We stayed nine nights at Villa Macaw over the holidays with a group of 10, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.The home itself is magnificent, perched above Quepos with breathtaking views of the city and the Ocean. Every morning, like clockwork, a formation of four macaws would fly past the villa—an unforgettable way to start each day. We were also lucky enough to have monkeys visit the property, which was an incredible experience seeing them up close for the first time.One very pleasant surprise was the daily service—each day the house was spotless, and our clothes were washed and neatly folded, which made the stay feel especially relaxing and luxurious.The pool overlooking the city was spectacular and quickly became a favorite gathering spot for our group. Whether during the day or at sunset, the views were simply stunning.We packed the trip with memorable excursions including ATV rides, a waterfall tour, Manuel Antonio National Park, zip-lining, and a private New Year’s Eve sunset catamaran cruise—all of which were seamlessly arranged. Working with Mauricio leading up to the trip was a pleasure. He was incredibly responsive, booked all of our excursions, and even secured reservations at a few popular restaurants that typically don’t take them.Villa Macaw was the perfect home base for our Costa Rica adventure, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone traveling with a group looking for comfort, views and an unforgettable experience!
