We are going to this place 3-d time. And each time no regretting. It's nice and beautiful place, good service, delicious food, good entertainments. Clean beach and pool. Nice place to be.

The staff was amazing. They were friendly and helpful. I loved being so close to the beach. I liked that beach chairs were provided. It was a great stay.

Front desk staff was unhelpful and needs retraining on customer service. They spoke English but not bad cust service skills so don't bother asking for anything. The food and bev staff was awesome and had quality liquor which kinda save them from getting a two. Property is nice, clean, shower sucked, pool is nice but a time of kids especially in the swim up bar. Why are they there?? Food was not the best I've had in Mexico but was fine. The steakhouse was really good, breakfast buffet pretty good but dinner just ok. Pretty good entertainment nightly for guests. Close to excursion activities center but this is not in Puerto Vallarta. A cab ride to the city to explore would get a bit pricy. And they do not take American dollars at all. Why, I don't know...

All staff need tip, they wont make us pizza or pasta till we tip them. Paid $3700.00 for six nights not worth. Staff very rude. We were party of 70 people and housekeeper stole $800.00 dollar from room. Complain to manager. No action was taken. My kid was stuck in public bathroom for 20 minutes(door was locked form inside) not even apology form manager or staff. As a vegetarian we only have a option to eat pizza and pasta. First three day they didn't made any pizza for us and pasta cook was rude.. after paying 3700 dollars we have to tip them everytime we go about 10.00 per person to make vegie food. pool hottub was not turned on even after complaining to staff.. housekeeper dont even clean bathroom or mop every day.. room was full of sand. Won't stay again.

Overall it was great. You can hear everything in the rooms because of all the tile. The maids pushing their carts was so loud and disturbing. I wish their entertainment was better, and they had a better sound system at pool. Food was ok. They need to allow for reservations at the gourmet rooms. You have to line up outside like cattle, very early in hopes to get in.

Overall very nice resort. Food was very good and bountiful. Staff was outstanding. Hotel could use a little updating, but it was immaculate. Would have enjoyed a little more activity.

This hotel is really quite nice. It is compact and smaller than we are used to, but it has a lot of character. We've stayed at over 15 all-inclusive resorts and can honestly give this a thumbs up. Its a couple steps up from RIU Jalisco and Vallarta. Room=Great, nice views, well maintained. Bed was a little hard, but staff brought up an extra pad upon request and it was much better. Drinks=Great, good liquors, staff was knowledgeable, outgoing and friendly but no sloppy tiki bar stuff. Food=plentiful and good variety. Not extremely flavorful but that's ok you can add your own spices. Restaurant hours=Not Good. Specialty restaurants do not take reservations and they are only open until they fill up then close without warning. Most start at 6:30 pm and close around 9:00 pm. If you are not in line or have a pager, you are turned away. We arrived 40 minutes BEFORE they closed and they declined to accept us. The buffet turned out to be even better than the Specialty Restaurant that night. The best thing is we were NEVER hounded by either time-share or excursion sales persons. Only one pool but it didn't seem too crowded. Animation crew has a few things to do but most were blah. Shows were entertaining, but nothing special. They tried. It was great value for your money here. Not much for kids here so I would not recommend for families

Great get away with our friends. Fine dining and outstanding service. Didn't leave the resort all week.

Staff was always pleasant and willing to help. In every way, a great experience.

Very nice experience, we went for a destination wedding a family member was having at Riu Palace. We visited another Riu resort and preferred this one. We upgraded to a two bedroom suite with an ocean view since we are a family with two young children and loved our room. Very clean. The staff did every thing they could to quickly meet our needs. No complaints at all.

My wife and I wanted a short getaway from LA and the hotel and the value met our expectations

Was disappointed compared to other Palace properties we've stayed out. The food was not very good, especially the lunch selections. Also the entertainment wasn't very good. There were no robes in the rooms and the wifi was poor. The Palace was exactly the same as Roy Jalisco and I expected a nicer property.

I have stayed at other RIUs in the past so I didn't expect this. Our room, sheets, bathroom were dirty. Someones underwear on our balcony when we got there. No new room offered. The staff is offended that you're asking them for anything. Food is mass produced and not fresh. Sometimes after a night out on the town I they'll give you a 7:30am wake up call you didn't ask for. Stay somewhere else.

Great week with helpful staff. Close to affordable golf, cold beverage, and clean beach. Trifecta!!

Everything was great except the black mold in the room and the misty smell in the room..buffet could have a little better food options. Guacamole was delicious! And the staff were great!!

This is our fourth Rui so far. Overall, what we would have expected in terms of food and entertainment. The room was what we have come to expect with a a great view. The pool and food were good. The service was lack luster compared to other Rui's we have stayed at. Many times the wait staff were slow to get us set up and needed additional prompting to help us through the meals. With two small children with us, we found this disappointing. In the past we would find wait staff we liked and stick with them the whole time for pool side service as well as meals, but this time, we found only one waitress, that gave that kind of effort and her section was always full. Our bathroom was not cleaned daily, which was a disappointment as well. I had to bath my 3 yr old most days and the tub would be messy with sand many times from the day before. We also ran out of shampoo and lotion and had to go to the front desk to ask for more the day before we left. Has our room been properly attended to this would not have happened.

Horrible food. Hotel staff not professional. Numerous reques to clean the room were ignored

The RPP is a very nice hotel on the beach in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico. The all-inclusive format provides a junior suite room, balcony, great food in the buffet plus four ala carte restaurants. The pool is large, with an additional infinity pool attached, and the beach offers a lot of seating with umbrellas available for daily rental at a nominal fee. The food is very good, and the lobby bar provides evening entertainment with a pianist/singer. Nightly entertainment in the form of theater shows is provided, as well as music for dancing before and after. Not to everyone's taste, but it is pretty much all there is to do after dinner. There is no nightclub or disco, although there is comfortable outdoor area for enjoying the night air. Clientele is typically age 40 plus, and there were not many children during our recent visit. Staff is super friendly, attentive, and enjoyable and the hotel is maintained very well. There is daily entertainment at the pool, including water aerobics, a "crazy game" contest, water polo or water volleyball, beach volleyball, bocce ball, and other beach games. all available if you choose to participate. The pool bar is the best we have ever encountered, with built in tables and seats in the water. Little has changed since our first visit four yrs ago, and we consider it to be a great vacation spot.

Our 20th stay at this resort so we are obviously BIG fans. Amenities are superb but it is really the staff that makes you anxious to return. We love it!

Had a good time. Staff is very helpful. Food was acceptable and in a few cases very good.
