Stayed a couple of nights here. Popular for business travellers and very good value. Very clean and comfortable, free wifi in rooms and mini gym. Only drawback is it's about 3 miles from the city centre. The reception staff were very helpful too.
A positive surprise for myself. I've visited this establishment twice already and i found that the prices are low, the rooms are spacious, functional and well cleaned! It's better than what you would expect. Yes you can hear the noise from everywhere and the decoration is not luxury, but hey, 40€/night is cheap for the solid service you get!
As a group, we occupied 3 apartments and we were all very impressed. Very good value for money, rooms modern, clean and comfortable with wetroom/shower en-suite bathrooms. Receptionist was very helpful and spoke good English. You could easily stay there self-catering for a few days, given the equipment available - fridge, microwave, coffee making etc. Or you could do what we did which was to pay 9.95 EUR for breakfast. You would struggle to find a better example of a buffet, there was everything from fresh juices, teas, coffees, hot food, cold food and everything in between. The young lady, originally from the Netherlands, who looked after us at breakfast is worth a special mention - very pleasant and entertaining. Location wise, the hotel is < 1km off the main road but note that there are very few restaurants and bars in the area, it is more like an estate of similar hotels, albeit it very pleasant. There is also what looks like a great health spa across the road. A taxi into Pau will take 10 minutes, we walked it in 40 or so and took the bus on our final day. An ideal location if you are ever wanting to stop near Pau. Recommended.
What a wonderful Hotel Everything about this hotel is outstanding From the bed to the bath from the fridge to the microwave this place has it all The reception staff spoke good English and were very helpful It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in and we will definately return
We had driven in from Toulouse on country roads instead of the highway and it was difficult to find the first time. The staff was nice and helpful. They recommended a place to park for free in the center as well as very good and reasonable restaurant in town, Le Berry.
When we first walked into the apartment my husband’s reaction was dislike - but we ended up really liking it. Initially the clean, white simplicity appeared stark and sterile. However once it was filled with our things it looked great and was excellent because there was plenty of room to properly unpack our stuff. It ticked all the boxes. It is not a long way from the motorway as you come into Pau and was found easily by the satnav. There is plenty of safe, easy, free parking. The building is new and nice looking. The reception staff were very nice. Our apartment was on the second floor – there was a good lift and stairs. The apartment was a large bedroom with separate big shower room with loo. The kitchenette was very good with fridge, two ring hob, microwave and coffee maker and well equipped with cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery and glass. The bed was comfortable, there was a telly, 2 comfortable chairs and a table. The shower was excellent. There was excellent free wi-fi. It was quiet. We would definitely stay again stay again.
We spent 4 nights here and other than being out of town it is perfect, it feels a little like university accommodation, no atmosphere but newish, clean and heaps of parking which is free. Receptionist was very helpful when checking us in, trying to point us in the right direction for somewhere for dinner. But being Sunday there were no shops or restuarants closeby for dinner. The hotel has a takeaway pack for €9.90 which was ok in an emergency but wouldnt recommend it. The room is quite small so small that the wardrobe is on wheels and needs to be wheeled around to move around the room. But saying that it was comfy clean and suitable for a short stay. The kitchenette consists of two hobs, small fridge and microwave. There is a suitable amount of plates, cutlery and saucepans but no kettle. House cleaning removed the rubbish everyday, made the beds and changed the towels on the second day. The hotel does not provide any dishcleaning equipment which is rather annoying and we had to ask for a plug. The wifi was fast good enough to watch UK TV and fast download. We used the bus to go into Pau. There is a bus stop 5 minutes walk and costs €1/trip but they have just converted to a card system so you need to buy a card first up. Quite easy to use though but only run once an hour. However there are other buses a 15min walk away. You can walk into town in about 30 minutes. There is a large Leclerc supermarket about 15 mins walk and other supermarkets in Pau. There is a small gym on site with a some equipment suitable for a workout and within 2 minutes walk of a large aquatic centre
We wanted good value accommodation near Domaine des Sers on the northern outskirts of Pau for our stay 22nd - 26th October. Our party of 4 needed comfortable beds, lots of hot water, and the ability to make drinks and snacks at odd hours. We didn't need restaurants and bars, 24 hour concierge service or any other extras. All Appart fitted our needs perfectly, it was quiet and very clean, had heating and hot water always available, and in addition had very helpful staff (NB reception only manned until 8pm). The only tiny negative was that there were no mugs only small cups, but it seems churlish to knock a whole reveiw point off for that!
We booked a family room which was basically two small apartments with a joining door which was fine for our needs. Bed ok but small pillows. Easy to find and access. Just used it as a stop over on way to med. Did not have hotels breakfast as we had our own supplies. Did use the free WiFi with an amazing upload speed of 50mbps. I would use again if in area as could feed family in peace had early night and set off in morning.
Clean with a comfy bed these apartments are very close to the autoroute exit but are about 10 mins by car to the city centre. The studio room was compact in the extreme but the little kitchenette had everything you might need in terms of equipment. There is an E Le Clerc supermarket about 5 mins away by car but this would be more like 15 on foot. The studio had plenty of heaters but no fan or cooling which was a real problem with temperatures in excess of 36 degrees c - we bought a fan from the supermarket!
