This place not in town & we found it hard to fine. It has it's good points & bad. The rooms are very clean with balcony looking over pool & to the ocean. It is quiet a large place & the grounds are also very clean, has secure car parking. The bar area is good & you can get same meals there it restaurant opens at night. Staff helpful & friendly. The down side is the restaurant our buffet meal a night was very disappointing & things not cooked probably very basic choice for a large resort, there isn't really any where else close by to eat, breakfast wasn't any better.

This hotel has good and poor points. The good: It is exceptional clean and staff really friendly and helpful to us. Particularly the reception staff. The hotel is structurally of a very high standard for a resort tourist hotel. The fittings, decor, lobby, beds, etc. The poor: The location is really catering for the Spanish holiday maker in the summer. It is on a beach, isolated by a mile distance from the rest of the beach resort nearby and is not really located at El Puig but rather at the beach a mile from El Puig. El Puig is not a resort town but rather an inland town of some historic interest with a brilliant museum showing the history and developent of the printing press along with valuable historic early printed matter. The food was rated by one reviewer as school dinner standard. That is an exaggeration but it is very basic out of season. Beautifully cooked but limited small choices. Five main choices each night with two soups and small salad bar and breads etc. Breakfast was basically egg and bacon or full choice of breads, meats, cheeses. If you stay at this hotel for visiting Valencia it is right on bus stop to city centre, price 2 Euros and 30 minutes. Driving it is fast dual carriageway. Hope this is helpful.

We travelled there as a family with 2,5 young daughter. We have'd a great time in RTL Valhotel. That's what we like the most: The staff was very helpful. Once we found ants in the room, we got a anti-insects spray and they offered another room for us. They helped us too printing our tickets to BioParc. We had a room with an ocean view and garden view - amazing one! That was fantastic. They have very well equipped playground, our 2,5 years old daughter had a great time. The hotel is next to the beach. Although lunch and dinner are served, you won't leave a dinning room hungry. Glass of sangria / beer / bottle of water included to meals. There were also some disadvantages: WiFI has such a poor speed that for me it has not been existing at all. Some dishes were sometimes almost raw and I don't mean beef which obviously may be crude if someone like it. But I found pork and fish raw sometimes. We had a lot of ants in the room on last night of stay (well managed by hotel's stuff, see below).

Great location, right on the beach. Excellent views. Good connections to Valencia. Friendly staff. Very good cuisine at affordable prices. There was only one drawback: WIFI was only available in the reception area.

We stayed here because of the pool which was pictured in the booking.com advert. When we arrived we were told that the pool was closed until May. As we had had a long taxi journey to this hotel and the surrounding area was an industrial estate with nothing to do, apart from table tennis, we were bitterly disappointed. The beach was desolate and there were no cafes anywhere nearby. We were going to try and make the best of it but dinner was dreadful - the food was 'worse than school dinners' to quote my children. The noise level in the dining room meant that we couldn't even have a conversation because of the group of 40 or so children on a school trip. We told the chap on reception about the pool issue, he spoke English but was unable to help so we had to cancel the rest of the trip and find another hotel. Miraculously the next morning there was a large sign on the reception desk that said the pool was going to be open from 19 April ( the next day) but they still couldn't open it on 18th. On checking out the staff were unhelpful and rude and said they didn't speak English. When I asked for a reduction in the rate as we had not risked breakfast or been able to swim- the manager threatened me with the police and refused to speak to me about the issues. He ranted at me in Spanish for a long time and then walked away. This is definitely not a four star hotel - I would say at best a 2 star - but don't go there if you want good customer service or plenty of atmosphere as you will be very disappointed.

Nice big room with balcony. The staff was friendly and parking was free and secure. Breakfast was good, bit a too much sweet choises. Wifi was really poor. The train stop was far away (to get to Valencia). The walls were quite thin so it was a bit noisy

This hotel was booked so I could attend the MotoGP, it's located right on the beach, it's quite a large establishment with English speaking staff. There's ample underground parking and I was given this free. My room was a good size with a balcony with views of the sea, very nice. The hotel has a restaurant which provides breakfast and dinners. I'd venture out for dinner, in my opinion the food wasn't the best. It's a good clean hotel and the staff are pleasant enough but the location is a bit far out from Valencia old town, I must of paid about €70.00 euros for a cab ride after one night out. Depending on your requirements this could be a great place to stay or look closer to town.

We stayed at Valhotel in September. The hotel was very clean and spacious with a large pool with direct access to the beach plus very pleasant external seating areas . Our room on the second floor was a good size, with a side view of the sea. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony just big enough for two. We were half board and could always find something we wanted to eat from the buffet. All the staff were very helpful and the lady on reception spoke English. As the hotel is set on the beach it is slightly remote from the town and a family with children would benefit from having transport unless content with beach setting. Bus to Valencia stops outside the hotel. I would definitely return to this hotel.

It was our weekend retreat in a search for sun. We booked this hotel on a day we arrived and it was a great decision. The location of the hotel is amazing, just beside the long sandy beach (direct entrance from the hotel) and all the rooms has an amazing sea view and nice balconies. We booked a family room and were surprised to get app. 40m2 big room including two separate rooms (1st room king size bed, 2nd room double beds) each one equipped with TV and each one with their own balcony or small terrace with sea view. The beds are really comfortable and I must say they were the best one's I have ever slept on in a hotel. The only downsize of the rooms is that the sound insulation is very poor...in a peak season it must be difficult to sleep if you have luck to get the noisy neighbours ;-) The hotel offers a buffet breakfast which was nothing special but must say fair enough and big enough to satisfy needs of an unpretentious customer :-) The hotel staff, especially reception and bar staff were really friendly and helpful and made our short stay even better. They even prolonged our last day stay until 15:00 or even later if we wanted free of charge and without any problems at all. The hotel has also outside (small) and underground (big) parking space so you do not have any problems to park there. From the hotel to down-town Valencia there is app. 15 minutes of driving (highway) which is perfect if you want to be located on the beach (for a great price) and also explore the great city itself :-) Very recommendable especially for families with small kids or all beach and sea lovers ;-)
