First of all, you are in the loveliest place on the planet so plan accordingly as these will be precious memories. The town is easy to navigate and you will understand the two parts of town on either side of the lake. We made splendid and memorable trips to Millford Sound, Wanaka and took a personal helicopter to Mt. Cook and Tasman glacier. Four total days in Shangri La. Just fantastic. Driving was exhilarating and left hand driving was no issue - the road signs are even better that in the majestic fiords in Norway. People are friendly, crime is non-existent, traffic not any issue. Blue skies and the most gorgeous starry nights. South Island, NZ is the prettiest place on Planet earth
Great location, view and amenities. Loved my stay here. Very comfortable and enjoyed the beautiful town.
The Queenstown Hilton is just across the bridge from the airport. It has many amenities , and the most basic room is absolutely stunning ! It is a little ways from all of the action 'downtown' where most adventure trips base, most restaurants and shops, but there is a water taxi and bus system that makes things easier, they also have a free Hilton shuttle at set times of the day which Saves you $5-10 one way. hotel staff were unbelievable , so friendly, gorgeous views all around.
Great hotel, super view, friendly staff, amazing food, what more can i say.
Beautiful hotel in ideal slightly removed location. Not in city center, but that's easy to get to from this calm and gorgeous place.
Fabulous room ... value for money..... Cozy and comfrtable room ... good restaurants .. not to miss the Mee Mee chinese cuisine there... Gym and Hot pool amazing....
This hotel in Queenstown is a beautiful hotel with views of the lake. However, we were hoping for something near the downtown area of Queenstown, and the hotel is actually located about a 10-15 minute drive from that shopping district. We came in a day early, hoping that they would be able to accommodate us with very little problems. The hotel also matched the price posted on this travel site, which saved us a little bit of money. I think it's silly that this hotel charged for wifi use. Even some of the motels we stayed at during our road trip across New Zealand had free internet access. I have to say there is free internet access near the lobby and restaurants (to my knowledge), but not to have it in the room without having to pay additional monies is just silly and quite a disappointment for a hotel of this caliber. I also should mention they have a shuttle and water taxi to the downtown area. The views were nice, the people were friendly, and the price wasn't great but wasn't bad . I would probably stay somewhere else next time to be closer to the city so I could just go out and walk around rather than having to drive/take a shuttle/cab/water taxi to get to the heart of Queenstown.
