Great value for short stays with all you need, good wifi adequate breakfast. Secure free parking and handy for hypermarkets and also not far from Pau Centre. Could do with a makeover as looking tired.

As always, comfortable bed, clean room with all you need for an overnight stay including peace and quiet, food if required and no hassle check-in. We arrived at 12.30 were able to check-in right away. Very pleasant staff. Free wifi. Definitely value for money!

This is an old motel style establishment that needs to close for a season for refurbishment. The room we had was very cold with no floor covering and a very old bathroom. The decorating was very poor and looks as if it hadn't been touched for many years.

Exactly what you expect from these hotels, no more no less. Quite well situated with an Auchan just across the road, Quick Burger etc. Usual breakfast, reasonable internet. Not much else to say really. All these places are more or less the same, never really disappointing but never really good either, just cheap, which is what you want really when you are on the road and just need to stop for the night.

This review is only reviewing the Internet at the Campanile. (Star rating Reflects Internet only! I have stayed at campaniles throughout France over a number of years. This one was as expected. It is an old standard motel which could do with a lick of paint. However, beds god comfortable, clean. Hot water clean towels wifi and tv. Secure parking and a good restaurant. What I would say was that it was busy and with only 3 staff, cooking, serving and managing guests not only for restaurant but also booking in services was not as good as one would have hoped at dinner time. Don't often drive this route france to Spain so doubt that I will revisit. However I will continue to use Campanilles as the generally provide a set standard and value for money.n n

Typically when travelling around France, I opt to stay in Campanile hotels as you always know what you are going to get - good value, comfortable rooms, tea & coffee making facilities, excellent shower and a pleasing breakfast buffet. The Campanile in Pau did not disappoint, it was easy to find, had good parking and the food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced. This is an excellent gateway into the Pyrenees.

Refurbished old motel. Small room but comfortable. No lift so had to carry our bags up the stairs to the first floor. Good value. Decent breakfast. Big secure and free carpark. Staff were very good. Not sure of location to town but easy to access by car.

The restaurant had just closed when I checked in, as it was a public holiday the day after, managed to convince the receptionist to let me eat the buffet !! Room was typical campanile, nothing fancy but everything worked !!

A place just to get some shut eye whilst watching the World Pony Driving Championships. Clean fair size room. Felt safe had metal shutters on the windows . Good parking. Coffee making facilities. We sadly went to a nearby steak house for dinner which was dreadful . Wish we had eaten at their own restaurant . And we also didn't have breakfast before we hit the road for Paris. Big mistake as eventually found a so called fast food Mac drive through. Took 20 mins. Would definitely use these no frills low budget rooms when i just need a bed and not spoiling myself.
