I don’t have any negative comments at all. The host/owner is super friendly and also very accommodating. Hey, go and spend double and treble the price, that is your choice, but when you consider you are out most of the day and night anyway, why would you! For me anyway, a perfect stay and location.

The apartments at Hotel Elida are run by a friendly and welcoming family who always take the time to have a chat & give advice on places to visit in the local area. They're clean & all have their own balcony overlooking the pool. There's parking outside for some cars, though the road is very narrow, so only one vehicle wide. It's fairly quiet, with little noise from the main strip, just the sounds of nature - cicadas, birds and chickens. It's close to the beach & close to the main street where you'll find plenty of dining options, shops & the local supermarket. The pool area is clean and tidy with sun loungers and plenty of beautiful flowers and plants. There is a well stocked bar in the pool area as well.

Great location for my journey. Property is very close to the beach. Lots of dining options close by. Parking can be a pain but host goes out.of his way to be accommodating. Laneway to accommodation is very narrow for cars.

Οι ιδιοκτήτες είναι πολύ φιλικοί και εξυπηρετικοί, προσπαθώντας να μας προσφέρουν το καλύτερο. Το ξενοδοχείο είναι παλιό και απαιτείται κάποια ανακαίνιση, παρόλα αυτά ήταν πεντακάθαρο και αλλάζονταν τακτικά τα κλινοσκεπάσματα και η διαμονή ήταν ευχάριστη. Αυτό που δεν μου άρεσε είναι ότι δεν ήταν κατανοητό εξαρχής και χρεωθήκαμε επιπλέον για το κλιματιστικό (5 Ευρώ ημερησίως).

Die Zimmer sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, jedoch sehr sauber. Die "Herbergswirte" Manos und Nikos (Junior und Senior) sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Das Zimmer ist mit einer kleinen Küchenzeile inkl. Besteck, Geschirr, Kochutensilien und Kühlschrank ausgestattet. Außerdem hat es einen Balkon mit Tisch, Stühlen und Wäscheleinen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Supermarkt und Souveniers), Tavernen und Bushaltestellen sind gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Der fußläufige Strand ist auch sehr zu empfehlen (sauber und gepflegt).

Excellent price

Located in a competitive area, it is an excellent alternative to low budget. The beach is just at the end of the street and many restaurant on the orther side of the street. Facilities to cook in the studio, air conditionning and private outdoor space beside the pool.. The tenant was very kind, smiling and flexible.

Family run nice hotel.

Pro: - Clean and cozy room - Quiet place. Many good restaurants, supermarket and beach are very close. - Well maintained swimming pool, deep enough to dive. (-the deepest spot will be about 3 meters) - Kind and helpful host family Cons: - Unreachable distance by foot from the center of Rethymno (more than 10km away) - Too much chemical smell from the pool.
