We had a sixth floor room that shook in the morning from the street cleaning machines. Basically this is just a place to stay while travelling through. You have a fridge, microwave, dishes, utensils, and tea/coffee makers, but no coffee. No food nearby either. For the price it's comfortable enough though. Once you've found the right driveway, the right building and the reception you should be ok, unless there's no-one there, which happened to us. A long distance phone call later we finally got in.
Room is spacious and fully equipped. Missing points, no mirror in the room, bath room floor with lot of stains. Cleaning staffs need to be supervised. Otherwise, good place to stay at reasonable price with spacious room and free parking.
On such a long drive overnight accommodation was required. We also had our dog 'Abby' with us. So we needed to choose wisely. Victoria Gardens was the perfect place. Good quality rooms with the ability to use cooking facilities or use nearby bars and restaurants. There is also a very good shopping center within a 5 minute walk with a service station. Breakfast is available at a good price and all includeds free parking
I have stayed here on three previous occasions and found it convenient, clean, good value. This time - quite dreadful. Our room was not serviced properly (bed just covered over), definitely not cleaned at all. Noisy on both nights and the corridors had an unfortunate smell! Although we shall be visiting Pau again, we shall not use this place.
I stayed here one night, last summer, very basic but nice.I was doing an Eurotrip with my husband and we rest here during the night. Very big and clean room, with a large bathroom, free parking and very convenient prices.
Fine and right in the heart of the city. Cool prices. I don't get their policy about WiFi, one of the last place where you have to pay for it. Reception: nobody when you would need them most... but that's part of those management ideas adopted by CEOs educated in one of those calamitous bizz schools: humans are just wallets or valets. So, give away the Wifi thing, add some hours. of reception and you may change your customers into guests. But here I. appreciated the location, very central, and the quietness. let's add that personel was friendly....when they were around.
This over priced under serviced apartment hotel is conveniently located next to NOTHING. It took them 8 days to clean my room. The person on the front desk DELIGHTED in not understanding my request for detergent for the washing machine. Despite the fact that detergent is the same word in English and Francais. Seriously, **** this place. There is nowhere to eat nor to socialise near this abomination of an hotel. Do Not Stay Here. I was forced to stay here because le tour was passing through Pau. Stay somewhere near the city where yoiu might enjoy the regional culture. Do NOT STAY at the Victoria Garden Slum, where you willl be overcharged, underserviced, and insulted by parochial personnel.
I stayed here as part of a tour when I came to do the Etape in 2014. It's pretty basic but it works. It doesn't look much from the outside but the rooms are clean and a good size. The reception closes for lunch (1-2) and is only open until 7pm which can cause a problem but other than that I have no complaints.
Nothing fancy but very clean and reasonably priced. Nice hot shower but no A/C, it wasn't a problem during our stay but you should be aware. We didn't eat breakfast there but it looked nice and presentable. Would stay there again!
We stayed for weekend of motoring event and because we were coming and going at odd times it was great to have kitchen facilities to make snacks and packed lunches when we wanted. Also very close to Leclerc supermarket and easy access to motorway. Staff were very welcoming and informative. Safe parking and about a 40 minute walk to centre of town. Studio apartment was perfectly adequate and hotel service provided in making beds, cleaning etc. No frills but at the price that was hardly surprising. Breakfast service available if wanted.
