind and actually seemed to care that you had a great holiday. Would highly recommend Antica Dimora and would go back in a heartbeat!
The Antica Dimora Suites located just inside the gates of the old town of Rethymno is a beautiful little hotel. The rooms are old Venetian style, but with all modern amenities. It's quiet, it's air conditioned, it's got comfortable beds. It's clean! A good location on the pedestrian streets. Breakfast is really good and the staff makes you feel like family... and make some really good coffees too😎 The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. This place is highly recommend!!
Situated on the in the perfect location on the edge of the old town, Antica Dimora suites have been tastefully refurbished to provide a unique boutique hotel experience. Rooms are spotlessly clean, and extras such as the varied breakfast options, complimentary bottled water in the bedrooms and good quality toiletries, raise the bar compared to other hotels I've stayed in of this type. The main reason for recommending this hotel so highly has to be the small team of staff, they are welcoming, without being overbearing and cannot do enough to make your stay as relaxing and memorable as possible, from housekeeping to management. Well done, I can't wait to visit again!
8 suites. Friendly and helpful staff. Right in the centre of the old town. Generous breakfast and wi-fi that works. Pool is a plunge pool but perfectly refreshing. Everything clean and in full working order. What more could you ask for?
Fantastic location amongst the shopping area, this hotel was perfect for us. The rooms were nice and spacious--we had a seating area separate from our bedroom. I paid extra for a balcony which was nice and the building has an elevator, which I'd heard is rare for Rethmyno due to the preservation of the Venetian architecture. The breakfasts were our best all trip--cakes and cheese pies (along with the typical: eggs and Greek yogurt). The biggest highlight was our receptionist, Spyridoula. Adorable, friendly and extremely helpful, she just made our stay incredibly enjoyable! Loved this Venetian style hotel and everything about it! The only negative I could see someone possibly finding but it was not an issue for us is that in order access the pool, you have to go to the second floor and walk down the stairs. To come back in, you must walk back up them; there's no elevator access & you can't just walk straight from the lobby through the building even though the pool is on the ground floor.
The agent said we'd be lucky to get into Antica Dimora, because anyone who has stayed there wants to return. We were lucky, and she was right. Beautiful, if small, rooms, perfect location. A little haven in the heart of the buzzing old town. Simply the best quality service I have had in any hotel. Ever. We were treated as if we were family members. And I mean the family members that you like. Nothing was too much trouble. Indeed, Vaso and her team made it feel as if it was a personal pleasure to meet our requests. Small and intimate. The pool is tiny but pleasant and secluded. We have already booked for next year.
This is a beautiful family run boutique hotel in the centre of the old town and we stayed for 5 days during June. We can thoroughly recommend it. The rooms are stunningly beautiful, clean and extremely well appointed. The bed is comfortable and we always slept really well. The staff are friendly, welcoming and extremely courteous; nothing is ever too much trouble and we were always met with a smile. There is also a really good selection for breakfast. We will definitely stay at this hotel again. One of the best we have stayed in.
We only spent one day and one night in Rethymno, but the Antica Dimora Suites made it one of the most memorable of our 2-week trip. We arrived hours late because our ferry from Santorini had problems, but we were able to reach Spyrodoula (at front desk) to let her know we would be there well after check-in, and she was waiting for us on the front step at half past midnight with a big smile. She couldn't have been nicer and warmer and more helpful during our 24 hours in Rethymno, which we loved. The room was spacious and full of old-world character (if a little dark), the breakfast was fantastic and the pool and other guests made our stay special. We can't wait to go back and spend more time. Rarely do you have a hotel experience that in one day makes you want to stay for a week. Another couple there, from London, were staying for a month. Such a great place and town - can't recommend it highly enough.
This boutique hotel is gorgeous. We had a spacious bedroom with a very comfortable king size bed and a balcony overlooking the street in the old town. A complimentary large bottle of water every day! We had everything within reach, cafés, bakeries, restaurants, shops, everything! It's very difficult to find parking in the old town however we managed to find parking about 800m away. There is also 5€ all day parking available about 200m away. Vaso (front desk reception) was great! She was very welcoming and explained everything. We felt very comfortable with Vaso, she was very approachable. The breakfast was delicious! We also took advantage of the Turkish hamam (15€) ...we loved it! Highly recommended!
