TLDR; -Soundproofing issue if you booked a Quad room -Facilities all working but old -Decent food options about 14mins walk away (mostly flat but a bit of uphill leading to property), -Surroundings can be bit dodgy -Service was 100% AND thoughtful. We checked into a WARM room! — Pros first: Staff were accommodating and have an “on to it” attitude. I’ve called the property one day before to request for extra towel and they sorted that out. On arrival day, our flight was delayed and staff put my mind at ease when they say they stay on property half an hour after closing the reception. We even have a warm room to settle down in when it was pouring outside! I was told that housekeeping is usually done weekly so on day 3, we called to request for drink sachets to be topped up, rubbish taken out and vacuuming. This was all done, and additionally they changed towels and made the beds too. Only miss was milk topup (which to be fair, we didn’t request for). By now it sounds perfect since it’s priced affordably for 4 pax. BUT… Property facilities and furnishing were visibly old and tired, which given the price range, is fair enough. Drain in shower area would overflow a little if you run a little too long (can’t help when you have little ones). Soundproofing needs work, we had “neighbors” for 2 nights, and they sang till 10! Worst, we ran into a drunk man (about 3mins walk from property) at 6.30pm…was a scary encounter for our kids. So I guess, you get what you pay for!

For Queenstown prices it was good value for money. The only negative was that it was noisey, especially with people going in and out of the shared bathroom facilities all times of day and night.

We had an overall excellent stay — the place is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were welcoming and the atmosphere made us feel right at home. The only minor issues we noticed were a strange smell in the toilet and that the shower drain wasn’t draining as smoothly as it should. These didn’t take away from the experience too much, but addressing them would make the stay absolutely perfect. We’d definitely recommend this place and would be happy to come back!
