Very large room with full kitchen. Walking distance to all nearby site. Free parking but limited spaces on first come first served basis. Very helpful front desk staff pointing us in the right direction to get the most of our trip

Really enjoyed Coronation Lodge. It was very easy to find, off street, under cover parking. Room was super clean and spacious with an excellent bathroom. Breakfast for $10 per head was good value for juice (choice of three), coffee, tea, yoghurt, fruit - fresh and dried, muesli or cereal, toast (three types), jam and honey. Very close to town, park, wonderful walking track, the Bathhouse for coffee - definitely stay there again - highly recommend.

On arrival I was upgraded to an apartment with great views so I was off to a great start. Can't fault this lodge, everything was spotless, staff super friendly and helpful and right across the road was the path down into central Queenstown, only a two minute walk, but bear in mind that same path back to the lodge is very steep so bit of a climb. Very close to the Gardens and the Mall but just far enough away to not worry about the noise. Great stay.

This lodge is just far away enough from the noise, yet an easy 4 minute walk to central Queenstown. The rooms are cozy and the staff always ready to help and take care of your needs. The rooms have a small fridge and there's a balcony to enjoy coffee on.

Situated a 3 - 4 minutes pleasant downhill walk to CBD (remember an uphill acceptable return walk!), we found the boutique lodge to offer rooms of generous size, well appointed facilities, courteous and helpful staff, good free wifi and under cover parking (limited spaces, but supplemented by adjacent available street parking) and (for Queenstown) at a reasonable price. We chose the delux king (unserviced) option for our 4 days stay, and chose the daily continental breakfast at $10p.p. which comprised a good range of fresh food choices. Sky TV with 50+ channels was also welcome. Recommended.

We had a fairly large room with a king bed and an extra cot for my daughter. Nice wood floors. Clean. comfortable. Friendly staff. Easy walk to the downtown activities, yet far enough away from the craziness.

Stayed for a week in a king room (unserviced, no kitchen facilities) and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. As former Queenstown residents, we had not stayed here before but were keen to stay close to town and the gardens on our short holiday back visiting friends in Queenstown. The location is perfect if you want to be within walking distance to town, close to the bus, near the lake and gardens. It's also a really tranquil spot adjacent to the greenery of the gardens, a view of the gondola and mountains behind town (and paragliders), and there's lots of natural light that comes through the big windows. I loved waking up to the sound of the unique Alpine birds. It's also a good location if you're driving from the airport, or Wanaka/Arrowtown direction, as you turn off Frankton Rd before getting into the centre of town, so you avoid the busy section around Shotover St where lots of accommodation is on the other side of the lake. The room itself was simple and timeless - lots of timber- flooring and wardrobe/desk were all timber which adds to the alpine feel. The King bed was large and comfortable, and it was great to have a desk and two chairs as well. The bathroom was large and had everything you need, including heating for the winter months. I particularly loved having a balcony with a small table and two chairs. I loved looking out over to the gardens and seeing the buzz of town, without all the noise of being right in the centre of town. We had tea and coffee making facilities along with some complimentary cookies when we arrived. While we didn't have a serviced rate, the staff were happy to refill our towels and tissues etc if needed during our stay. This hotel was one of the quietest I've stayed in throughout Australia, NZ and Asia recently, in terms of noise from other rooms and guests. Occasionally we heard noise from the street- cars, skateboards, people talking etc. But of course, this can't be avoided and nothing kept us awake or interrupted us during our stay. Staff were friendly and always around if you needed anything. The property felt safe and secure and very clean. The gardens outside the hotel itself were beautiful and well maintained by staff daily. They really take pride in their property. I'd love to come back and stay here again, maybe in a serviced room as after a week our bed had got pretty messy and I felt bad asking for new rubbish bags, towels etc nearly every day. There is six parking spots for guests (12 rooms), but being so close to the bus you can really get the $2 Queenstown bus everywhere and you can easily walk to town straight from your room. If you're looking for a quiet, homely, comfortable and central stay in Queenstown I highly recommend this hotel. It doesn't have the sophisticated style of some of the newer and flash spots in town but it's honest, good value that you'll appreciate and you'll enjoy coming back to your room after your daily adventures.

Room was great! Super homey and cozy. If you're looking for amenities and a posh place to stay, this isn't your place. However, if you like good service and a friendly staff, you won't go wrong here. Would definitely stay here again!

Warm and cosy. Close to town (5 mins walk - bit of a hill coming back) but far enough away to get little noise apart from people passing; chatting on the street. Comfortable bed and pillows. Nice wood flooring. Under floor heating in bathroom. Window which can be opened as well as balcony door. 6 car parking spaces (12 rooms) but over the Christmas period the garage was never full. Kate very helpful with remote control problem - determined to get it fixed. Minor issue: shower head couldn't be moved, which made for tricky manoeuvres. Wee Christmas gift was a nice touch- great cherries! Thank you. Overall a great stay!

Perfect location! Lovely staff, really helpful! Great room. We had a king sized unserviced room and was great size and bathroom was lovely! Beautiful view of the hill and even a glimpse of the lake!!! Would definitely recommend a stay here. Our only little thing was no air conditioning just a fan and we found it a little warm at times but didn't really effect the stay.
