Stone house in Asteri
The house is situated in a small village called Asteri approx 10 km from the city centre of Rethymnon , only 1.4 km (3 min) from the beach ,72 km from Heraklio airport and 76 km from Chania airport. Also at about 50 meters from the house there is a bus station that takes you to other villages and to Rethymno town.
The property has all the characteristics of a traditional cretan village house. The house will give you the opportunity to experience the true cretan lifestyle.
Asteri is a traditional village with a lot of traditional tavernas. One of them is opposite of the house and another one is situated only 500 m far.
In only 1.4 km from the house you can find super markets, caffes, pharmacies, bakeries etc. In fact everything you need ,to make your time spent there truly memorable.
The 85sqm house includes one bedroom, one bathroom, living room and a fully equipped kitchen.
At the living room there is a sofa that can be used as a bed for an extra guest or for two little children. We can also provide you an extra bed.
There is a delightful view from the roof terrace across the village and to the countryside beyond.
The yard outside of the house is about 40 sqm which is ideal for drinking your morning coffee or reading your favourite book next to the pool, in privacy
The house except from the fire place is connected to the central heating system and provides guests the comfort of a warm home.

A Perfect Place to Stay
The Stone House in Asteri and its village and people have been the highlight of our 5 weeks in Greece. We have liked it here so much we extended our stay from three to nine days. The house is lovely - attractive, clean and comfortable, large with a big front terrace to sit out, rooftop to view surrounding countryside, an enclosed courtyard handy for drying clothes, and a great taverna across the lane.
Stella is a perfect host, ever attentive. She met us at the bus station and arranged our car rental and return. She left us goodies to eat. She returned emails almost instantly. She warned us of inclement weather coming. She is the best.
Asteri is close to Rethymno so with a car you are only a few minutes away from town and other villages and sightseeing areas. We loved the peacefulness and friendliness of Asteri though and surrounding villages. It truly is a home away from home.

Relaxing stay in wonderful villa
Prior to our arrival, the owners communicated with us often and clarified all organizational topics, reply times were very quick. Check-in worked as planned, and we had a wonderful time in the accommodation. The villa is even more beautiful than displayed on the pictures, very clean, and all necessary cooking equipment is in place. The location is good, it is easy to reach and all major destinations (like Chania, Rethymno or the south) can be reached easily. Around are some lovely restaurants and nice beaches can be reached within 10mins by car. The hosts are very lovely and helped us with everything we needed. Overall a fantastic experience!
We recommend to have a (rental) car when you stay here, but the location is easy to reach and close to the northern highway.

War eine ausgezeichnete Ferienwohnung. Sehr geräumig, alles vorhanden was man so braucht. Die Vermieterin war sehr freundlich und hat uns auch noch mit Kuchen begrüßt. Küche war sehr gut ausgestattet und sogar die wichtigsten Dinge bereitgestellt (Wasser in Flaschen, Milch, Kaffee). Wir waren begeistert

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Vermieterin war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es waren Trauben, Kaffeepads, Butter und Marmelade, sowie ein Gastgeschenk für uns bereit. Das einzige was uns gestört hat, war der Geruch in den Schränken, aber es war ausreichend Platz die Kleidung außerhalb zu deponieren. Auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen.

Un accueil et une prevenance bien au dessus de nos esperances...Stella nous a comblé de petits cadeaux et de plats mijotés maison..la maison est conforme a la description, avec tout ce q u il faut pour passer un agréable séjour.
