My wife and I wanted a short getaway from LA and the hotel and the value met our expectations
Was disappointed compared to other Palace properties we've stayed out. The food was not very good, especially the lunch selections. Also the entertainment wasn't very good. There were no robes in the rooms and the wifi was poor. The Palace was exactly the same as Roy Jalisco and I expected a nicer property.
I have stayed at other RIUs in the past so I didn't expect this. Our room, sheets, bathroom were dirty. Someones underwear on our balcony when we got there. No new room offered. The staff is offended that you're asking them for anything. Food is mass produced and not fresh. Sometimes after a night out on the town I they'll give you a 7:30am wake up call you didn't ask for. Stay somewhere else.
Great week with helpful staff. Close to affordable golf, cold beverage, and clean beach. Trifecta!!
Everything was great except the black mold in the room and the misty smell in the room..buffet could have a little better food options. Guacamole was delicious! And the staff were great!!
This is our fourth Rui so far. Overall, what we would have expected in terms of food and entertainment. The room was what we have come to expect with a a great view. The pool and food were good. The service was lack luster compared to other Rui's we have stayed at. Many times the wait staff were slow to get us set up and needed additional prompting to help us through the meals. With two small children with us, we found this disappointing. In the past we would find wait staff we liked and stick with them the whole time for pool side service as well as meals, but this time, we found only one waitress, that gave that kind of effort and her section was always full. Our bathroom was not cleaned daily, which was a disappointment as well. I had to bath my 3 yr old most days and the tub would be messy with sand many times from the day before. We also ran out of shampoo and lotion and had to go to the front desk to ask for more the day before we left. Has our room been properly attended to this would not have happened.
Horrible food. Hotel staff not professional. Numerous reques to clean the room were ignored
The RPP is a very nice hotel on the beach in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. The all-inclusive format provides a junior suite room, balcony, great food in the buffet plus four ala carte restaurants. The pool is large, with an additional infinity pool attached, and the beach offers a lot of seating with umbrellas available for daily rental at a nominal fee. The food is very good, and the lobby bar provides evening entertainment with a pianist/singer. Nightly entertainment in the form of theater shows is provided, as well as music for dancing before and after. Not to everyone's taste, but it is pretty much all there is to do after dinner. There is no nightclub or disco, although there is comfortable outdoor area for enjoying the night air. Clientele is typically age 40 plus, and there were not many children during our recent visit. Staff is super friendly, attentive, and enjoyable and the hotel is maintained very well. There is daily entertainment at the pool, including water aerobics, a "crazy game" contest, water polo or water volleyball, beach volleyball, bocce ball, and other beach games. all available if you choose to participate. The pool bar is the best we have ever encountered, with built in tables and seats in the water. Little has changed since our first visit four yrs ago, and we consider it to be a great vacation spot.
Our 20th stay at this resort so we are obviously BIG fans. Amenities are superb but it is really the staff that makes you anxious to return. We love it!
Had a good time. Staff is very helpful. Food was acceptable and in a few cases very good.
Sent 5 days here after recuperating from our daughters wedding in PV and Las Caletas. We thought the hotel to not be lacking in anything. Huge variety of food, clean grounds and beach. Very polite and attentive staff. They had Dos XX on draft which happens to be one of my favorite beers. We went to all of the specialty restaurants, had no trouble getting into any of them, some with a bit of a wait, others we just walked in. The buffet had something for everyone, we also went to the steak house for their buffet lunch several times. Drinks were not strong, but that was OK, if you want a buzz stick to the beer or wine. We spent most of our time on the beach and Jose Luis worked his tail off getting us drinks from the bar. Water was a little chilly but it was January. My husband went sailing several times in their little catamarans and he had a blast doing that. They have a few beach vendors congregated in a hut on the right side of the beach, expect to bargain them down to about 50% of their initial asking price, but the jewelry was of good quality and we bought a lot, being very happy with the price. Cheaper than in PV. Occasionally they walk around to the guests on the beach but were not pushy at all. . We walked along the beach to Bucerias and wandered around the open air market they have which was fun, but it's a hike, maybe 4 miles round trip. Shows were a little lame but entertaining to watch. But they have a live band in the eves that was fun to dance to.
It is a wonderful place to stay and the staff was friendly. Highly Recommended!
The service was amazing and all staff was very attentive to our needs and wants. My favorite bartender was Arturo he went above and beyond to get you what you needed. He can be found at the sports bar which is a 24/7 service for all your needs. Overall great experience.
We checked in and the person said we had a room on the second floor, but could offer one on the 8th floor in 2 days, as we were staying through Christmas. Both rooms were great, but the view from the second one was awesome. The facilities are wonderful. Well maintained, and very clean. The food at the buffet was very good with lots of choice, so we felt no need to try the a la carter restaurants.
My first trip to Mexico didn't start well. They lost my luggage at the airport. When we checked in, our room was facing the construction view. They told us there were no rooms available. The next morning, I went down and talked to the from desk and they told me a room facing the inside will be available the next day at 3:pm. Food was good but we cannot make reservation at the restaurants. We had to wait in line and our entire party had to be there to be seated or we cannot go in. No chance since we had a party of 12. Everyone placed their blankets on the chairs to book a place to sit at the pool very early in the morning but they did not show up until later in the day. Our party end up standing around and place our stuff on the ground when there were plenty of empty seats with blanket on them. I saw a fight between two man trying to book a chair at the pool early in the morning. Fortunately, the kids had fun playing in the pool and the ocean. Children were ignored at the pool bar when they tried to order drinks. We let our kids to eat at the buffet restaurant by themselves and went to the adults only restaurant. Our kids were kicked out of the buffet restaurant because they needed the table. This place need better rules for their guests.
Amazing beach, great service. A fantastic, relaxing and worry free vacation.
The wifi was not great... but if they improve that... it will be real perfect
We had a great time. Food and facilities were excellent. Can't beat morning walks on the beach.
Large facility near beach with large pool and (noisy in the afternoon) swim up bar. All ages and nationalities present. Food is very good and main restaurant (Peninsula) has nice variety. Specialy restaurants are very good, not great, but the new line-up system to get in is annoying. Entertainment in the evening was enjoyable including roving mariachi band in the restaurant. Lounge chairs get staked out starting as early as 7 am but there are lots of chairs. Beach is clean. Staff is fantastic.
The most beautiful and most amazing hotels I've ever stayed at!!!
