Big private eco villa on a mountain, infinity pool and amazing view over the sea

In 2016 we finalized the building of our eco villa in the montains of Vasilitsi. No neighbours, only wildlife and a wonderful view over the valley and the see. The villa accommodates people who love the sun but it also supports people who want to be in the shadow. In the garden we have a stone bed where you can enjoy the perfect weather the whole day.

Our eco villa is fully self supportive. Electricity is created by the windmill, solarpanels will bring you warm water which we collect ourselves. The complex contains of a combined living room and kitchen, four bedrooms, three toilets and showers and last but not least two bathrooms. Furthermore the swimming pool is an eye catcher with a perfect view over the valley and see.

The owners have decorated the inside as well as the outside fully themselves. At the front of the house we have created a place of approximatly 70 m2 where you can relax on the sofa and enjoy the perfect view in the shadow. We live outside day and night! On top of the villa is the master bedroom with a private terras of 80 m2.
We have build a villa in architecture and created a place like no where else.

Stunning Views and Villa

A beautiful villa in an amazing setting. Night and day the view was stunning.We all enjoyed the pool especially as there was a heatwave the first couple of days.We had to use fans at night and when we let property manager know one wasn't working another one was provided.Would love to go back to explore the area more, a week was not enough.

Oh, The Views!!

Wow! This property was everything it said it was and more! The drive up from the main road is a bit steep but it is all paved. When you walk into this home you can tell there was so much thought and love put into putting this property together. The layout of the kitchen and great room offers space and comfortable furnishings. It's when you walk out the back onto the main terrace is when the WOW!! hits you. The views of the Messinian Gulf and across to the Mani Peninsula are nothing short of spectacular. The wide staircase that leads down to the infinity pool just leaves you stunned. I can't say enough about the thought that Edwin and Inge have put into this place. Because the villa is powered strictly by wind and solar A/C is not installed. But it really didn't matter. You just open the doors and let the breeze blow through. Very comfortable. On the rare occasion when it is still, generally in the mornings, floors fans were just fine to move the air around. The outdoor spaces are to die for! Seriously, I have never been at a place with so many areas where you can just escape. So well thought out and delightful. The local area around the property is interesting with lots to do. We were there for 8 nights. There are three lovely beach towns that stole our hearts. Koroni, Methoni, and our favorite, Finicounda. The castle ruins at Methoni are a must see. We also drove up to the ruins at Ancient Messini. Very interesting. We ate all our meals out in these little towns that boast numerous delicious seaside restaurants. We even rented a boat for the day out of Finicounda. And a couple of days we just never came off the mountain. We were fortunate to have had perfect weather for our stay and enjoyed magnificent moon rises over the Mani. It was one our favorite times of the day. Thank you Edwin and Inge for the privilege. We just loved it!!

Gorgeous!!!

Eco villa in Koroni is a must! The views are amazing and couldn’t stop staring at them in the week we were there. Close to beaches and restaurants, best restaurant being Nikos in Vasilitsi, just down the hill. The villa was beautiful and has many beautiful touches. The only downfall we found was that there weren’t screens on all the doors. During the day there were many yellow jackets wasps, and at night mosquitoes. It was impossible to keep them out of the house. There were many places to relax in the home, and a view from each of them. Edwin was easy to reach and cared that we were enjoying our time.

Amazing Place - Issue with Electricity shortage / No water

in general, the place is out of this world, with amazing views, great interior, clean, great furniture and concept. Maybe the best I have visited so far from VRbo in Greece. The problems started with the power efficiency of the place... we were a group of 7 + 2 kids with plans to mainly stay - work - and enjoy the villa. This all-day stay together w usage of electronic devices led to power shortages and stop of electricity 3 of the 6 nights we stayed and 2 of the mornings. No electricity on this property means: freezer stuff melted and spoiled, no water to clean ourselves, no water for the toilets..., no fans for the night sleep, no way to charge our phone and communicate, no power to work with our laptops, no internet. We acted extremely politely and show full understanding to the owner, by accepting this issue and tried to have fun within this situation. we couldn't do anything to change it, so we moved on. Last day again we had a power shortage... We were 3 days like that, as a result, we couldn't use the dishwasher to clean kitchenware. Also to be completely honest we decided no to clean the house with no power since some party groups were disappointed and were thinking of a refund, and since we accepted this whole issue of the house with no complaints they didn't want to clean. So we left the garbage in the house and we left the dishes in the washer and some bottles and glasses here and there. When the person who cleans came to deliver the keys, (that seemed to have full compassion about the issues we faced w electricity), seemed discomforted because she should clean everything with no electricity (as she said). And since we hadn't done much, it was a huge task. After leaving she sent a message to the owner w video of the house situation, which was not clean telling him that with no power she will need more people. After that owner, issued a refund for damages of 150euro to us. NO DAMAGE was made to the house... the only thing is that we didn't spend hours of cleaning dishes and other stuff, with no electricity... So in the end, even though we didn't ask to be refunded for a place that didn't have water and electricity for 2mornings and 3 nights (no mention of danger like that on the listing...) we got fined because there was no electricity for the cleaning lady to clean... Isn't that amazing? Anyway now I have to fight back because I may be kind, but I am not stupid.

Great Villa!

