Awful staff, terrible hygiene & bad parking. Much better options will be available

The room was really a small 2-bedroom apartment, with large living room, dinning room (8-chair table) and a nice kitchen. The two bedrooms had their own bathrooms and small patio, plus the living room had a large, large patio/deck overlooking the lake. This was the most spacious "hotel" room I ever have had in my 20 years of business travel.

We had a regular room. It was in between one bedroom suits. The room was pretty big. After opening the windows to the balcony we had a about 45 degree view of the lake and the mountains, with no obstructions or people. Same view from the bed. No noise. Easy parking. The only concern could be the distance to the center. It is about 25 min walk by the lake. The walk may be a problem or an asset as the location is very quiet. The hotel has a fine restaurant with reasonable prices and excellent quality. If requested they can seat on the balcony; views do not get any better than that.

Had a great time....beautiful views of the lake and mountains and very nice 2 bedroom apartment. We really enjoyed ourselves. The only downside was it was very difficult to find our way back to the lobby, restaurant. Very much like a maze, not accessible especially carrying luggage, children, and strollers!! But overall it was awesome!

The hotel was fine. Adequate.

The facility is newly completed - a good location (20 minutes walk to the town), spacious rooms, many with a great view. On check-in, we complained there was no heat in our room. We were told SORRY - there was nothing they would do - and to make sure the unit's only electric heater was on high. After an hour, the temperature was only up to 61 degrees and we decided to take a warm shower. But, the unit was so cold, the steam from the shower set off the fire/smoke detector. We were told - SORRY - turn off the shower and OPEN the windows - making the room even colder (it was June -winter in the New Zealand mountain town). We asked to be moved to another room but were told - SORRY - there was NOTHING they could do - we were stuck in that room with no heat. [...] Next I asked for a space heater and was charged $20 deposit for one and we bedded down for the night - with the stove and heaters on full blast - and still were cold. The next morning the maintenance man came and fixed the heater. It seemed they were unprepared for winter. We thought we'd go to the hot tub to warm up, but SORRY - there is none. Next - we thought we go to the restaurant, but - SORRY. It's closed indefinitely and could walk 1/4 mile to the hotel next door. Overall, a new apartment, well furnished and comfortable, but no one seemed to be the slightest bit interested in assisting, or helping make our stay more pleasant.

The hotel was great and so was the hotel staff. We stayed for 4 days and even though there was supposed to be no service, we found that we had fresh towels everyday in our room and our beds were made. We went in peak summer when it can get quite warm in Queenstown. But there were no fans or air conditioning.
