Absolutely beautiful property. On the beach and by the golf course. Both locations are fantastic! Private beach with comfortable and beautiful beach furniture. Thatch sunbrellas block views. Take those away and it is perfect. Golf course is the most beautiful Course I have ever seen. And I have played many nice courses. I am not a great golfer but I do appreciate an attractive course that is well maintained in a fantastic spot. Staff and concierge staff are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and help make it an experience!
Heaven on earth, but lots of lots of minor issues. Hair dryer, AC, shower, tv, lights. All minor, but kind of a pain. Great location, room, staff, service, food, chef, bar, waiters. We will definitely return
This was our first family trip to the Dominican Republic and we were so pleased with our stay at Eden Roc. The location is spectacular and the property is well-maintained. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food, golf and other activities we participated in were five star. We are already planning our return visit. Special thanks to Abby, Liza, Jana, Samira, Juan, JC, Oscar, Miladys, Christian and the rest of the waitstaff at Blue and La Palapa!
Nothing but positives for this gem of a hotel. The location is remote enough to be incredibly quiet yet close enough to Cap Cana to enjoy the local town. Ocean views are amazing as the white sand beaches. A new hotel that was thoughtfully designed with relaxation in mind. Service was top notch and the staff incredibly friendly and personable. The food options were wide and preparation was world class. A highly recommended spot to relax in the Dominican Republic and we will definitely return.
This is a must visit place!!! I think this was my fifth visit and everyone of them have gotten better and better. From the arrival at the airport with the VIP service that I highly recommend avoids all the waiting in lines. You receive a warm welcome from your driver from the resort with is included in the rate and a nice touch. When you reach the resort which is at the end of a long road you feel the relaxation take over your body. Check in is flawless either at the suites or the beach club. I stayed in a one bedroom apartment on the beach for the second time and they are beautiful. The food is delicious in all three restaurants. The beach is spectacular. But the best part of Eden Roc are the people!!!!!!!!!!!
Very good hotel. Very good personal. We had a butler named Meelton. This is the best butler in the world. He was always there and helped our family in everything. Also in this hotel excellent restaurants and food in general. Also worth noting is the beach, which was cleaned every day.
What an amazing property! The rooms were well appointed, great linens, bath products, and furnishings. If you are looking for a place that provides quiet relaxation and calm this is the place for you. Although the property was about 80% occupied when were there, it did not feel that way. It was the perfect place to kick back and relax. The staff too was wonderful, from making our initial reservation with Franciso, to being welcomed daily by Liza, Janna and Karla, to Abby who helped organize activities while we were there. Also cannot fail to mention the lovely smiling Miguleina who made every lunch on the beach a marvelous experience and Juan Orlando and Santos who were there for every breakfast and dinner with welcoming smilies on their faces. Sergio and Matthew helped organize our evening meals at the restaurants on the property and never failed to go above and beyond expectations. Sergio even went out of his way to find Aloe Vera for my children. Matthew helped my children organize a fabulous surprise dinner at the Mediterraneo restaurant. Elvis and & Juan at the beach club were always attentive. The staff really made this experience one our family will soon not forget. You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a more personal, relaxing, gourmet and quiet vacation.
This hotel is incredible they make you feel like a celebrity rock Star even if your not. The rooms were stunning and exceptionally clean. This resort is paradise on earth so peaceful and relaxing with such friendly staff ready to help you anyway they can. This is a true 5 star plus hotel in every way from the food, service and activities. We went on amazing excursions and just had a problem on one of the Boat excursions but other then that we had a blast especially at Escape park which is right by the hotel make sure you visit the park they have so many fun things to do. This resort was tremendously relaxing and such a beautiful, relaxing, and magical place to visit and we look forward to our return. Thank You Eden Roc
Eden Roc is a gem of a resort with an amazing beach, pools, restaurant and service is top notch. This resort is great for families or couples given that it is big enough to be peaceful and yet also full of things to see and do
First the good: Everything about this place looks beautiful. When I say "beautiful" I mean absolutely stunning. I can't say enough about how great it looks. The golf carts were very convenient and really just fun. The desk staff was helpful and courteous. Shirley at arrival was very nice and filled us in on all the particulars. The food at La Palapa was good. Fairly pricey, but that was expected and not unreasonable. The included breakfast at Blue was very good. Our pool was large, and clean, the room was the same. The outdoor shower was a nice touch. All sounds great, right? Well, not so much. All this was overshadowed by the fact that we constantly had to badger the front desk about the temperature of our room. Mind you, it was never overwhelmingly hot in our room, but the temp was set at 18 C (about 65 F) and I estimate that it never got below 74-75, and the bathroom was always a few degrees warmer. They said they would send maintenance at least a dozen times, and they showed up about half that many, usually a couple hours after they said that someone would come by. On our last day/night, they said around 1 pm that someone would come by. He showed up at about 8:00, right as we were about to shower and get ready to go to dinner at Blue which I was told by the front desk closed at 10. We waited until about 9 for the maintenance guy (nice guy btw) to do his thing, but ended up having to shoo him away to shower and get ready to make it to dinner on time. We rushed getting dressed and booked it down to Blue to have dinner. Let me remind you, I had JUST called the front desk to ask what time that Blue closed and was told 10 pm. We arrived at 9:30 only to be told that it was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday night. So, our only options were: La Palapa (where we had just eaten the previous night), room service, or the very expensive Mediterano. By that point, I was starting to get pissed. Not wanting to drop $300 on a dinner that I didn't want anyway, we opted for room service. We looked great all dressed up for our fine in room dining. I must say, the penne with bolognese might be the best thing on any of the menus. There was another issue while ordering drinks at the beach. We ordered 2 piña coladas while at the beach (when in Rome, amirite?) and it took about 20-25 minutes to get our $45 worth of drinks. I don't want to come off as unreasonable, but at about $20 per drink, I expect a little quicker service. Long story short, for the price of Eden Roc, I would probably spend my money elsewhere. We were married at Zoetry (about 20 miles away) and the service was twice as good at about half the price. The grounds and rooms were not as incredible at Zoetry as they were at Eden Roc, but they were sure as hell more comfortable. PS I started this review as we were waiting on room service during the last meal debacle as the maintenance guy was still in our room at 10 pm. I originally gave it 2 stars. I didn't think that was quite fair, and after I settled down I bumped it up to 3 stars. I wish there was 2.5 star option.