We stayed for two weeks. Everything was great from the moment we booked. Smooth and quick communication with Edwin, the owner. He was able to answer questions regarding our travel etc. This made it clear to us it would be a good experience all round! Ines, the lovely lady that looks after the villa was also in touch beforehand to check our arrival time & bed requirements. Another good sign! We were a group of 7. Two 14 yrs olds, two 18 yrs old, and three grown ups. This villa gave us all room to spread out! The bedrooms were a good size, the living area inside was really not used that much but was also spacious. Bathrooms were fantastic. We loved the shaded outdoor space. So much room and seating available. Lots of different seating areas outside, everyone could find their own space. The pool was perfect! Inside the villa everything had been thought of. We made good use of the music speaker! Ample towels etc., glasses and crockery also in good supply. This is by far the best decorated and most stylish villa we've ever rented! We had a couple of issues during our stay, both were dealt with very quickly, within half an hour! One was WiFi, even on holiday we did still need this. Teenagers for social media and sadly for work for a couple of the grown ups. Once there was WiFi it worked well but the issue was all of the data had been used up before we arrived by the previous guests. Edwin was great and said to just get more on his account but I felt this was an expensive way to do it. Looking on the local providers website you should switch your tariff Edwin - you'd get a better deal! The only other issue was the washing machine. We had great difficulty in getting it to work. It did work once but we couldn't get it to work again. I think this issue was to do with the electricity but I'm not sure what the problem was as we always had plenty of electricity! We never ran out of water - all was good! The drive up to the villa is hair raising!! The kids loved it! As mentioned in earlier reviews don't rent a sports car! It is worth the trip up for the amazing views. The area is beautiful. We visited lots of local beaches, some near, some far, lots of local restaurants. Rented a boat for an afternoon. We also made a trip to the Polilimnio Waterfalls and the ancient ruins at Messene. Both worth while trips. We left early and were back for afternoons round the pool. Spent evenings in Koroni, Gialova but most in Finikounda. Lots of choice.

Amazing Eco Villa

Stunning views -- and at night an abundance of stars with the Milky Way on clear nights. Telescope and binoculars came in useful to look at the twinkling constellations. Wonderful swimming pool enjoyed by my 9 month old granddaughter as well. Lovely spacious living areas inside and out. Koroni and Finikounda within 10 minute drive for daily shopping or dining out. Pylos further west along the coast lovely village and Methoni has the remains of an old fort -- worth visiting. Edwin ws very helpful and quick to respond when there was a problem. Lovely relaxed holiday in a beautiful, rural, quiet location.

What a view

We had a wonderful time at the Eco Villa - Near by wonderful beaches, no mass tourism, and always very friendly people. That was not the last time that we visit this area/house. Great Villa in a great location

The Eco Villa is fantastic: Great architecture, terrific views, very friendly and helpful landlords. The kitchen is fully equipped. There was plenty of space for the eight of us, everybody can find a place to be on his / her own. A car is indispensible. Enjoy the landscape, the beaches, the culture and the food, but you will always return to the Villa with a smile on your face 😊. Will return definitely, when time allows.

Traumhafter Urlaub in tollem Haus und herrlicher Umgebung

Wir haben eine sehr schöne Urlaubszeit in der Villa auf dem Berg mit einer einmaligen Aussicht auf die Berge und das Meer verbringen können. Das Haus ist wirklich besonders gestaltet, mehr als komplett und liebevoll ausgestattet und bietet viel Raum draußen und drinnen auf diversen Terrassen und in schönen Räumen. Sandra hat uns vor Ort zuverlässig und sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen und durch die Zeit mit Rat und Tat begleitet ebenso wie Edwin per WhatsApp oder am Telefon. Wir haben das warme Mittelmeer, die umliegenden Orte und Strände sowie die nahe gelegene Taverne bei Nicos in Vasilitsi ebenso genossen wie die Zeiten am gut gepflegten Pool mit dem Blick über das Tal zum Meer. Die Erwartungen nach der Beschreibung im Internet wurden erfüllt bzw. übertroffen- wir können diese Unterkunft auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Sensationelles Haus

Ein wirklich großartiges Haus und eine fantastische Lage. Der Pool ist so groß, dass man wirklich schwimmen kann. In der näheren Umgebung ist eine Taverne und der Strand von Corona. Das Haus ist sehr stylisch und praktisch eingerichtet. Man muss bezüglich des Eco-Standards einige Dinge beachten, aber dies ist in keinerlei Hinsicht eine Einschränkung. (Zum Beispiel kann man die Waschmaschine und die Geschirrspülmaschine nicht im gleichen Zeitraum laufen lassen.) Im Umkreis von 1 h Fahrt sind die schönsten Strände der Peloponnes zu finden. Es war ein unglaublich erholsamer Urlaub, den wir gerne hier wiederholen möchten.

Ein wunderschönes Haus zwischen Koroni und Finikunda einsam auf einem Bergrücken gelegen mit fantastischen Blick auf das Meer. Vier Schlafzimmer, zwei Bäder,eine grandiose überdachte Terasse und nicht zuletzt ein großer Pool lassen keine Wünsche übrig. Bestens ausgestattet mit allem was man nur brauchen kann. Das ganz besondere ist jedoch,dass dieses Haus autark "funktioniert", das Haus erzeugt seinen Szrom zu 100% selbst und das Wasser kommt aus den Bergen...und das funkioniert absolut reibungslos...toll!!
