I booked this cute hotel because of it's secluded location in a quieter part of Valencia. The hotel looked like the pictures and had a wonderful ambience and location. This is not what my complaint is about; Sadly our balcony door broke on the first day. This was one of the main reasons we booked this small hotel. So we could sit outside and enjoy the view. What with having no pool this was hugely important to us and the reason we booked this and not a city hotel for much cheaper. We also do not enjoy using air conditioning. The price of the hotel was peak season so almost 200 Euros per night. I was offered 50 euros compensation only off a 600 Euro booking in total. When I chased this up I was offered not one bit more. It's poor etiquette and I would not recommend given this hotel your business.
Nice sea view and (unattended) sky lounge. Location perfect at beach an close to restaurants. Breakfast very basic, food insufficiently cooled, and filthy coffee cups. Hotel is also neglecting other maintenance (coffee machine, lightning just to mention two). Some smells on the bed room floors. Friendly staff but unable to respond to guest requests. Management not present. Same music all week long in public areas. All in all, too expensive for the current service. Hotel with great unleashed potential. Btw: tripadvisor lists this hotel twice -> see „Hotel de la Playa“ with different rating !!!!
The hotel room and view are lovely. Each room has a very private terrace. In the off-season it is a great way to be right on the beach at a reasonable price. The hotel's outdoor seating is a very cool place to have a drink. My husband and I traveled there as a way to get out of the city without having to travel too far. Unfortunately, the breakfast was very, very average.
The hotel is clean, although sometimes you can smell a very strong cleaning product scent not very pleasant . The view it's good, right in front of the sea and the rooms are large with a fine decor. The shower has some lights in the ceiling to imitate the night stars but the main shower, was not functioning. Only the hand one. We were the one of two people standing in the hotel and they gave us the room where the shower didn't work. We ask the receptionist that told us the shower had just broke the day before (it figures) yes she gave us the opportunity to move room but let us know that the other rooms would be smaller... So we stayed in the same one. The breakfast it's a little limited. We have bread, croassaints, some coffee, dry bacon and tortilla , boiled eggs and then some fruit pieces who some were already rotten. Overall it's ok but I feel it didn't meet the standards for an hotel who charges not so cheap in a low season.
Meraki Beach Hotel is a gorgeous small hotel (12 rooms!) right on the beach in Playa Farnals. + Gorgeous views from every room + Wonderfully furnished room + Good wifi + Very clean + near the bus stop + cheap public transportation (bus 112 Euro 1.70 to Valencia) + gorgeous beach that's warm enough for swimming in October + fantastic lunch + the best coffee around! + beautiful restaurant and cafe + free chairs for the beach +bike rental 9 Euros a day + Very friendly locals who are willing to help tourists as best as they can + Incredibly friendly and helpful taxi drivers - breakfast that is poorly laid out and could have a much better selection (we opted for coffee and two delicious rolls instead of the full breakfast) - bike rental for 1-2 hours is not available at a cheaper rate (according to the receptionist) - 35 minutes from Valencia with a bus 112 that goes once an hour with the last bus from Valencia going at 9 pm, which is a bit limiting but certainly doable. - information given at reception We were given misleading information that caused us to almost miss our plane. The young employees whose duties include working at the bar, cafe and reception need more training on how important it is to give correct information concerning public transportation (as well as other useful info) to their guests. I would recommend having information available in English that details how to use public transportation to Valencia using bus 112 (with ALL stops shown on a map), using the free bus to Pobla Farnals and then continuing on with the metro and how to use taxis (including prices). We were given misleading information at least twice which was incredibly frustrating and ultimately led us to hiring a taxi because of lost time. To prepare yourselves, I've written down some info that might be useful to you: From the airport: - Get a taxi for 40-42 Euros. It's about 20-25 minutes away. - Take the metro to Poble Farnals and then the free bus (once an hour) to the beach. Pobla Farnals (the main town) is about 5 km away) - Take the metro and then get on bus 112 From the hotel to Valencia: - the easiest is bus 112 which runs once an hour - it is also possible to take the metro (see above) If you take bus 112, get off at bus stop Saida, go across the bridge (Josep) and go to Bike Mania to rent a bike for 8 Euros a day. You'll have complete freedom to see the city and ride through the park down to the Science center, marina and beach. Make sure you get a map showing all the bike routes. Bike Mania has them available free of charge. I would most certainly go to the hotel again because it truly is a relaxing experience and the view and location is fantastic. However, I hope they'll take my recommendation seriously about having correct and detailed information IN ENGLISH available for their guests regarding public transport and other services available in the town.
We celebrated our wedding at the Meraki Hotel. The reception took place at the Skybar, it was fabulous to have the amazing views of the sea just in front of the hotel while we were having our cocktail seated on the large sofas listening to the chillout music. Everything was decorated carefully for our special day, especially the terrace downstairs where we had our wedding feast, with flowers and wedding decoration everywhere. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and took care of us very well, making it a perfect day. Amazing cocktail bar.
Beautiful, minimalistic room with perfect view over the beautiful beach. Modern fittings and very roomy with large private balcony. Did not take breakfast but ate several times in the restaurant - the food was excellent at a very reasonable price. We stayed there in early June just before the season really opened and it was nice and quiet. Good selection of restaurants, again reasonably priced.
Nice suite with good bed. Jacuzzi is great but taking a shower in it is less easy. The room is huge, small balcony with seaview right above restaurant terrace. Breakfast is ok, not very expensive either. We didn’t like the constant music from the restaurant, from breakfast until in the evening. It is such a beautiful spot to enjoy in silence...
This was a quick 5 day break from 25th Nov with the hope of catching some winter son. The hotel is situated on the beach front and we had stunning views from our room of the beach and sea. The hotel only has 12 rooms which was perfect for a quiet break. We booked the holiday through secret escapes and there was an option for half board but we went b and b. The hotel is not easy to get to from valencia airport and the taxi cost 45 euro. Although we wanted peace and quiet we did not anticipate the majority of restaurants and bars would be closed and occasionally opening at odd times which meant dining out was difficult. Had we gone half board I am not sure how the hotel would have delivered this as we were informed that the restaurant was closed. However drinks were available. We watched one of the staff meticulously lay tables each day for dining and menus were displayed but were informed on further enquiries that food was not available? The room was lovely and cleaned on a daily basis although towels only changed every other day. Staff were friendly and helpful. We visited Valencia on one day by bus which was 1.70 euro , we were told the taxi would cost about 25 euro. The bus was easy to catch and a cheaper option but only runs on the hour with the last bus back at 6pm. The old town was beautiful but again quiet a walk from the main town. We ate at a restaurant called Toni's on our first night (Saturday ) this was reasonable in price but the restaurant was then closed for the rest of our stay. There were not many tourists in the area however I imagine in high season the area is very busy and because the hotel is on the beachfront quite noisy. The weather was also a bit hit and miss. When it was sunny it was gorgeous however cold at night. Most of the locals were wearing winter clothing- boots etc. Take plenty of layers and adequate footwear if going in winter months as it definitely is not shorts and flipflop weather. Nice walks along the beachfront but the town itself is quite residential so not much to do. However locals are helpful and friendly. Enjoyed our stay but would not be firs on our list to revisit.
We stayed at Meraki for 2 nights and totally enjoyed it. Great room with amazing sea view and veranda. Very romantic. Walking distance from the beach. No screaming kids, since it's adults only place. Highly recommend.
