Peaceful location, lovely room with balcony, pleasant helpful staff, breakfast availability, off road under cover parking, within walking distance to town centre - what more can one ask for? Good restaurants nearby.. Would return again

Good price for a clean room adequately appointed. Central heating and heated bathroom floor meant we were never cold. Free wi-fi is always a winner. The real winner is how convenient this place is to the centre of town - walk to anywhere. Breakfast is available but restaurants are so close and the price about the same. Ideal base when you’re only spending your sleeping hours in the room. Would use again.

My partner and I stayed here in August 2017. We stayed in one of the double bed suites. Staff were friendly and the room was very clean and cosy. Room came with cable TV, a mini fridge, wardrobe and ensuite. Each room has an allocated locker downstairs to store skis and snowboards in. The hotel was only a short walk to the centre of town, and to the Queenstown Gardens. The hotel has its own restaurant for breakfast, and there is a small car park underneath should you need it. We enjoyed our stay here and would consider it for our next trip to Queenstown.

We stayed here for 5 nights in a kitchenette room. Location: located on the edge of the main Queenstown hub, this was quiet and peaceful. A short walk down the hill and you are right at the lake. Cleanliness: the room was very clean, and cleaned every day If you wish. Room: spacious, with 2 single beds to make a king. The room was modern and recently renovated - we were pleasantly surprised. The bathroom has under floor heating. The kitchenette comprised of electric stove top, microwave, mini fridge and all the cutlery/cookware/Crockery you need. The staff provided us with a portacot for our toddler and made arrangements for us to get a key after hours when arriving late. Noise: you could hear the occasional footsteps and voices in the rooms, but certainly not significant enough to disturb us. Overall, we had a great stay, and the staff were very warm and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed 7 nights and overall was pretty good. The rooms are clean, about a 5 mins or less walk into down which was a bonus! My suggestion would be to get the kitchenette room like we had (room 10) just because everything is expensive in queenstown so it gave us the option to cook our own breakfast everyday and if we wanted we could have had dinner there too, good facilities in the kitchenette. Friday and Saturday night some noise from drunken people on the street going passed but not the hotels fault. That's what you get being close to town which outweighs the noise on 2 nights and it wasn't consistent noise or anything. We could her noises from the room next door so just be aware of that but again not to bad unless you had 'bad neighbours' in the room next door. My real only downside was the wifi, it was very slow sometimes not loading pages and would drop off a lot. So I suggest hot spot with someone who has reception/data or get some plan if you rely on the internet when your away on a trip. But other than that we were very happy with our stay!

We stayed for a week. A lot to like about this place. Location could not be better - almost in town but quiet. The rooms are modern and clean with a great main bed with electric blankets. There is a drying room for your snow equipment and although only limited parking, we secured a park every night even though only returning from the alps after 6 pm. What was totally frustrating was the woeful wi-fi., we sayed 7 nights with next to zero wi-fi for the 1st 3 nights/days and then it was OK for the next 2 nights/days but after that, it was back to where it started. That may be OK if you are on NZ telco plans but very expensive if you end of using mobile data (which we did) from Telcos outside of NZ. This sort of thing should not be happening in 2017.

We stayed four nights during our Queenstown visit. We loved the location and easy access to town. The self serve washer/dryer was very helpful. The continental breakfast was good, however, we went green and didn't pay the extra for breakfast each morning. Emily was super sweet and very hospitable...she also suggested us taking the TSS Earnslaw Steamboat tour to a sheep farm from Queenstown ... it turned out to be a wonderful highlight of our trip to New Zealand. What was almost perfect (4 out of 5) is the fact that no hotel personnel is on duty during the night. On our last night, a single incident, we had very late guests (mother and sons) arrive above us and were talking loudly and she was walking around the wooden floor in high heels for a better part of 30 mins. It was midnight and I couldn't sleep. I called the hotel number for emergencies and was told by Kate, who was offsite, to "just knock on their door" and tell them they're a little loud. So I awkwardly knocked on their door and they soon got quieter. Hotel service tip: a call from the hotel personnel to their room would have been more appropriate and professional. If I am in Queenstown again, I would stay here again, but probably reserve an upstairs room with a kitchenette and microwave. We loved almost everything about it.

Located just minutes from centre of town, this lodge is all you need for a quiet, cosy and comfortable stay in Queenstown. We arrived late at night into Queenstown and that was no trouble for the hosts. They left our key to get into our room and arrived into a lovely appointed, warm, king room. The rooms are all wood and floor boards which gives it a lovely lodge vibe! The rooms are very clean and comfortable, with a fridge, cups, kettle, tea and coffee. Lovely little touches that were wonderful in Winter, like heated underfloor tiles in the bathroom, electric blanket, ( we didn't use as was warm enough without it), local coffee and a plunger and recycling bins and free and good wifii your whole stay. You can also choose to go green and not have your room cleaned every day and in return you get breakfast for free, which is also a nice touch as who really needs new towels every day? The bed was very comfortable too. All staff were very friendly and very helpful. The bus for transfers to the mountain is just 2 mins away and walk into town 5 mins. We had a lovely stay and we extremely cosy and warm the whole stay! We would recommend coronation lodge to anyone that is going to Queenstown!

This was a fantastic stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. This lodge was up on a hill above the main part of town with a short walk down to restaurants and shopping. Several choices for breakfast in the lodge itself if you want to eat there. Reasonable prices and you have choices from fruit, cereal and yogurt to a full cooked breakfast. Clean spacious rooms with great views.

We spent 3 days staying here over Easter, we were very happy with the accommodation, clean quiet and convenient. Only a few minutes walk to the town on a safe walking track. We took advantage of the Green Policy and made up our own room in return for a It provided everything we needed. parking was available but we were central enough to walk and felt very safe coming back into the Lodge at night.
